Asking for Rev next to Town Gate
 

I've seen so many that died right next to the Elderine Gate in CP or MT asking for rev.... or those who died just down the steps from Uruga asking for rev (usually low levels)....

Its like... u died... u lost ur exp and buffs.... why dont you just click MOVE and spawn? instead of spamming REV REV REV..... the gate is.. just there!!

ppl just dont think...

I wish rev did more than just rev. D: B ut yeah, that grinds my gears too, especially whent hey start whispering you, LOL.

I'm not even a cleric and that bugs me lol. I use common sence.

Though you could argue that it avoids unnecessary lag when loading maps. Especially if your computer isn't that great.

my comp is a pce so like i kinda need res but ill go out of my
way to go to town since it lik a 20sec walk down stairs in uru
some ppl just dont thik these days lol they just take the easy

Oh... I was thinking that too! And it happens at the Forest of Mist gate too. :3 It's nice that some people do rev as soon as they see you die... but asking for it, I'm not too sure.

like today i was tanking 2 harkans and this lvl like 20 fighter
died and wouldnt stop asking me then like i couldnt see my hp
cuz hewas under me and i died and like i was lvling him and
i told him like 3 times to wait then like kept saying rev rev lol
not going to work it will just get me killed them my friend came
by and rev me then i kicked him out of pt and left him there lol

LOL yeah FoM too... but i find that happen less often... i think most of them spawns.... maybe coz they hvnt encounted many clerics that could rev yet at that level....

@resol - yeah ppl who demands are annoying!! more than often i ignore them of they spam... ppl who are inconsiderate and rude does not get my time and SP...

I like to be mean as my cleric in Teva, ;P, I start my res, while it's still going, I click on gate, goes into town, and ignore them.

argh! i hate it when ppl do that to me! well at least when u disappeared i know u're not there to rev me at all..

but once i was in GC... and me and my duo partner got mobbed and died... i think i asked if he can rev me... and he started his rev then stopped it half way like 3 times.. 1st two times i thought he clicked something else by accident, by by the 3rd time i know he's just being a ***** ***** *** *****!!!!

wat got me annoyed was he then went and reved my partner properly... he just didnt want to rev me... i dunno why i didnt do anything to him! but he wasted my time by being an idiot....

so i went back and trained him...:D

I only do what I do to annoying spammers that spams "REZ! REZ! REZ!" or "RES PLZ!"
Nonstop in shout and when you ask them what coordinate, they won't tell you, they spam more..ALOT MORE

Agreed, especially since they are incabable of forming a complete and understandable sentece which does not consist of "rev rev rev" and which consists of "Please"... They will eventually return to town in 3 minutes anyway, why not sooner rather than later?

Also, clerics do not owe anyone anything to non-party members, including but not limited to revive. They are free to choose whom to bestow their blessing upon, and doing so requires their SP.

One way to deal with them (if u have lots of time to waste) is to give them a long speech on manners and ettiquete, or just tell them to read up on some guides (there are a few in OS forums i think, and i've ever written one before). Another way when they say something like "can u revive me" is to reply "yes". Then dont revive them. They only asked if u can (i.e. have the ability to) revive, which u do have. so u could say something like "yes, i have the ability to revive u, but no, i do not wish to use this ability"

i just say (if i feel like it) "the gate is just there" and runs off XD

otherwise i just hide in my costume and sit on my raccoon and pretend that i'm not a cleric LOL!

or u could just ignore them and continue whatever u were doing... although having the screen filled up with "rez rez rez" can be a bit annoying, maybe u can block them...

(will someone please figure out how to get the "supreme fighter" title which is somewhat related to pvping? for the sake of all clerics?)

Ohh... what gets on my nerves is the words rev, res, rez, and resu (<- especially that one). You're dead, you're not going anywhere fast so why not type out in a full sentence? Then there area always those who shout for Revives but do not tell you coordinates.

I'm not a Cleric but I always shout back, "Coordinates might help get you undead faster". Then some would be like "Loveless, res res res". :rolleyes: Yes, I'll Revive you with my bow and arrow.

Or, u could try telling them "Yes, u may be revived. First, locate the "Move" button which should be in the centre of ur screen. Next, position ur cursor over the "move". Finally, left click with ur mouse."

(i never tried this before, but i said something similar to someone who came up to me and said "can ii increase my max hp")

(I gave him the instructions on how to purchase and use a vitality increase scroll)

I just lay on the ground and scream "DEAD" and wait for a rez. But, I am usually with Loki, Hessah, or Blaaaahs. :D But, yeah, what is the point of asking for a rez when you are 2 inches away from the portal???
