Signature/Avatar Sizes

We have discussed about this for a while now. Currently, we aren't able to set a limit for signature sizes for both image and text. However, we've decided to use the following guidelines to decide whether a signature is appropriate or not.

Limits:

• For signatures: You are limited to approximately 500 x 350 pixels - including both images and text. We may allow a bit of leeway depending on the signature in terms of height, but we recommend you to keep the width of your signature to a maximum 500 pixels to avoid stretching the forum page.

• For avatars: You are limited to approximately 100 x 100 pixels.

• The maximum number of images you can have in your signature is 4.
  
  
• Your signature can not be longer than 1000 characters including BBCode markup.
  
  
• The usual forum rules apply to your sig. No porn, hentai and any other inappropriate content in it.

What happens if my signature goes over the limit?

We will send you a pm to ask you to remove it. If you do not remove/change within 2 days, then we will remove the signature.

Um, width wise, yours is ok. But height wise, it's a bit long. You might wanna take out a few lines of text or something. Compare it to the sample size I have posted above. Yeah, don't think we can limit a size for both text and images so for the time being, we can only estimate. D:

Is an avatar suppose to auto-resize?

I have no idea, actually. I have always made my avatar 100x100 px.

Did yours autosize? Did you upload it onto FF, or did you use another hyperlink for your avatar?

Yeah it was 120 x 120 but looked exactly like the 100 x 100.

Really? Wait, which option did you use? There's two. One you upload to the site, one where you provide a link to the image. Or do both resize it?

How long did it take for you guys to finally come up with the size limit? xD!!

Around 7 months.

I am bumping this thread, because it has come to my attention that there a quite a few members that have rather large signatures. Rather than PM all of them, I am hoping you will read this and resize your siggy accordingly. If you have any questions please PM a mod. I will recheck the siggies in 3 days to give everyone a chance to check theirs. After that we will be sending out PM warnings.

The limit also includes the words and quotes you add to it also.

why is there rules on signatures??

Because large signatures tend to stretch the page and makes it hard for other members to view the forums.
