GM's dont seem to happy lately, noobs are huge problem
so today there was a mini dragon event in elderine and a full item upgrade event in roumen. i was at both but it wasnt to much of a fun feeling
at the mini dragon event [GM]Dakkon was in charge and things went like normal, 15 minutes or so to kill it and we were done. there were so many people spamming about the constant raining of chests to come that [GM]Dakkon got furious and left with no rewards to anybody. ouch, that hurt. my friend and i didnt expect to be doing that event again any time soon because we wasted tons of stones and pots for nothing at all. pure waste of time well we were assuming Mission Impossible would be a bit more fun, until i realized that my bow was only lvl 5 and it had 3 completed liscenses on it. that wasnt fun for me cuz i couldnt decided to risk it or not. i didnt so it was a waste of time for me to be there except i had a long conversation with [GM]iceman so many people were puting up items that were not lvl 6 or above, were iviting the gm's to their party, or were inviting them to friends list that the gm's ended it early, cutting off all of the people w8ing patiently. the spamming retards got canceled off the list of items to be upgraded but [GM]Dakkon again got extremely angry. so give [GM]Dakkon a break and get the noobs away from an event or else the game will be not even half as fun and we may never get events again. we could also lose [GM]Dakkon, a great gm that is willing to do events im not trying to rant, im trying to be realistic. |

Are you posting to as in thinking that Fiestafan's community are the spamming idiots?
no i should probably re phrase that i meant keep the noobs away from the events
Younger kids (Not trying to be stereotypical but it is true due to the fact that younger kids haven't matured yet) really don't understand common courtesy these days. Also, you really can't keep people away from events, they just go. The internet will always have a fair share of idiots that piss you off so try to ignore them. Most people (due to the MS stereotype) see GMs as some godly dude and end up spamming them questions/trying to befriend them for power.
True but they constantly told people to stop and they didn't. I broke my item's so it didn't matter. But the GMs are really pissed (PERIOD). They are tired and stressed i think. Managing a game is a lot of work. The problem is that people don't listen and all want to be picked. Also notice that these events will be impossible by OB. They will probably roll our characters back to 1 so save your items lol.
People just want to be noticed by GMs and will go to extreme measures to be seen (I.E MS Tiger fans -.-). GMs, in my opinion, really shouldn't be treated so godlike. They're players just like us and really shouldn't be annoyed the hell out of.
Sadly they have. I hope the General Community will notice that and be a little more careful on how they act. Cus at the rate we are going there will be no more events. Especially the event on Friday (endless treasure chest drops + 500% exp increase)
I was at the one in Roumen and it was a fricking mad house like 100's (not really but u get my point) just standing around the fountain in Roumen like 5 minutes before the event even started when I got there I was like "Spread out ppl dang" literally i said that cuz if the GM wasnt on his dragon u wouldnt be able to see him amongst all the nubs that dont listen.
i don't think the GM could select people either well
i entirely agree, i think another problem is that they arent being clear enough with the rules and they are not punishing people enough. sure stopping the event is punishment but it affects everybody trying to participate, not just the noobs/spammers
to solve the rules and event info they need to add a link to the forums directly in the game, the beginer guide and the cash shop are directly linked to the internet, just via a built in browser the punishment should be an hours or so in the prison place off the top of my head but it would work, if they are in the prison they cant do the event |
I agree the rules are unclear in some events and are mishandled by a lack of info about them on the forums (on some events). They need to post the days events early in the day and not at like noon or later (least where i am)
The rules should already be clear enough, and a lot of it is just common courtesy/sense. Also, they clearly stated several times that items needed to be +6 or higher and to move AWAY when you're done giving them the items.
Judging by how many idiots are already in CB (and not just in events, either), I doubt there will be many more events like this in OB. |
they are partly clear, but partly unclear at the same time
for mission impossible here is wat the had Quote:
i didn't see iceman after the event started. a little after dakkon moved twice madison showed up then kaalan to help out i guess.
To be honest, i think that those who were spamming the GMs weren't idiots. They were those people who couldn't make +6, got jealous/angry/whatever, and wanted to cancel the event for the rest of the players, on purpose. -_-
Btw the event wasn't canceled, it was "canceled early", meaning the GMs went off before everyone could show their weapons. Those, who could show their weapons to the GM in time have earned their +9s - this is not a rumor, i have my pocketknife +9-ed (lucky-ky!). |
well, i was 3rd to do my trade so best go post this on outspark forums, most people here mature, and the people that normally reply respect the GM's so this is kinda pointless if you see my point >_<. anyways ya the noobs didnt clear out or even take the few seconds to check the post. i only asked if it includes more then 1 +6weapon, and if i included +6armors and shields.

Bitching and whining is a natural beta process guys, don't fret. ;)
I whispered [GM]Dakkon today and he was very nice to me responded very quickly and he even came and buffed me.
Well I guess it's expected to be spammed by people. They are GMs and I suppose they already knew this was coming, but having it happen for the first time (if this is the first time they are GMs) was probably more annoying than they thought. GMs will eventually get used to it (I mean, they have to, in every game there are idiots and that can't be avoided) and people will eventually calm down. The game is still "new" and people are probably all hyped up about a GM (especially people who are just new to the game). I mean, why else do GMs usually hang around in Elderine instead of Roumen? xD
lol my opinion of the Gms are they are better then most. Most games u never know there are gms till u see them appear to ban someone or something. They stay in contact with the community an try to make our wishes heard to the Devs. People who give them grief/ dont listen to rules only make them less inclined to help us in the future. The people in Elderine who crowded the gms an or traded them weapons that werent +6 were just trying to get the event stopped. Lavanis or whatever was responsible for it either way he/she traded Gm Dakkon a +2 weapon after bein warned repeatedly.
i dont think the minidragon was an event, i think it was just dakkon having some fun, kaalan does it all the time... dakkan was in charge of the mission impossible event, so when he left he probably had to go to that...
he probably didnt give prizes cause it wasnt an official event... correct me if i'm wrong. |
The minidragon was spawned on the guildwars....lol i dunno i maybe the only one who thinks this but Kaalan is somewhat of a pain lol....
^ Yah i still remember that 10k it hit me for T_T
lol i like kaalan hes a good guy. dont be hard on him he's the one you really needa thank the most for what he does

The gm team is new so their probably not exactly used to the jerks online. But either way I expect these DAILY events to die down to almost every other week once the game becomes live. They'll either become lazy or get bogged down by other more important matters. The same process happens to many other games. The random selection of players is indiscriminate, they hardly even bother to ask people's ages or look at it. Some good people will be let in and some idiots will too. |
I wonder if GMs needed a pill or something after this... BTW, when's the next event?
Check the announcements
If theres nothing happening today (most likely there WILL be) We have a 500% exp/drop rate increase tommorow. |

I've got nothin againsts Kaalan other then the fact that he puts his toons in our guild to watch us then lvls it leaves guild then wars us...He does it every night gets kinda old after a while.
It's a pity that all MMORPGs have people like these, but it's only to be expected since it's in Beta and as someone else mentioned, the selection process was indiscriminate.
Looking at the announcement for the event, it does state quite clearly that only +6 weapons will be accepted. I wouldn't claim to know why people would even want to try getting anything less in, but I suppose some people have nothing else better to do than to bother GMs. |
GM's are people tooo OMG
If this many "noobs" and "boobs" are in the closed beta, there'll be 10x more during OB. So, maybe the GMs need to build a tolerance to them and find a way to keep things under control. They're people too, yes, but they're also leaders. Totally dropping the event and leaving due to getting irritated really isn't acceptable. Penalizing everyone because of a handful would result in that happening every single time a GM tries to do ANYTHING in public...
Not sure of any kind of solution to this problem, but there are better ways of dealing with it. Either that or whip out the ban mallet and start swinging! XD |

People like this are inevitable. You can't stop them from coming but you can supress them |

I suppose one way to get around this is to suspend people who keep spamming the GMs even though they don't have the right item. Perhaps, this will send them the message that the GMs won't tolerate such nonsense. |
im gonna start using the report abuse button more, ill hav to make sure spammers are not allowed
THe even yesterday was interuppted by some little noob. There was a team battle event, if you didn't know. Two people fought off monsters that [GM]Dakkon spawned. It was for lvl 25-35. Then this little Fighter comes in and starts attacking there mobs too. The GM stopped the event, sent the guy to prision, and then made the two people start over again. Everyone was telling him to stop but he just kept on doing it.
not to mention a cleric buffing and healing a couple of teams to help them survive the toughest monster. i'd call it upmost unfair, but meh - luckily he didnt managed to ruin the event, at least the fun factor of it.
sending ppl to prison worked well imo. they could improve this a little, by stating the rules before the event and then just sending offenders to prison after the first warning or so. no need to interrupt the event for long minutes, just get rid of them. maybe a second GM could take care of sending people to prison for the time of the event - a couple of days, depending on what they did i was quite amazed how hard it was to make even about 50-100 people to stand on the stairs. not sure if i hadnt just burnt them all after 15 mins :D so props to Dakkon, he made a good job so i had my fun for sure |

Everyone, has to remember that you were once a noob as well. So instead of complaining about them, how about you take them under your wing and educate them on how the events work? I am new to the game as well, mind you I do not act obnoxious but still. I ask alot of questions from whoever is close. lol
