A few BK questions
 

I've been playing a bit of BK lately and I have a few questions.

I do not see any Japanese characters, I just see other weird squiggles that mean nothing. I have Japanese added and enabled to my windows and can see websites just fine. Any ideas how to fix this?

Also when I try to make something with my production skills I get the 'failed to create item' animation. I have room in my invo so I have no idea what causes this.

I hope someone can help me with these questions. Thanks in advance!

(and when the language thing is fixed I have another question, but I'm gonna post that with a screenie =P)

the reason is the font u are using, it doesnt contain the japanese characters.

And how can I fix this?

-change your Universal Unicode (or something) to display as Japanese
for me I go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Administrative tab -> Change System Locale -> Japan

-it requires an extra item that it doesn't say it requires
probably patched to get in the game. Some production skills have different
requirements than they do on Fiesta, like needing Sign of Trace in Potion Making though it may not display on the screen.

Post a screenshot and tell me what you were trying to make? Lol Even knowing Japanese I can't help you if you with that. xD

@Ivra: It does say so on the screen. All the mats are there...

Unless you were trying to do decomp/comp... then you need to go get yourself an Alchemy Stone. o__o But looking at your levels I'm sure you know that... so could be the potions.

Using the English "patch"?

Change your encoding (or something) in Reigonal Settings to Japanese.

Used to have the production skills problem too, had the mats it said I needed, and enough room, but black smoke just appeared when I tried to make anything.


Figured out that it didn't say I needed some extra stuff as well, prolly due to patching.

First of all, what the crap is this?

Second of all, are the high level places not as empty as Roumen and Eldy (which have an average of 10 people)? Or am I just on at the wrong time?

I also have trouble getting the rewards from quests. >_<

Edit: Another thing, can anyone explain the "house zones" to me? ._. I don't understand what they're for or how to use them.

Uruga is dead. The whole time I played, I saw 2 people there.

House zone is Loveless's forté ;)

And lvra... that English "Patch" does more harm than good. Get rid of it.

That's supposed to be you being punished for doing something wrong... so you're forced to sit on your knees with arms raised.

Elderine will always be the most crowded place. So you pretty much have a whole map to yourself while out grinding.

House zones are where you can go into your Mushroom house. There is a quest that gives you furniture which can be started at Robin when you're level 10. It requires you to go back and forth from Roumen to Uruga though. At the end of the ordeal you'll receive a skill which will allow you to go inside while within those zones.

@Vivi: You may have to install an East Asian Language Pack if you've tried doing what lvra said.

Yeah, you can buy the skill... but why buy it when you can get it free from a quest? It'll always have available so just finish it when you can go to Uruga.

i don't want another US IP Mass ban

Probably random people we used to give it to decided to pass it on to friends?

I heard all Chinese IPs were banned from Fiesta...

and now some people from GoR that used to be über grinders have to use Proxies.

Probably cause a lot of those IPs had to do with botters/goldsellers? Or that they have their own version?

EDIT: I think the most they'll do if it becomes a huge problem is just a IP ban on foreign gamers. They're also doing maintenance on sign up so it's probably getting harder to just get an ID.

Never heard of the Chinese Fiesta ._.

The US was never IP banned.

Oh well. Did you notice how for a few days there were nearly no gold spammers? They can deny it all they want, but almost 100% of the gold sellers are in China.

US IP bann, they ban whoever that have US IP , not IP ban, they account banned

I don't get it... why do you automatically assume that us joining will get all the US players banned? First of all, Vivi isn't even in America... and she got the patch firsthand anyway. :\

I think they're just concerned that they'll notice all the US. IPs cropping up.

There was a purge before and everyone's account was banned.

well if anyone would ever ask me, i could create a much better working "patch". i also warned using that patching technic, its bound to produce errors.

Because it's usually a common thing for people accidentally (or not) speaking English outloud in normal chat. That puts up a flag that there's foreign players.

We're not saying you guys will get the others banned... it's just that eventually it'll get handed to someone who may. Y'know the whole friend of a friend of a friend thing... Some of us have gotten to certain levels and collected money/items we would not like to lose. That's why we're cautious.

I only did the IP spoof thing like 4 times (just major play days), so that leaves plenty of time for bannage. I don't think players are as hellbent on others being banned as you guys are making it seem... Some KQs, I even get asked if Japanese or English is my preference, and some people will say things like, "great! i need to practice my english! ^^;"

But I don't think much concern is needed twords Vivi playing...

I hope I wasn't one of those people... Minus the first Slime and PvP KQs, but that was with Iluril and fullback... But now I just do it on accident. Speaking of that, I just talked in ".w" once again today... I better not love the 20 Valentine Sword I just got...

but... i just want to say... no... i didnt notice that.. in fact.. i noticed that all the gold spammers were still there even after china IP ban... i remember this very clearly coz i was looking for MR so i can laugh at his face "you want china IP ban to stop bots? well IP is now ban and we've still got all the bots"

Ok, a few days is an exaggeration, but there right after that maintenance there weren't more than 2-5 bots for few hours. They didn't ban China just because they have their own version. Neither Japan nor Korea are banned, and I've even asked a spammed what country they live in. @.@ There's also a reason why they have really bad grammar (no offense intended! But seriously, I haven't yet seen one with even remotely good grammar).

I haven't checked to see if I have been banned recently.
