I just thought since it's new... everyone will donate like... now~

then the monthly donors will probably drop off a bit...

so it'll be unfair to have $200 in the 1st month... then... not reach a goal for the next 4 months when... effectively that's 4 months worth of goal XD

Entropy has to maintain the site. Before, just the advertisements were helping to cover those expenses. To help cover some of the cost members can donate and get extra features on their accounts such as bigger PMs boxes and the right to change their user title before hitting Premiuim user. Is is basically to help Entropy out, because he spends his time and resources on the site for our sakes. Also, as the forum grows, which it has been, it may require a different server, which requires more resources.

like after i click on paypal.. after i say "Pay Amount" it goes to a paypal page that says page not found D: unless my donation went through?

No, it didn't go through. You put in your paypal account or credit card info? If you made it to paypal before it said page not found it sounds like paypal messed up. If you try again maybe it will work this time.
