Have you guys ever failed a KQ?
I think mostly everyone has failed a KQ.
If you did, why do you think you failed? I failed, only in the Slime KQ. I don't know why I haven't failed in the Mara KQ. I think we failed because, the tanker tanks by hitting the King Slime then, runs away. Also, no one took care of the slimes that were produced. In the end, it was me, a cleric and a mage. I had to tank. I tanked by mashing my, HP potion button, HP stone button, and my Heal button. I was working fine, but the Prince and Queen Slime, attacked me, then I died. That was my last life. I saw the mage in Roumen not that much later. |
Tons of times. Most of the time because people are stupid. Other times because we didn't have enough clerics or didn't have a good enough tank @_@

yes, a lot of KQ failed due to retards that trains own teammate because they think we lost the KQ with only 1 fighter, etc.

Main reasons why my KQ fails (for all KQ): 1. Idiots! Generally in Mara KQ where they pulled all the boss onto the Deck and killed everyone. 2. No tank, or tank not high enough level to keep aggro, hence the rest of the party dies. 3. AFKers, ppl join KQ then disappear! 4. Not enough DPSers, ran out of time. 5. Too many chickens XD People who THINK that the KQ will fail and quits, they didnt even bother trying so the KQ didnt have enough people. It's not uncommon now to fail KQs nowadays :D |
For Slime, I never fail it. For Mara, always fail. For Gold Hill, ppl does "Oh! I got Key! How awesome! *sets up shop and sells key for 10s*"

Not sure if I failed slime, but I probably did once or twice on my mage. Maybe cause the tank died or something, not sure, don't remember.
I've failed Mara a few times, usually cause people are jumping into too early. @_@ Honestly don't think I've had much problem with the Mara KQs I did except for maybe 3 of them. In my first one, someone pulled too early and we all just got pwned... And then someone tried attacking while the rest of us were just starting to recover from it. I'm guessing it was an attempt to save the group. @_@ In another someone pulled too early but I was able to avoid it. However, bunch of people got mad and some suicided and we had no clerics anymore so... *shrugs* Then on one I did with my cleric after I got Revive, was hectic as people started attacking when I was still reving. @_@ There was one other cleric, but only I had revive, which is fine, Mara is still doable. Some people just didn't know to wait. I'm pretty sure I've failed other Maras, but for whatever reason we failed, those fails didn't stick out to me so I guess it wasn't a bit deal. I failed GH a few times, usually because whoever had the key didn't open the door. Sometimes it was apparently because they couldn't see it. Sometimes they didn't know they had it... (I found the key once, but it went to someone else in the party, but they all said they didn't have it @_@) And there was one time where we just ran out of time cause when we got to Marlone, it got a little chaotic... When we finally found the last key, not enough time to make it to the gate. @_@ I don't remember any other situations. I failed Robo about three or four times (I have yet to go into Robo on my mage and cleric so... yeah). One was bad from the start, I don't know, really disorganized... Others were probably going well, but then I guess people with the trains died and somehow it all just went crazy. And Honeying... is Honeying. |
Failed KQs are pretty common.
First and foremost as everyone has mentioned... 99.9% of the failed KQs are due to sheer idiocy. It's unfortunate that there is no cure for it. Another is because there isn't enough people. I've had half the group commit suicide because we had one Cleric in the Robo KQ. Mind you we succeeded with flying colors. On the other hand, I have never failed a KQ while playing Bright Kingdom. You can have 2-3 people and still finish it with no problems. The only exception would be Slime if there is no healer or person with high enough HP and Honeying cause the time limit is shorter with too many mobs. |
Oooh I've failed KQs countless times. Pretty much fail due to the players not being sure what to do, or just being an ass in general.
Can't really think of any other reasons why I would fail a KQ other than that. I guess if there's no tank or something too.... but I did complete a Mara KQ without tanks (dpsers took turns running away from boss, then dying, get ressed, rinse and repeat). Not sure if I completed a KQ without a cleric yet.. so I guess having no clerics is a problem... Other than that, it's mainly due to lack of competent players in the KQ. XD |
With competent players... anything is possible!

I've BEEN in Kingdom Quests that have failed, but I haven't ever FAILED one MYSELF ;)

I've been in a lot of KQs that failed, mostly because of sheer stupidity.
When people think that there's not enough clerics/fighters/etc. they'll shout "Everyone suicide and meet up in the next one!" And half the people listen of course and we're left with only a few people in that instance of the KQ. They could at least TRY to wait out and see if it will be successful. O= |

I was the tank in the slime KQ and died when I couldn't hit my stones an pots fast enough. The clerics were busy being DD's on the little stuff.

I have started a lvl 13 archer, and once while I was in the Slime KQ I helped a tank kill something. He said, "Oh yeah, nice KSing." Then he proceeded to train me until I was out of the KQ.
When in KQ, it is not KSing. -_- |

Manzcar is a fighter. Oh and I have said this before about stupid people in KQs, but even in the MD KQ, I was yelled at by my party for not healing and rezzing them. I Iz a Mage. A Mage - Mages do not heal, mages do not rez. I can see sometimes confusing archers and clerics if you are ONLY looking at the color of their circle in your party, because depending on your color settings, they can be close. But, mages circles are Purple!!!!!

@Spirit - I wonder if it has anything to do with mage's outfit is in similar colour to clerics, well for lvl 50-60 at least, both are like grayish colour... but then Spirit always wears a costume so maybe not... those ppl are just blind @_@ cant believe ppl are still doing that in MD@!! |
@ Pebbles I just met someone like that ... And he was in my party too >__>; He told people not to KS our mobs ... and everyone told him we're supposed to help each other in KQ xD Well, guess everyone has to start somewhere o: Some just later than others, I guess. |
i don't normally fail KQs with my cleric, but when it comes down to using my mage, fighter, or archer in mara kq, i seriously fail. the only times i fail kqs is when i'm in robo and i'm the only cleric in the party, or i'm in the middle of rezzing someone and the runner leads the mob staight through me, resulting in death before i can rez, thus we usually fail due to the lack of clerics or fighters.
And well, for the honeying kq,..........who has ever even beat that? really i would like to know... O.o |
Okay, yes I'm a fighter.
But anyway last night was the worst Mara KQ ever. The archer kept pulling the fake Marlones over. Then he gets the real one to come over and we kill him. I shout that was the real one get Mara, but nooo he keeps pulling over the fake Marlones. (its almost like they wanted to fail) People started to quit (all the clerics did), but I kept trying and shouting utill I lost all my hearts and a bunch of pots all my stones and several scrolls. I will never quit no matter how bad it gets. It was the worst ever. But on the bright side I axed the real Marlone so all I need is Mara. |

Reasons for failure that i've seen so far:
Slime KQ: Too many lower levels, too many clerics that attack and don't heal, people that don't know wtf they're doing. Mara KQ: People pulling fakes, people trying to run past all the mobs instead of fighting them because they think they'll get a better prize, "ZOMGZ DUN STUN MARA SHE RESET AGGRO!1!!1!1!!!" so Mara ends up beating down on them when they could've just stunned her and been fine, and fighters that can't keep aggro on mobs/bosses and everyone else ends up getting owned because of it. Gold Hill: "LOL I GOTZ KEY *Shops it for silver*" or "LOL I GOTZ KEY EVER1 GIVE ME 2s N I'LL OPEN GAET.", not enough people mining so we don't find the key in time, or people opening the boss gate before anyone has time to rest so the boss tromps around and owns us all. Robo KQ: People that don't know what to do, bad runners, no clerics (this is a KQ where you seriously need them imo, the others I think are passable without them.), too many no-healing clerics, fighters not keeping aggro when they need to, too many lower-level people. |
