I'ma copy and paste part of an email my mom's co-worker sent her. (Theyr'e both nurses here in Nor. Cal) anyways, she took some diet pill called Lipozene and this is what happened to her - so stay away from lipozene, if you are one of those who takes diet pills.

After awhile, I began vomiting blood heavily, to the point (as far as I can understand what happened to me) that a portion of my stomach was forced clear through my diaphgram, creating a huge hiatal hernia. My stomach also became turned in the wrong position and the part at the bottom that was suppose to be there for emptying was now located at the top. My stomach had to be repositioned completely. My hiatal hernia had to be repaired. Part of my stomach was paper thin from all the aggravation and may never be the same. My gallbladder also had to be removed. My esophagus had to be repaired and they had to do an anti-reflux procedure to reduce further damage in the future.

Not that you would ever even consider using diet pills, but whatever you do, avoid Lipozene at all costs. The State of Nevada won a $43 million judgment against this company and prohibited them from selling Lipozene in Nevada, however, when I purchased my product from a television advertisement, it was shipped to me from Reno, Nevada, so business continues for them, as usual. If you hear of any friends who might be tempted to use this product, please urge them to reconsider. I came very close to dying because of it and I'm going to do everything in my power to stop this company from endangering anybody else's life, as well.

lmao, exactly. You'd be surprised how much weight you could lose by changing your diet, drinking more fluids and doing even just 30 minutes of exercise a day. @_@ Though multivitamins are still good for you if you can't get them from something else :3

Yeah D: My mom bought some other diet pill, uh, I forgot the name, its the commercial where the cartoon lady talked about her and her husband dieting and they both ended up unhappy.

But yeah, I looked up the reviews on it. They sounded horrible, in some extreme cases it caused death o.o most women who took it ended up balding.

I showed her the reviews and she threw the pills away.

Actually, as unhealthy as it is, smoking can help you lose weight. But theres ways around it.

lmao yeah, that one pill that the FDA approved..what was it called..ALLI? or something - it makes you have the runs, LOL. Ewww. But yeah, so much more beneficial to lose weight the normal way. @_@ I lost like 30 pounds just by changing my diet >> Over the course of time, yes, but still, s'alot!

Yeah.. they used to make it sound like he got thin just by eating the sandwiches, and I feel sorry for anyone who seriously thought that. Now they mention with exercise.

"The best way to lose weight is eat health, drink water, exercise, AND TAKES THESE PILLS/PROGRAMME".....

eh..can't they go run? Running is pwnage to your weight, my friend's dad, who ran with the crosscountry team in the summer..lost 50 pounds in 6 weeks, just running

100 sit ups 40 push ups and a 2400 m run daily for gym...
on top of that i sakteboard, im pretty fit xD

i fail at exercising daily.... i get bored after 2 mins @_@

i can only do well when i'm with other ppl (peer pressure?)... if i'm by myself at home.. i lose concentration... esp when fiesta is there as a distraction XD

Well for some people, they don't live near a gym or can't go running and stuff. Like me D: I went to go walk a mile on ym road and my neighbor's dogs freaking tried to attack me. >=[ So I stick to indoor exercises like push ups and sit ups. I wish I had a treadmill (I keep wanting to call it an escalator >_<) but yeah or like hessah said, some people just get bored with it, others don't have time, etc. @_@ Hence why people resort to pills but, you can still lose a lot by changing your diet stuff.

I think Yoga is really good too... for ppl who doesnt like the fast pace, running, jumping stuff... and its cheap.. just need a DVD and a yoga mat =D (mum was just telling me that treadmills and stuff cost thousands! :eek:)

everyone i see that does yoga is super healthy slim...

The paper thin part made me quiver. @_@ LOL I want an escalator. Pilates is also really good too but alas, my room is too small to do it in and the living room is always occupied. No way in hell I'm going to do like..GRASSHOPPER SALUTES PLUTO WITH ASS while in the presence of others. D:

Isn't it like yoga/ballet type of stop? You know Vanessa (the asian girl) from SYTYCD? She does pilates.

Its kind of like Yoga. It was originally used to help rehabilitate people who were in serious accidents or something, but its really good fore exercise, and it makes your back feel nice and you drink more water. xD

So many people resort to pills it's scary... makes you wonder if people actually listen to the end of the ad where they list 192882973749263 side effects.

Other weight loss solutions:
*20 minutes of running and 40 minutes of walking burns the same amount of calories.
*Taking a hot bath 30 minutes prior to eating will help you from eating too much at meal time.
*Massaging your calves will help with blood and lymph flow... gets rid of all the bad stuff. Helps to fight cellulite too.

Etc., etc... I also heard Bikram Yoga is especially nice. You get to do crazy yoga poses in a 40 degree room. :D

40 degrees... Celcius. :P I can't imagine doing Yoga poses in a cold room... you might break something. Lol

Gets you to sweat. Oh yeah, another little bit of information:

When you dye your hair or put on makeup it is absorbed into the skin. Over the course of the year, without you knowing, the amount of chemicals you have absorbed would equal to 2 lbs (give or take).

Diet Aids don't work. The only reason that companies produce this forsaken stuff is that the public can't wait to spend their money on the next thing that will allow them to do nothing but look great.

All Diet Aids have the "with proper diet and exercise" tag on them.

Well I decided a year ago that I was going to get healthier (actually my wife decided and I decided I shouldn't go against my wife :D) I did research and have found the full proof way of loosing weight. I have actually lost 75 pounds in the past year using this method. Its amazing and full proof.

I didn't take any magic potion or use some buffing scroll. I used common sense. The only way to loose weight is to burn more calories than you consume. And if you want to keep it off you consume over 1800 calories per day so your body doesnt' think it is starving.

This means you need to eat right. Don't eat high calorie foods. Eat six to eight meals a day (smaller amounts).

Exercise 30 minutes a three times a week doing aerobic activity to increase your heart rate. Do strength/toning work three times a week (this is your push ups sit ups hand weight stuff) You don't need to do high weight to get results.

I was 300 lbs at 6'4'' I didn't look bad just really big. I am down to 225 and feel better, look better, and act better.

Ohhh I still eat chocolate, hot wings, ice cream, BBQ and a lot of other stuff. I just eat less of this stuff and more veggies, salads, whole grains, and lean meats.

You can change your life style and lose weight but the most important thing you need is the determination to actually stick with it and do it.

Anyone can do jumping jacks, jump rope, hops, and running in place for 30 minutes a day. You could do this even while on Fiesta. Open a shop and watch your shop as you do 30minutes of cardio.

I have Hypoglycemia, for those that do not know, Hypoglycemia, also called low blood sugar, occurs when your blood glucose (blood sugar) level drops too low to provide enough energy for your body's activities. It causes hunger, nervousness and shakiness, perspiration, dizziness or light-headedness (and yes I have passed out more times than I can count because of this), sleepiness, confusion, difficulty speaking, feeling anxious or weak.
I am usually able to treat mine through my diet. I eat about 6 times a day, but they are all small meals. I eat just enough to curb my hunger, then in another 3 hours, I will eat again, but just enough to curb the hunger, I do this all day long. Sometimes, I am even eating at midnight before I go to sleep. I do not watch what I eat and I eat whatever I feel like. If I want junk food, I eat it. If I want pizza and hot wings, I eat it. I do not count calories or eat only healthy foods. People often ask me how I can eat all day long and eat anything I want and stay as skinny as I am. I think that some of it has to do with my genes, because on one side of my family, everyone is really tall and skinny. However, I also think that it has to do with the fact that I eat the way I do. By eating just enough to curb my hunger and eating more than 3 times a day, I am not starving my body and I am able to keep my energy level up all day long, instead of it fluctuating with just 3 meals a day.
Haha, I am too lazy and not committed enough to excercise like I should. I tried the pilates, and after watching the video and trying to concentrate on just my breathing for 30 minutes, I thought, "yeah, this is not for me." So, I think it really has to do with the eating smaller meals multiple times a day.

It is better to eat 6 small meals than 3 large meals. My mom has this old diet book that she's been using for the past 20 years(and it still works). It requires you to eat 6 small meals. Its so your body will not form such a large appetite, and it teaches you to not eat til you're full.

I personally do not like it, the food you eat is so bland, or foods that are on my DO NOT LIKE list. But I have gone on it, and even without exercise, I lost weight.

Yeah, what I have been doing is to make breakfast my biggest meal, and the others very small or divided, and I keep my calories around 1200-1400, replaced sugar with aspartame, (Since I drink a lot of tea) coke with coke zero, always keep a water bottle handy and develop muscle, because muscle likes to eat at fat and just having it gets your metabolism rate up. :3

Also I would say its very important to research your food. Its shocking how you think hat some things you eat aren't much but turn ou to be a loooot. @_@ AKA, club house crackers. fking things. >=o
