endless build question thread
 

Hi hi :)

I'm actually taking a rest of my cleric and i'm working on a new character such as a fighter !
After reading some of the thread in this section i noticed that almost anybody recommand the following build 1STR:2END.... which is the one i'm going to....

I plan to use a 2h-sword (coz they look so great ^^),to reach lvl 30 as first goal and i most of the time soloing...

So my question are :
-is the 1STR:2END build is a good one for 2h-sword
-what skills i should empower coz i'm saving my points atm...

And don't need to have all explanation again on the argue on 1h sword+shield is better or not than 2h/axe (i read all the thread about that)...i just wanna use 2h for fun not for being the most powerful fighter XD

in my opinion, for 2h sword build, which I learned yesterday :P, be a 2, 3 or 4 Str : 1 Agi build
so you can do large dmg and dodge and hit

I dunno if Dex is all that great for fighters... i dont think the dex from free stat is enough to dodge anything...

Apart from that.. i'm not sure what kinda built is good, i feel like my free stat isnt doing anything =/ XD

BUT i can help a lil bit on skills... I suggest u increase the dmg of power hit! Well, i use an axe... but i believe power hit is by far the best dmg skill for a 2H weapon...

then for the rest of the points, u MAY want put some points in SP consumption of power hit (esp when u find urself spamming it...) and all of the rest of the points, i'd save it up for devestate at lvl 43....

I have made a Full End Tanker Fighter , and yea 1h sword user. So what skill should i empower? I empowered mock cool down 5 times... should i empower mock in the first place? I am thinking of empowering damage on some of my attacking skills (Bone Slicer, Fatal Slash and Slice n Dice) should i not? :confused:

My opinion 1/2 str/end with 2h sword is both a sucky build and the worst weapon choice for fighter.

REASON : your 2h sword will deal lousy damage while your str won't help with dealing the damage which result in VERY WEAK DAMAGE for a 2h user. U won't have neither the damage of a str neither the defence of an end.

CONCLUSSION : U will be a jack of all trades that excels in nothing.

either go with 1h/shield for tanking or axe for DD.

Then since it's not a good build i'm going on how should i come back to a better build for 2h-sword using ?
Please notice that i already reached lvl 17 with this character and build...and i won't come back to lvl 0....(got a hair cut for free from event quest...)

Should i put all my next stats points in STR or END ?

first off, kudos on the cute pun in your title

second, if you really want to stick to 2H swords for their aesthetic sexiness (like I did), then I recommend either the full STR, 25 SPR build or the full STR build (in that order).

The best build for damage dealer if u gonna use 2h weapons is either full str or 25spr/rest str. I myself am an Axe user with a 25spr rest str build and the build is great.

The only thing 2h Swords have on Axes is the looks and that is dibatable since i like the looks of the axe better.

U will hit for a lot more damage with AXE no matter what other people are trying to point out. YES 2h sword attacks a lil faster BUT when u got for fast skills in pvp or any other situation u rely on skills and guess what skills ignore the attack speed of the weapon and are casted at the same speed.

GUESS WHAT, when it comes to skill spamming a level 50axe (given all hits connect) will outdamage a level 70 2h sword or brake even.

DON"T GIVE ME SOMETHING LIKE yes but at plus 9 the bonus for level 70 is bigger than tha bonus for the level 50 axe. The damage added to a weapon is directly related to the basic attack of the weapon so basically at +9 the value of your offence will 2x the value of the max attack power of your weapon. SO YES even at +9 a CG halberd when it comes to skills spamming with break even withthe level 70 flamberge.

I think my love of 2H swords stems from my love of the show Highlander ^^

But yeah I agree with Leona. You may like 2H swords now, but if you want to plan ahead and want to really cause some damage in the long run, axes would be the way to go. Especially important since you're just starting out on this character so you can start putting in the proper mastery points ASAP.

I'll go full STR from now since i already "waste" some points in END (actually not a big waste i think cause more hp is always better :) )

Thanx to trying to make me an axe-user but i really like the look of 2h-sword and just playing this fighter for fun at the moment...well at least until lvl 30 then dunno...
May become my new main but i don't think so...

As an axe user you want the 5% critical from SPR. Before going full STR, you want to place 25 points into SPR.

The more your axe criticals the further it pulls away from the 2-handers, hammers, and 1-handers league.

If your axe criticals during a power hit, or a precise attack, thats 2000 damage if not more your dealing. Against a cleric its half the amount due to their defence, but a 1000+ damage critical is enough to make them sweat.

As for skill empowermenets, fully empower your power-hit skill. Damage, cool-down, and possibly SP if you want to save yourself some money.

Maximum empower devastates damage, cooldown, and duration.

Maximum empower precise-attacks damage and cooldown.

As an axe user you deal more damage with your devastate than a 2-hander or 1-hander. The reason is because skill damage is additive to the weapons damage. The longer you stun the more you can drench your opponite in overwhelming firepower.

Precise attack is our highest damage dealing skill. However its cooldown is 50 seconds. With its damage and cooldown empowered you can fire it off every 35 seconds.

Power-hit is the highest damaging skill with the lowest cooldown until eradicate comes around. Empowering it allows you to use it 3 or 4 times in a skill spam sequence.

Yeah because "endless build question thread" can mean it's a thread about the build without endurance, OR it's an another build question thread that will never end lol
