Yosei's First Rant
Its my first rant in this section okay??? Gaaaaaaawd. Sheesh! lol
Here's something for you guys, use this as an example. You know what really bugs me? How people in Fiesta are now in such a rush to level. Its like your level gives your skill and you're automatically elite. I know, a lot of people would call me a hypocrite, since I'm one of the highest levels on here, but really, I never really rushed, nor wanted to, and I certainly have never considered myself elite o.o. With the way my life is, I don't have much to do during the day, so to amuse my self and to get even a little bit of socializing done, I play Fiesta. For awhile, I found grinding bearable, but it slowly gotten annoying. I am soooooo A.D.Dish now, I can't grind for more than 2 hours, and if I die more than once in those 2 hours, I just leave. But now, it seems like its all people want to do. I can't walk around Elderine or through Roumen without someone asking me to level them. When I sign in, I get like 5 PMs asking if I want to grind, people always tell me I should atleast try to level so I can get Inferno(apparently I'm useless without it?). When I was in my 30s, I grinded in MT, VT, and GC, in my early 40s, I grinded in CP, and a little in CP1, late 40s, Uruga, and occasionally AEW, depending on our tank. But my aim was horrible, even with an aim scroll. Now.. when you go to all of the low leveled places, like MT-CP1, its like they're dead. Seems like everyone 30+ is off trying to grind in Uruga and beyond. Their aim has to be horrible o.o 30s killing level 60-70 mobs o.o 40s killing level 80 mobs(I assume thats the level of the mobs in FoS). Even at level 64, I miss acouple times on mobs in FoS. I wonder what its like for level 40 people o.o So everyone level 30+ is bunched together in 3-4 zones. When really, it should be spread out between 8 zones. I read a thread on the main forums saying if 30s can go grind in Uruga and AEW, then 60s should be able to have Burning Rock. Of course, a lot of lowered levels disagreed saying its pointless to release the zone because the mobs there are level 90+ and thats 30 levels higher than they are. Sounds a little hypocritical to me. lvramire and I were chilling in Elderine one day when a little level 20 archer girl came up and sat with us. She was mesmerized by my costume and just by our levels. lvramire wanted me to save him from her cuz she seemed interested in him, so I engaged in a conversation with her. She told me she likes to go to places she shouldn't be and leech off of people. I asked her why, and she said because it gives good exp, and she gets to see new places. Also, she couldn't wait to be as high leveled as us. I told her she should slow down and enjoy the game or else she will be REALLY bored at our level and end up doing the same as lvramire and I(sitting around in Elderine). It just confuses me. |
1. Not your first rant
2. I have guildies plvl me coughspiritpatchesandlokicough That's why you would see a 2x archer in forest of slumber and maybe AEW xD!! |
Well I meant in here ;p
And I mean people trying to GRIND, not plvling. |
@Forever: Yes, but that is different. You had someone who was willing to plvl you. But Yosei is talking about those who goes up to those people by themselves to leech off people they don't know.
And yeah, I always get asked what level I am a lot by various people. It's because I've been playing for Fiesta for so long, I think they all expected me to be like level 60+ or something, when in reality I level at the pace of a snail, so when I say "49", I sometimes get a "shocked" reaction, which annoys me a bit. =/ |
I just think Uruga should be 40+ atleast. Or when the milk quest begins(kind of like an initiation "TA DA! You can go to Uruga now!")
If they ever implemented level restrictions, I'd support it. No offense to our lower leveled friends here. But I remember when Uruga was so lag-free, it was nice. I'd go days on end without being to Elderine cuz it was so nice to be in Uruga. Now.. Uruga is more laggy than Elderine for me. |
I know what you meant xD!! I was just sayin' D:
|
I dont understand how a group of lvl 30s can grind at Uruga/AEW... i thought itwas already a big step for me when i was back at lvl 30s to grind in CP!!
I'm lvl 54 now, and i miss a hell of a lot in AEW with T2 aim scrolls, i dont know how they could tank and kill efficiently there... BUT i mean as long as they dont train me, or leech off me, have their own party i dont really care... It's actually funny when i get in Mara KQ with my lvl 24 fighter, and u get all these ppl showing off about "i've got a lvl 43 archer" and wat not... and here i am a ZOMG lvl 54 cleric thinking... yeah man wat a pro -.- /sacasm OK lvl 54 is pretty low too... and i still suck big time in MD... but i just realise how dumb it sounds.... |
=/ I kinda take my time... I never move on without completing all my quests.... even for my alts. Only reason I've leveled fast recently was to stay around the same lvl as 2 friends. but at 60 i'm probably going to stop or slow down grinding and do production and wait for burning rock to open.
Only reason i can stand grinding is cause my guildies. We have fun mobing in seg and getting ourselves killed. We laugh and have fun, not grumble and quit the party. :) (died twice yesterday and lost 20k xp but oh well) Yeah its fun watching your lvl jump so much, but after a while its boring and those are the people that quit. |
Uruga is level 50-60
Ancient Elvin Woods is level 60-70 Forest of Slumber is level 70-80 Burning Rock is level 80-90 Temple of (forget its name) is level 90+ There can be some monster-level overlaps however, this is generally the level range of the monsters found in these zones. I agree that 30's shouldn't be trying to grind in Uruga nevermind Ancient Elvin Woods. At any rate we need to see some changes. If the damage of players weapons, defence of armour, and monster HP, defense and damage were exponential (instead of linear) in nature, we wouldn't see this problem. For example, level 50 weapon deals 500-600 damage, while a level 60 deals 1000-1300 damage, and a level 70 deals 1800-2300, level 80 2800-3500, etc. What would it do? It would make it nearly impossible for a level 30 to be able to grind in a level 40 zone unless he's truely close enough to be able to do such a thing. This would keep everyone in their respective zones. Experience rates could then be altered to be more suitable for the players of that specific level range. It would close the door to high-level and low-level player interaction (somewhat), but it would send a clear cut message to those who just want a powerlevelling. |
oh..like when my cleric in fiesta was lv2x..I was killing mara, then this mage out of no where killed it while we are killing it and called me a noob for not killing it and he stolen the kill :/
I rushed once on leveling, trying to get to lv40 in 1 hour at lv38 with loveless's help and it was success :D. I dont really rush level, I just kill and lvl slowly..like not even 1 lvl in 2 days that I get to play o.o.. |
I wouldn't completely cut us off. It would help with botting, some plvling services, lower levels being a burden(training, spamming for plvls, dying a lot).
|
There wasnt that trouble of lvl 30s and 40s invading Uruga when Uruga was MUCH harder to get to... they should put a bunch of that Mage Templer guy (4got the name) that's with Karasians in front of EVERY uruga gate...
we could hardly get to concealed prison (that dungeon place at the top of CP) with that thing on the bridge back at lvl 40... and it was enough to stop us getting to Uruga easily... they should do the same for every other gate that's available now.... |
Quote:
Even shouting for a party in CP gets you invites from level 20-25's thinking they can help. |
Even when i was playing my level 6 fighter, and I was killing fire mushrooms, some person tried to kill one too but almost got owned. He was running away and i killed the mushroom. Then he said something like "can we be in a team plz, im level 3". I tried explaining to him the concept of different monsters having different levels, and that he should try to kill normal mushrooms which are nearer to his level, and he goes "its too difficult for me I will die".
Seriously... even low leveled characters get rudely begged for plvs? I thought that it was bad that when im on my cleric i got spammed with party invites from the same person who later insulted me and went "how do u get ur mini slime noob and stupid" to be bad enough. I guess the warning signs near the portals were not clear enough... i think when u click on the portal they should say something like "Do you want to move to sand beach field? only recommended for levels 6-11". that way there would be no excuse to not know. |
Half the people in Uruga these days aren't even lvl 30!!! I see lvl 8 armor and lvl 15 armor on these people...
And then some nice higher lvled person decides to party them... -.- Though, actually, I started in Uruga at 40 (by accident. By party said they were going to AEW and then they ditched me so I had to go back to Uruga by myself...). I can hit Orcs well enough so that all three of my debuffs hit. But I am an archer (with only +1 Dex) and I have to use a T1 Aim Scroll. And I still miss some but it is greatly improved. I'll miss like 1/20 (Rough estimate. Mebbe more.) It's kind of ironic because I never went to GC once to lvl in my 30s and now I solo in there all the time as 40+. But it's not such a hard solo anymore with an Endure buff and I like the drops I get. Plus, I don't get all Ragey looking at lvl 20 clerics getting parties in CP while I don't... Edit: And as of right now, gates don't even matter because with the relog bug, you get three seconds of non-aggro to move which is more than enough time to get through the gate. May take a couple of deaths but people will get there. Get rid of relog bug--get rid of lowbies. |
"First rant"? LOL xD
At level 40 before the Dec 18th patch, I could AoE Ancient Stonies and Lizard Knights (Lv79), without much trouble. Now at 50 (STILL. T_T), I can't do many more. I would kill for a grinding party, but I'm not even wanted in any (I'm low-leveled.). I level slower than Blah. ^^; Just joined a semi-full guild (Blizzard), with people I know, so hopefully I'll be back in the game! >=D Yeah, mages are now "weak" if they don't have Inferno. LOL Last time I checked, a mage at Lv66 shouldn't be called weak or inferior. I have to say I love going through Roumen, because I get a few "r U a gm???///"! xD |
I just wish that I could find the drive to get back in the game.
I'm lvl 55 still (for WELL over a month) and I used to LOVE to go kill things, and gain lvls... but now... it all seems pointless. Nothing new the higher lvl I get... more noobs getting in on the areas that I had to work HARD to get to. I left to play BK for a little over a week, and when I came back, everyone I knew is 60+... lvl 55 is now a nub compared to all the CB people I played with from the beginning. I just can't play "casually" like the title says and still be good enough to hang with the people I "grew up" with in game. It took the lust right out of me to play the game. |
Quote:
I agree. I want to get to 60, but then what will I do? Grind? No thanks. |

lvl 54 now.. and for a while back, i was happy grinding! now its a bit slow.. i roam around for a bit going.. hmm wat should i kill.. i dont feel like killing anything... but i think it's coz the lvl 60 armour isnt very attractive... and without the crit rate suit it's not much fun to train as a cleric.. maybe things will change after val set comes out~ |

If that's what it takes... then I'm off to BK or some other game. If no other games... well then... I'll just have to study more and more, I don't care. The game was good, but not anymore. |
I think the times I rushed for the next levels were when I was 2-3 levels away from my next weapon and when I was close to hitting 50. Even then while everyone else in the guild was going to Uruga I stayed in CP soloing Harkans. The exp was good for my level and so were the drops... and the license leveled up nicely for me to have great criticals.
I never understood why people would want to go to these 'high level' places. The drops are beyond horrible and so is the pace at which you kill for the damage you take. I, for one, do not like to waste money on such places. :P I'm often seen soloing Orcs (leveling license again) and I get random clerics asking to level with me. They can't really heal me enough but because they try hard (I think they might break their heal button) I let them stay until they gain a level or two. They are polite enough so that's fine with me and I save HP stones. Level restriction on Uruga gates? I would support that only because those small handful of people have ruined it for everyone else. The lag I get when I logged on the other day was beyond bearable. I can take up to 3 Orcs without a cleric while using stones but... I was killed so easily cause of the lag. :/ Now at 59... I can't find motivation to level in Fiesta. Weird since the job level is "just" 3 million exp away. But the lag and power leveling beggars is just too much to handle. I don't like getting spammed with a million party invites... when leveling by myself is hard enough. D: |
Really, one of the worst things about it is not the 11 million xp that you will need at lvl 69, but that you also now have to compete with 4 or more parties of people who frankly, just can't take it there.
All the spots at Fos and AeW are usually taken so I just relax and casually grind on Orcs. It's really, really slow but there's nothing else to do. Eventually I wander into some party's "territory" and they tell me to "GTFO" or insult me for thinking I'm better than them because I'm relatively higher-leveled. Worst thing is I have usually not said anything through the whole time and that I'm usually on my way out when they insult me. Usually I have to head back and revive them =/ I don't like the idea of lvl-locks but I now see the reason for them. Make people wait and earn their levels, not spam-heal or leech through them. I've seen lvl 30 clerics, who were lvl 50 2-weeks later, no exaggerations. Lag which was something unheard of in Uruga, is now a factor you have to consider before stepping in there. Elderine is looking empty these days, everyone 30+ is looking to go to Uruga. = l Edit-and If and when Burning Rock is ever released, you know what's going to happen. -my 2c- |
When Burning Rock opens... I may actually have a free, lagless spot in Uruga. >.>
Seriously though, I play BK and I get little to no lag when it's all the way in Japan. Then when I log into Fiesta I'm going a mile a minute trying to get from spawn point to the stone merchant. And supposedly their servers are in or near Cali? Yeh, I live in Vancouver I should be able to connect fine... |
The servers in Japan is something i really don't get. I have zero lag in BK, yet Fiesta? Wow. Also a level restriction would make it so I couldn't bring heal slaves to Uruga =-= and that would not make me happy. My favorite thing to do is to play Mara on my level 17 nub archer and find good clerics to bring to Uruga with me ^^. Imagine their surprise when a 50+ fighter invites them from many maps away and says "Hi I just did kq with you =p" Now that i am level 56, grinding is really getting old, I have found that with one 55+ cleric and a 60+ mage we can aoe a whole trumpy field with the mobs gone before devastate runs out, though that gets really boring. There arent many good grinding areas left because there are parties that have no business being in the high level areas. I try to stay out of FoS because you find the 60-70+ parties there, and they are typically not very receptive of a level 56 fighter sticking his nose in their mobs ^^. And it bothers me when a part of five comes and grabs a few trumpies right in front of me when i am collecting for aoe. Though i have no idea what could be done. A level restriction would hurt those with higher level players just coming to set up shop and things like that, though i am sure they could work around it, so i dont know =/.

What they should have is a system that doesn't let you go into places when your levels not high enough.
For example, you try to go into Uruga below level 50, and you get told you can't because your not a high enough level. That'd solve low levels in Uruga. Of course, they'd have to change the level limits, but that's not hard. |
I agree with the level limits for certain places. However, since you get a quest in your 40s to go to Uruga, the level limit should be 40. But, oh yes!!!! Level limits on the maps would be great.
|
Level limits, although I started off being against them, actually sounds pretty good. Would stop spammers from entering Uruga if they did too @__@ Level limit to Uruga should be 34-35 ... that's when we get that millk quest xD |
I think the level limit for Elderine should be whenever you get the quest to go there. And for Uruga, that milk delivering quest. But then again... I think you get that quest at level 28. My fighter has the quest. Maybe get rid of the quest, and/or move it to a higher level? 40 sounds like a nice level limit for Uruga. And I think CP should be 30+, AEW, 45-50+ish. Everywhere else doesn't seem to have too much of a leeching problem.

o.O Then why does my fighter have it. Glitch I guess?
|
h4x lolololol.
I'd like to get that glitch at Lv28. Insta-level. |
My numero uno pet peeve in Fiesta would definitely have to be low levels running around maps that are inappropriate for them and asking strangers to party them. Like when I'm trying to train my sword at CP and level 10s keep randomly party request me, and then berate me when I refuse -_-
|
uruga last year was lag free!!
went there with my guild, to explore (first time there lol, was abt lv30) then once i hit lv33 i started going robo and grinding in GC myself, didnt go uruga for quite awhile now, with my new guild, i go to uruga and... LAG!! seriously, i dont mind the lvl1 ppl there who already got a friend who AGREED to plvl them. but those without a pt will keep begging and begging for my pt to train them. right, we trained them (pun) but they just respawn and come back!! escaping to AEW and FoS doesnt make a difference (FoS is 'safer' from these ppl though) and now, spam bots in uruga. i think thats the worst thing. |
