Party Drop Liers

I HATE when greens drop in partys and we have all decided on Drop to class....Like today a lvl 70 wand dropped I was like Wohoo may i have it?

Pt member 1:I didnt get
Pt member 2: i didnt get
Pt member 3:I was afk
Pt member 4: No greens dropped

...Seriously? Idiots.

Then Mr.Im Greedy decides hey guys a gotta go (hes a cleric btw) Oo the wand had 34 End 29 Spr *logs*

this has to be one of the most annoying things in Partys......

Uklyvian 04-05-2008 04:44 PM

The worst part is when it is a party of all people you know and firmly believe you can trust. A Viking Axe dropped last night in Dungeon of the Abyss last night and no one would give it up. I was the only fighter and pulling mobs of 30-40 so I couldnt really watch greens. Every member of the party had given me fighter green drops except one, we all knew who it was but he wouldn't own up to it.

Canboy 04-05-2008 04:49 PM

See its people like that who dont deserve partys

Spirit 04-05-2008 04:56 PM

This is where I love my guildies!!!!! When we are all partied, if a weapon drops - we first offer it to whichever class it goes with, if they do not want it, it is sold and the members either split the money or the money goes into our guild fund. This is also why I do not like partying outside of my guild. Although on occasion, I have and when I do, it depends on the nature of tthe poeple I am partied with. A few weeks ago, I was in Concealed Peak on my fighter with no hopes of finishing of the GGK quests when some randoms offered to party me. When it was time to do the GGK, I got the weapon - it was a sword. The other fighter in the party asked if he could have it. Ummm.... my 1h sword is a +7, my 2h sword is a +6, why do I want another one? Also, chances are if they had not partied me, I would have never finished off all of my GGK quests. So, I willingly handed over the sword.
I think it depends on what the person is like in real life that determines how they play in the game.

Yeah I hate that, it always happens. When I was lv 45 someone wouldnt give me a crossbow...then he logged. So I left the I saw him in elderine a few minutes later selling a lv 50 xbow with 22 END 20 Str....Seriously! Wtf.

But the party we had in the Abyss yesterday was really nice we all shared and I even gave ViVi a new Wand ^^

iDerrick 04-05-2008 07:59 PM

This is why I always solo.

04-05-2008 08:28 PM

like me that wont happen because i only pt wth
busou and like they give me the cleric stuff for my
cleric unless it harlar cuz i let him but like yea that
happend to a fighter yesterday wen i was pting with
Shin_ lol this 29 cleric in r pt got it and like the fighter
asked if e could have it so it could be his 50 axe and the
cleric was like no im keeping it or money so wut we did
was quiet the pt and he got all sad cuz he needed 2%
to lvl so h gave the fighter the axe then the fighter trained
him lol

Hyper 04-05-2008 10:56 PM

I'm used to it.

Hessah 04-05-2008 11:17 PM

yeah... we had that once.... back when i needed a ZK Kill....

i partied with someone i met a few times in KQ.. and 2 of his guildies... + another random cleric....

a green dropped.... everyone asked "who's got it who's got it..." everyone said "nope dont hv it"

the 3 guys in the guild wouldn't hv lied, coz they were saying that they just want to see the stat, whoever's got it can keep it... (and got really pissy when everyone said they dont hv it)

i didnt have it.. i know it for a fact...

it has to be the random cleric that had it...

but we just stood around for 10 mins... without doing anything.... eventually the tanks got very annoyed and wrapped to town..

well at least i got my ZK kill~

Never ever happened to me, because I'm picky and choosy about who I party with, its always been either a guildie or a friend, if not duoing with Lil. But when I do party with strangers, just make sure its set to sequential and if something drops, whoever gets it gets it, if they don't want it drop it again and let some other random in the party have it. *0*

Ralath 04-05-2008 11:32 PM

Haha! I do that all the time. My inventory will get full so I'll drop like... two Elrue[1] and pick it up again. And then like 2 minutes later, it gets dropped again. And again. And again.

Because apparently no one has room for Elrue[1] when you're AOEing in the BGs. XD

Lucifer 04-06-2008 02:33 AM

Yea...My computer lags alot so I when I do see a green drop...I never get it DX

Ralath 04-06-2008 07:06 AM

If your party allocation is set to sequential, it shouldn't matter whether you computer lags or not.

Enraya 04-06-2008 07:19 AM

Most of the time, I'm in a fair party, so I get any archer greens that drop.

But yeah, I mean, what can you do about them? @-@; Other than scorching their karma or posting it up on the official forums, there really isn't much you can do about it. And that's what I hate most, because these people know that you aren't going to do anything, and they're going to get away with it.

And while you should probably party with people you trust, it doesn't hurt to party with some new people too o: Unless they've got a really bad rep for some things they've done.

O-mie 04-06-2008 07:48 AM

While its nice if you get your class greens, I think its a little unfair. For instance, you might be going well with cash while another is not, or say a GODLY gear dropped that was worth a lot, and whoever kept it sold it, while you woudl just get crappy int+ melee gear lmao @_@

Sero 04-06-2008 08:02 AM

This brings back bad memories... Well I know what to do if this happened to me, if for example any nice archer thing dropped, which is supposed to be mine, and one of my party mates got it and wouldn't give it up... I'd wait for a time the party would disband, and then I'd hunt that person who got the drop, train him over and over again =D

Vasu 04-06-2008 12:39 PM

I had a problem like this once in KM hideout, but it was of a different kind. Well, KM dropped a KM mace, (I saw the text "King Marlone's Roumen Mace"), and I was the only cleric in the party, so I asked who got it and whether I culd have it. Nobody replied for a long time while we kept killing for a long time. After some time, the fighter in my group said "Oh, wait I think I got the mace, here you go I'll give it." So I was hapy and I was fully prepared to forgive him..I though "Everyone's forgetful" and he traded me. Then he put in a mace that said "Raging Wind Roumen Mace" which really sucked and had like really bad stats. So I asked him where the KM mace was. He said "You want a mace or not, stop being so picky" and cancelled the trade and started killing monsters. I got so angry that I just didn't heal him and let him die, as I made my way back. Serves him right. I don't regret letting him die. I would have killed him a couple times too if I could.

Ralath 04-06-2008 06:37 PM

I guess that's the advantage of being a cleric? o.o

wiiguy111 04-06-2008 06:45 PM

just calm down and eat some cheese poofs :D

Hessah 04-06-2008 11:55 PM

LOL vasu - Good on ya!! I mean it was mean enough for him to NOT give the ZK Mace.... but to mock you like "well here's my junk for this great weapon that i cant use... HAVE IT" that's just gay.. he may as well just leave at "i didnt pick up the drop"...

I think it depends on how the party is set up.... and how you view things...

like last weekend, i partied with a few ppl i've never met before (but they're ppl that my guildies have met before.. which probably helps)... and it was agreed at the beginning, that their class gets their own weapon drops... we had 2 clerics... so we both voiced out what we want, and then after that, it's all luck!

but i think it's when ppl "agreed" but not follow on wat's "agreed" that's annoying...

Hyuroi 04-07-2008 03:25 AM

I had that happen to me earlier today. Some cleric pants dropped, and it was on sequential so I got it. Someone other fighter the party asked for them (the cleric had said he didn't need them) so I stupidly dropped them instead of just trading them. Well, whoever got them next wouldn't fess up to it. :/

Other than that, I've really never had the problem, since I prefer to party with people I know or I usually just solo.

mof 04-07-2008 06:22 PM

Hm I wished they have this sort of ingame notepad so you can note down all those jerks ><. Or if they upgrade their current "ignore" system so you can see your list of ignores and add/edit them accordingly.

But yeah, I always push for seq allo in parties - unless they need quest items. If that doesn't work, then I'll expect injustice, seeing how I'm an archer and shoot from a distance...

Spirit 04-07-2008 06:27 PM

ooh, yesterday I was working my fighter in GC working quests when a cleric comes up to me and asks to party. I explained to him that it would have to be left on Free allocaiton because I needed drops. Basically all he was wanting was the exp because he was only a level 32. I did not mind, since he could heal me and he agreed. But, I have a bad habit of spamming my pick-up key. So, the poor guy wasn't getting any drops. So, I tried my best to leave some drops for him to pick up, but found myself running back to pick them up when he wouldn't. So, as quick as I received all my quest drops, I changed it to sequential even though he was using me to level, he was still using his SP to keep me alive. Loki eventually logged in and we kicked wearbear butt and got him to a level 33, he was happy after that and I got all my quests done.
