Money... GULP

The word "money" is always irrelevant to me :(

I'm a lv. 16 Fighter with 8s. I've noticed the skills at lv. 20 are like 4.5s EACH! AHH! Plus, I need an Axe for lv. 20. There drops another 10-12s out of my pocket

What is the best thing to do for money making. My main ones now are:
  • Killing higher level Mobs that drop Greens now-and-then.
  • Profiting off scrolls; buy ingredients low (85c each scroll), sell low (120c each scroll).
Does anyone know of better options? +rep to helper :D

O-mie 03-09-2008 07:26 PM

Well you can get a free axe at 20 when you do your jobchange anyways, soooo >_> Uhmmm..... I guess maybe go herbing in Moonlight might help make money?

Ownage 03-09-2008 07:40 PM

I dunno, maybe

Ulrike 03-09-2008 07:54 PM

your two main money making methods are my main ones as well :/

O-mie 03-09-2008 07:56 PM

you're welcome. When you do your jobchange you can choose between which weapon you want for level 20. =3

Ownage 03-09-2008 08:00 PM

Thanks everyone =D

that's wat i did too, but instead of buy ingredients, i farmed them myself.. especially SBL.. ppl are selling them at rediculously high price, if u're willing to farm it urself (slow slime at ~lvl 8, ratmans at ~lvl 15) ur profit margin will increase by A LOT...

i also found that i ended up with lotsa dust at lower levels.. may as well make them into stones too and sell it...

and dont enhance ur weapons, so sell all the bless/lucky elrues/lix you get from KQ.... they all sell for at least 1s each for a Tier 1 (enhancing without cash shop stones = you'll get very poor!!)

Ownage 03-09-2008 11:13 PM

Thanks Hessah!

The problem with that is that I don't have Stone Prod as one of my choices =S

Loveless 03-09-2008 11:16 PM

Just make an alt to do stone production. That's what I'm doing. :3

So... around your level I'd be farming Lizardmen for those SBL. I usually spend several levels on those mobs... and if you find Sea of Greed laggy or crowded, you can always go to the top of the hill in Forest of Tides. After Lizardmen you've only got Ice Vivi to get the SBL.

Hessah 03-09-2008 11:30 PM

yup! like loveless said... make another character with ur other alchemy skills... i think most ppl have 3 characters with all 5 skills... since storage is common for all ur characters... it shouldnt be too hard to transfer materials...

Ownage 03-09-2008 11:33 PM

Thanks a bunch to all of you. But how do I transfer items between accounts?!

Hessah 03-09-2008 11:44 PM

Have u used the storage yet? There's a Storage Merchant where you have another 2 pages worth of space, and that storage is common for all 4 of ur characters... so if u put 50 dust in storage with ur mage, when u log into ur fighter u'll see the 50 dust there, where u can take out and use for production or w/e....

aLvhin 03-10-2008 04:11 AM

is that possible to have 3 production skill? or if its not, if i want to change my 1 production skill to another one??

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:15 AM

Each character can only have two production skills at max, and I'm pretty sure you cant change the production skill from one to another...

However, since with each account you can creat 4 characters per server, to get around the problem, everyone who wants more than one production skill creates a new character, and the new character can have a different two sets of production skills, so you can make everything urself.

Eg. Ur 1st character has potion and scroll production
Ur 2nd character have stone production
Ur 3rd character can have decomp and comp production.

All the materials that you've obtained from one character, can be transfered to another character through storage.

Two only. And no, it's not changeable at this time.

I suggest creating characters specifically tasked to perform certain alchemy skills. For example...

My cleric produces potions and scrolls.
My archer composes and decomposes materials.
My fighter produces stones.

Since you can allocate items between characters via storage, it's to your advantage to make use of this ability. This way, you can produce all your necessary supplies without ever purchasing them from another.

Edit: She somehow beat me. Oh well.

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:19 AM

LOL! its hily recommended that u put comp and decomp in the same character... i didnt do that, and has a lot of trouble working on my skills LOL!

aLvhin 03-10-2008 04:27 AM

even if your another character is only lvl 1??

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:28 AM

yup! u can have production skills at any level, you just need to have the money to buy the skill (which money is also transferable between characters through storage)

Level is irrelevant in alchemy; a level 1 produces scrolls just as well as a level 60 does.

Edit: Meh Hessah, you beat me again.

You must first hit 1,000 points in Potion production in order to advance to T2.

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:36 AM

Step 2 of Potion production will reveal once you reach 1000 skill points...

This page is very handle when working with alchemy skills (details of wat materials you need, how many skill points u need etc)

Wiki Production Skill Page

EDIT: TRIIIII U were out to get back at me werent u?

aLvhin 03-10-2008 04:38 AM

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:40 AM

It depends on the item you wish to make.

T4 and T5 recipes are not released yet, however. Ah, if it were...I and a few others would have a monopoly on the scroll market...

aLvhin 03-10-2008 04:46 AM

yeah. i have 5 skill already for hobby horse, HP/SP tier1, shield/attack skill i dunno if its correct.

Additional recipes can be used once you increase the number of points you have in each alchemy field.

Hessah 03-10-2008 04:51 AM

Ohh... your hobby horse skill, dont count as alchemy skills.. there are only 5 types of alchemy skills

1. Potion Production
2. Stones Production (make enhancing stones)
3. Scroll Production (make buff scrolls like defence and aim)
4. Decomposition Production (Turn a higher Tier material to a lower Tier)
5. Composition Production (Combine lower Tier materials to higher Tier)

and within each Skill above, you can make a whole heap of different types of product... so Potion Production is ONE skill, where u can make HP/SP pots, cure, bless etc..

and Scroll Production is ANOTHER ONE skill, where u can make Power scrolls, defence scrolls etc...

so that's TWO skills there... not 5... =D

aLvhin 03-10-2008 04:55 AM

in alchemy field the first page 6-8 skill that you put or required, in the second page 10 maybe. so more or less 18 skills is required for the two pages. what if you have tier1,2,3 or 4,5 HP/SP skills, shield, attack, vitality, horse. 26 total skill.

Ralath 03-10-2008 05:05 AM

.__________.

huh?

BTW, does anyone know if there is supposed to be another production skill that we haven't gotten yet? It's kind of odd bc there is that empty box at the bottom.

Hessah 03-10-2008 05:07 AM

Hmmm i think we call them recipes not skills...

So where 4 is pointing.. u can fit two Skills... (any two from the list below)
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x.../podguide3.jpg

but within each Skill, you can make many different products
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x.../podguide5.jpg
These are Alchemy Recipes

Screenshot taken from Pritcher's Alchemy Skill Guide Thread Here.

aLvhin 03-10-2008 05:11 AM

nope not that one. if you press K where skill, passive skill, and alchemy.

Hessah 03-10-2008 05:14 AM

This one?
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...prodguide7.jpg

or this one?
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x.../podguide8.jpg

I'm not too sure what you're asking anymore.. what to ask again?

Ralath 03-10-2008 05:14 AM

I'm confused too. @.@

Tier refers to an Item Level (or in this case, a Recipe Level).

I think what you are talking about are Skill Levels (which is the level of a skill)

Like my Aimed Shot is at Skill Level Level 4...

I also have a tab, that is my Alchemy Tab, where I have all my skills.

aLvhin 03-10-2008 05:20 AM

yup in the first picture, you have there your 2 production skills right.. how about the lower part where you buy your tier1,2,3 hp/sp. how many are required

Hyper 03-10-2008 05:25 AM

There are actually 6 Production skills, but one isn't in the game yet.
