Who could have known?!

The patch has been postponed. I can't really describe my anger/hate twords Outspark now, so I'll just log out. Disgusting, is all I have to say. Seems like at a certain point, customer service would become a priority.

Let's hope third time is the charm? Oh, wait, too late for hope.

(It doesn't count as flame/rant if it isn't directed at a single person, right? (not counting guilds...))

Can someone move this to that new section that I already forgot the name of? xD

Edit: All the Rage, please.

Yosei 02-12-2008 05:58 AM

I'm in no hurry, but then again, I have a costume o.o

NotMyWay 02-12-2008 06:00 AM

Its "All the Rage"

Hyper 02-12-2008 06:06 AM

It doesn't bother you that this happens almost every time we get an "update"?

That V-day pack isn't what I want. $20 isn't worth a few shinier pixles and some higher hits. Especially if there's no weapon.

I planned on using my only sick day (tomorrow) to look all-day for a blue-titled, but once again, Outspark has foiled my plans.

Loveless 02-12-2008 06:07 AM

Before I even came into the thread I knew by looking at the title... "I bet it's another delay"

Wow, not really surprised... but wow.

Blaaaaaaaah 02-12-2008 06:18 AM

Eh, it doesn't really bug me. Not because I've already have the Val set, but delayed patches don't usually bother me as much, unless it's something I REALLY REALLY look forward to. D:

If it's just a few days, I guess it's ok. But if it's like, postponed over and over again then maybe it will bug me. Depends on the update I guess. o:

Enraya 02-12-2008 06:19 AM

Well ...

Delays aren't bad if they happen only once in a blue moon, but Outspark really has pulled off a lot of these.
I'm in no rush, but I know a lot of people that will complain about this.

=/
There really isn't much to say, we are kind of all expecting it now.
I'm not going to flame though ... I really wonder what's happening behind the scenes. What's causing them to run behind all the time? Can't flame what I don't know.

Hyper 02-12-2008 06:24 AM

This is the second delay of this patch.

I think Outspark thinks they can get away with pulling crap like this. No one is speaking up against them. Where's booyah?! We saw change last time we spoke out, and I guess that's the only way Outspark reacts.

Hessah 02-12-2008 06:35 AM

urgh! i AM looking forward to the new cash shop items.. i didnt use my 2nd santa suit thinking that they'll come out in 2 weeks and i didnt want the 1 month costume go to waste.. they delayed it a week (which i wasnt too bothered about since they never garanteed it).. but they now delayed it once more after sounding REALLY sure~ (with time and everything)

they KNOW this patch was coming they had like 2-3 weeks to prepare for it... at this rate we probably wont get a val costume till easter!!

i can imagine the new pvp maps and things to be extra hard to handle and maintain... but surely the new CS items are easy to add... i would've thought they'll be smarter to release the CS items 1st that way they get their money!

(excuse my bias rant coz i just want the val set)

now i dunno how much i need to charge up for the free gift...

i guess $5 will do me for now... (if it works...)

Loveless 02-12-2008 06:36 AM

Yes, and expect a CL to reply to you instead of a GM telling you about how they are working on it. Or most likely have your thread locked/deleted.

AnimosityAlone 02-12-2008 06:37 AM

Lol. We're complaining about delays because we're too eager to buy things from them? That's ironic.

Enraya 02-12-2008 06:40 AM

o___O I forgot this was their second delay ...

Now I'm REALLY curious.
What are they doing!?
If they wanted to, they could've just said "it's going to be out Feb ___" if they weren't sure that they could get it done. And then we'll all be happy cause they're on schedule!

But what IS causing them to be so behind?
We need a GM on FF D:

*headshot*

But really... it's not so much the content but the fact that they're delayed once again. This time when they were "sure" of the date/time.

AnimosityAlone 02-12-2008 06:46 AM

I'm sure they'll be sure on Wednesday.

Enraya 02-12-2008 06:46 AM

~______~

Well, we don't have to be rude ...
Yes, this is their job, they're not punctual, we DO deserve more, but we don't have to flame them.

Some day... some day they'll do it right.

Btw, I like your sig lightning. :P

Ralath 02-12-2008 06:55 AM

I don't even understand the reason behind the delay. I mean, surely they would have tested out the patch beforehand right? That is standard procedure right? So they would know that something will be wrong with it....

It boggles my mind.

Lessee. Valentines day is... the 14th... Today is the 12th... The patch is being delayed...... Anyone else seeing a problem with this picture?

Enraya 02-12-2008 06:58 AM

@ Loveless
Haha, thanks xD

@ Ralath

Which brings back to my question o-o
Why is it delayed?
Why won't they tell us?

EDIT //
Unexpected issues?
D:
Some of us buy SparkCash and are really into this game, we deserve to know more.

Loveless 02-12-2008 07:08 AM

Unexpected issues. Typical answer.

Seriously, we deserve to know more.

Ralath 02-12-2008 07:10 AM

I bet they've known this patch has been coming for... 3 weeks AT LEAST (almost assuredly more--that's a conservative estimate). This stuff has been implemented for FOREVER.

No good company would ever release a new product without testing it extensively. I'm sure Outspark has a little playground server or whatever that they can use to test the new patch.

And you're telling me they found "unexpected issues" at the 11th hour?

...

Edit: Oh looky! A third green bar! *is really proud* *goes to check User CP* o.o My rep went from 106 to 203 with one +rep.

Enraya 02-12-2008 07:13 AM

LOOOOL, agreed with Ralath.

I think most people wouldn't be too angered if they found "unexpected issues" a few days before today and had to push it back a day, but right now is more than a little too late ... @__@"

They should have a reason for this, right? Unexpected issues? Way too broad. Unexpected issues could include almost anything that's ... unexpected. And is an issue.

Amanda2_0 02-12-2008 11:11 AM

I am shocked!!! Okay not really but was really hoping Outspark would pull through this time. Forget the CS stuff I wanted to see the lvl 1-79 battlefields, which could be the only reason for the delay. Considering all the CS stuff is already built into the client side that would doubtfully be the problem.

Well it was late maybe they just fell asleep

Spirit 02-12-2008 03:09 PM

Put this in the other rant thread about the same thing. Don't feel like typing it all again, so here it is.

They made sure to put The "Expected" date was 02/11/08. This means they are working towards that date and the hope to have it that date. In the past, they have put the date will be such and such. This time they worded it, to let us know they were expecting to due it on that date.
Kinda like when a woman is pregnant, her expected due date is 02/11/08, doesn't mean she will have her baby on that day.
So, I think this time, they actually did better. You never know what happened to postpone it. Last night, the server started acting real crazy. I kept getting booted and at one point, when I logged back in, I was actually in another guild's chat. I could see everything they were saying. When I repsonded, my guild saw my reposnses and I could even see theirs, but I was also seeing this other guild's chat. Maybe they thought fixing the server was more important than doing an update while the server was unstable.
I said all that to say, give them a break and lets see what happens. At least this time they did say "expected". :)

Ivramire 02-12-2008 03:10 PM

why didn't anyone put it up in the announcement section? o.O

Anyway, it's not really that much of a surprise anymore.
I can forget about it since the server was majorly unstable and they at least notified us it was going to be late unlike that eight-hour fiasco.

Was planning on it, but you beat me to it, lol. Trying to do this and work and I got a co-worker up my arse,.

But, seriously, thanks for adding it to the announcement section.

Yosei 02-12-2008 03:47 PM

Well they said theres issues with the patch... maybe its messed up or something, and they have to get a new one or wait for it to be fixed.

-Leona- 02-12-2008 04:15 PM

Rumors have it that they delayed it cuz BR was not ready yet and they might implement that with this new patch :/, again is just a rumour. If they implement Burning Rock with it THAN IT"S WORTH THE WAIT if they dont' than it will tick me off as i'm already mad >.<.

I WAN THE 5% CRITICAL BAD.

I dont' care about fashion, looks or cuteness ALL I NEED IS POWER :D

Yosei 02-12-2008 04:22 PM

Yeah if Burning Rock is there... so worth the wait(sorry to those who can't grind there!). I hope the rumor is true.

Hyper 02-12-2008 08:31 PM

I really doubt they are adding BR.

Outspark probably wouldn't pass up the oportunity to get some advertising for the release of Burning Rock.

Yosei 02-12-2008 08:47 PM

They didn't advertise the battlegrounds.

yeah i know! i feel ironic too!!

I guess Spirit has a point, about the expected thing... i wonder if they had expected an unexpected issue that's why they threw in "expect" time knowing there's probably gonna some kinda issue... (did i lose anyone there?)

i guess i rather wait till they fix the unexpected issue up then release the patch than for them to half-arse release it and it's got bug all over it... but then again, i doubt it's gonna be bug-less still, well i guess we'll just hv to wait and see! maybe they can surprise me XD
