Guild Invites
 

Why do guilds just go around and spam guild requests. I only play a few hours a week due to kids, wife, job, and real life, but when I do play I have to fend of join my guild requests. I get three or four everytime I am on.

I just don't understand why a guild would want to just invite anyone and everyone to their guild. They don't know me, have never grinded with me, and have never even spoken to me before their join my guild request.

Why just spam people to join your guild?

They simply want a full guild and they do not care who joins. It is why a lot of the guilds fall apart after a short while.

Okay, granted I haven't been a part of a MUD (what us old guys used to call this stuff) since the early 90's.

But back then you didn't want a lot of people in your guild. You wanted a group of people you got along with and knew you could have fun with. Then it would be run by an even smaller group who ran the day to day stuff.

Why would anyone want a large guild that couldn't get along and it failed?

I would like to know too. I get random invites (not just guilds) and they haven't even spoken to me once... not even a "Hi, want to join?"

Last night while I was in Robo KQ one girl kept sending me invites WHILE I was tanking. Worse yet she was so busy sending these invites that she left rest of the party half dead. D<

I've actually had people ask me to leave G____G for thier guild.
Ummm.... why would I want to do that when I don't even know you and I am VERY happy in my guild?

^Well its not like they know if you like your guild. Most guilds aren't that enjoyable.

What happened to the 500s price for guilds that was in CB? Now there are 600+ guilds because of idiots wanting "2 b teh hi lvl gild".

But, my whole point is that they dont even know me. What if I turned out to be a mean player that had a bad reputation in the game? Why would they want that associated with their guild?

MUD? As in..StickMud? :D

LOL I am assuming it is a joke... but just in case a MUD was the name for Multi User Dungeons I.e. What Fiesta, WoW, and such were called back in the 80's and early 90's.

Why am I all of a sudden feeling very old.........

Can't you turn guild invites off? Under game settings? Might help solve the problem :D

To many, it's all about the numbers.

Some guilds attack weaker guilds simply because of the lack of members in the latter guild. It's really funny to watch the former get absolutely destroyed.

I believe that's how bots end up in guilds..... it at least he use to happen...

Hrm. Maybe if you just joined a guild and didn't talk in guild chat and didn't participate and they didn't kick you out and you didn't get warred....

Then you wouldn't get any more guild invites!

I turn off guild invites, party invites, whispers, and normal talk always, unless I go party with smeone

Never thought of that. Join a guild to keep guild invites away.

The total illogical nature of that makes sense. Sort of. I think. Well Maybe.

What?! you can seriously do that?...hmm that would have helped.

But people just randomly invite my alts too....Just becasue i look like a good player doest mean I should join your guild. They just run by me and they see I have no guild and they'll invite me.

Lol, people asked me to leave G____G too. I was like WTH! why would I do that. How ironic now....

People don't care. They just want as many people in their guild so their name gets flashed around so they grow their e-peen. =P Which is also another reason a lot of people persist in trying to get into some guilds with many members - they don't care about the members, don't wanna interact with them, just want the name to be "popular".

I spam guild requests... but only to people I've played with before that I see aren't in guilds XD

Hasn't happened to me yet, I'm hoping it really doesn't. After all, I'm mean to spammers, and bombard them with intellect 'til they give me the "STFU nub!!1!1one!!" Is it sad that that's one of the ways I get my laughs? :confused:

My little archer girl is a level 23 that stays in Roumen. All she does is hold stuff in her pockets and make potions. She was asked to join a guild today. I accepted thinking it was a noob asking to be on her friends list to help them get a title. Haha, I am gonna see how long they leave her in.

I really wouldn't call that spam requests seeing you have actually know them or at least have played with them.

lol - she has been set up in shops for the past few days and she is still in the guild. The ONLY guild chat so far is someone saying.... <silly message here>. Then a "oh crap - wrong chat."

That has been ALL. Two whole sentences, lol.
