It's one of those again...
When you've got a KQ with half of the members as Fighters... Clerics do NOT need to attack!! D< Holy geebus, I was the main tanker in Gold Hill with a Cleric in my party who was too busy mining to heal. First I thought, sure, maybe he doesn't see my HP going down drastically from 3+ mobs hitting me. So I told him to heal cause I can't keep up with just stones and pots.
When we get to Marlone... half way through, or not even, he starts mining again! And in this KQ we only had one other Cleric (who was doing a great job btw). I kind of see why some Fighters say they don't want to use Mock. Even though it IS our job to tank for everyone else... when you've got a Cleric like that who'd want to? .__. Ah, just had to vent. |

Today I was in a KQ where yeah, my cleric was apparently too busy attacking (no offense to clerics, but a mage with inferno is going to do more than a cleric smacking). I was even watching everyone in my party. I was getting attacked, spamming stones and pots, I looked over to my party, no one else was getting hit, but for some reason my cleric wasn't healing me <.< And it took the cleric forever to rez me, people outside our party had to ask the cleric to rez me.

Fine.. if we dont hv enough dpser or fighters, or way too many clerics.. clerics can go hv a bash.... but when there's not enough cleric.. just stand back and spam heal!!! Gold hill was a hard one.. as a cleric.. i admit i didnt do a very good job HAHA esp when i was desperate to find a golden bug and everyone runs off in all directions and out of range... But there's no way should be digging ores when u're taking marlone!! oh and those clerics in Mara KQ... who REALLY wants to hit mara/marlone for watever reason... Fine if we've got enough clerics and u dont want to heal... but PLEASE STAND AT THE RIGHT SPOT! u dunno how many times i hv to yell at CLERICS to stand behind marlone/mara.... if u wanna do something outside ur job then do it properly! (PS. I love these rage forum~ XD) |
I've met a fighter who didnt want to use mock when i was attacking and healing him while using HP stones and potions on myself, because he insisted that clerics should not attack and that i should heal him. (and if i dont attack what am i supposed to do? let the monsters attack me while the "tanker" refuses to mock or use stones to heal?) and i WAS healing as fast as possible. eventually i got frustrated by his nonsense and decided to stop wasting money on him and concentrate on healing just myself.
Although seriously, if u want to attack as a cleric, then u have to be skilled at knowing when to heal, and how to use the F1-F5 keys, tab, and assist. After all, i dont see whats wrong with attacking rather than doing nothing while waiting for heal to cool down, but only if u know how to do so properly. (i've even met a cleric who didnt know how to use F1-F5 keys...) |
Yos - I have been in KQs where they want to yell at me to use my AOE, but I wasnt getting any heals and by using it I was pulling all the mobs. So, I flat out told them "Hell no. You want me to use it give me a cleric that will heal me." If I don't get the heals, I will not use it. Plain and simple.

I don't mind Clerics attacking. It helps even a little bit but not when you've got 10+ Fighters on the boss already. o__o
I've also had a VERY bossy Cleric in Mara once. She was yelling out about if people run ahead they're not going to get Healed. But I'm at the back trying to help the Archers and Mages... Mocking my way through with no Heals. And guess what she did when we got to the fakes! She was one of the three Clerics in the KQ and she was bashing away (she was probably the highest level in there too with more HP to Heal)... and I'm there guzzling down pots to save my butt. Apparently she had to get the kills. I'm going to seriously start farming those meats to make more HP pots. :/ |
I NPCed like 200 HP pots a few days ago. Should have told me earlier. xD

Well, i've tested that all you need is 40 stones and 30 T2 HP pots to go through a Mara KQ as a fighter without a cleric =D and only 8 ppl in KQ to win LOL @Loveless - if there was a cleric that decided to bash over healing me when i get to a point where i NEED to pot myself i'll continuously shout at her until she backs off and heal me... usually ppl respect tank and help me yell at her HAHA (i get pretty aggroed when ppl are stupid in KQ... i dont want to but they make me) about fighters not wanting to mock coz clerics dont heal.... that's a hard one, esp in Robo... i had an extensive friendly discussion with my bf about this one keke (i'm the cleric, he's the fighter)... at under lvl 40 (when he has less defence), if i'm being attacked i cant heal him, in turn he cant mock... which means i get attacked more and everyone else in the party dies... it was like a cycle LOL... and we worked out we cant blame anyone... any fighter over lvl 40 should have the confidence to mock in Robo |
Oh but I'm in Epith so I can't get them anyway... >_<

Well also though, in defense of clerics at higher levels too - because I've been in some KQ where a fighter will take FAR too many aggros when there are too little clerics and then blame it on us when he dies. =T |
98% clerics in KQ are noobs, unbelievably retarded, and tends to go afk.
1% clerics in KQ are decent clerics, will heal, but not crazy at healing and sometimes does retarded things. 1% clerics in KQ are unbelievably crazy good at everything, know when to attack, know & how when to heal, and most importantly, does not do retarded things. |

98% of KQ ARE FAIL! God, I get in so many gold hill KQ the freaking clerics are freaking retarded!! D:!!!they gets the key, and shouts "I got the key" or something like that, then..AFK or sets up shop and sell for like silvers. Or they do the thing loveless said, mine instead of heal. OR they freaking heal slow as hell and when you die, they blame it on you for not tanking correctly. OR they heal themselves but not others and spams they want to tank when there's a full end fighter. When the clerics actually tanks, they don't know how to tank and dies and blames on the other clerics for not healing him/her when he can also heal him/her to increase chance of failing to tank and die |
wow...Gold Hills are way diferent from how I remember them then.
Never actually failed one and only came close a few times when the key was found a bit late. |
i've only every failed a GH coz an afker got the key (stupid seq allocation...)

haha.. that reminded me of one GH I did where the guy who got the key actually started blackmailing the people, saying "everyone give me 1s or I wont open the gate"... seriously.
Needless to say we failed that GH, but not before everyone spoke their mind to the guy. lmao. I sure hope nobody was stupid enough to trade him some money... |

LOL its hard to survive robo under lvl 40.... so u just got to wait till u get some more armour and increase ur defence... Robo mobs seems like LOOOOOVE archers too! so yeah... XD

All I have to say is that my brother is an uber good cleric. He even healed a party in CP1 at lv 29 while we aoed stonies and navars...

I like the Robo KQs when my guildies join along with me. We have a really good fighter in our guild who knows he can count on me for heals, and I know I can count on him for mocks. Whenever he sees my health dropping, he runs towards me and mocks. It's as simple as that. When clerics see a party member's health going down, they select him/her and heal. When a fighter sees the same, he/she mocks. Strange how so many people don't see how easy it is.

@ Vasu Treasure that forever xDD All I met were clerics that refused to heal @-@; I can tank for a while in Robo, but sooner or later aggro gets drawn away from me anyways, so I'm pretty safe and the fighters all seem to use mock/devastate. |
