In an MMO
What makes an MMORPG enjoyable for you?
Its been awhile since we had a discussion thread, so I thought I'd make one =D |
Community, and lots of stuff to do lol.
|
Uhh...running around a pixel town and dancing with random people when the game has dances? lol
Or just talking to random people xD!! |
hmmm not atually playing the game a forever? sounds fun.
|
Lol, I lvl and stuff but after a while...I like to just run around and do pretty much nothing xD
|
exciting ^_^
|
Its very exciting. Especially when you're in a guild like G____G :3
|
Its also very exciting not moving your character and having hour talks
about very wierd things when your in a guild like BusouRenkin |
We some times do the same thing but...most of the time in turns into us laughing at Blahs pro moments D:
|
I love the community of a MMO ^^ If the community sucks, I don't have fun D:
|
Br talks always end up in talking about penises or making fun of sensou o.0

I've partied with a bunch of BR people, you guys seem perverted, but its fun to party with BR people like shadow_shot, Jericho, and Triumph.
|
Triumph? Oy D:
|
Lol we are all a bit perverted o.0 especially rok ;)
|
Yes, even Triumph, we were rehearsing for Cookies video and someone said I should give Cookie a lap dance in the video. Next thing I know, Triumphs standing right there watching.
But lets keep this on topic ^^ Been awhile since we've had a discussion thread. |
lol i like lots of PVP , i meen
in fiesta there really isnt a need for good gear, in games with good pvp like wow and stuff u wanta nd need the good equipment for rAIDS and PVP |
The thing that gets me in a game is the Guilds. If it has a good Guild system and I can find a fun Guild to be in then im hooked.
Good PvP is really good. And a nice Combo system when I play as a tank. |
A good community is important. Not just guilds but having nice random people to party with is always a plus... like today I partied for 3+ hours in Concealed Peak. Great people and had fun.
Another thing is character customization and gameplay. Must either have a long range class (ie. Archer) or fast, heavy hitting (ie. Monks) characters. :P |
Yeap, the community.
Well, I mainly play because I have friends that I want to play with. -Sometimes-, even if the community is crap, I can still play as long as I have friends that are playing with me. I can never play a game by myself - I find it boring (which is probably why I don't play any consoles and stuff). That's pretty much it. And the game has to be nice to play in general. Doesn't have to be the best or anything, I guess. |
Before Fiesta, I never really cared much about the community as I normally soloed a lot. I usually was able to find a somewhat empty map and kill want I needed to kill in most of the mmos I've played. o-o Though, if it turns out my friends enjoy the game too or I meet nice people, it makes things a lot more fun. ^_^
I think as long as i like how the game works as a whole, I stick around for awhile, a good community and friends just makes me stick around longer. |
I guess I too put a value on community n__n I normally solo a lot, but after a while it just becomes tedious, and it's so much more fun and faster when you get to talk with your friends AND kill stuff. A great bunch of friends or guildies is what keeps me in Fiesta xD I also like to kill other players, LOL. As long as both sides has good intentions and aren't overly serious about things, then PvP I like 8D Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to own anyone yet xD Also, I need something to keep me going. Some kind of motivation. Something that's actually reachable if I keep on going xD probably not something like reaching lvl 79, just being able to do Robo KQ would be good enough for me, as an example. |
I guess the community, friends, graphics, and quality of GMs...
I still find Fiesta more fun than Maplestory even though all my real-life friends quit fiesta or seldom go online, and a few play MS... (i play ms a bit but its easy to get bored, especially with a 2-D gameplay and sometimes appalling community) |
Seeing noobs get pwned by noob mobs
Seeing pro getting pwned by noob mobs Seeing flame wars Participate in flame wars Community Friends Training people with strong mobs Trying to make money, game wise |
The people that you meet in the game and in the forums that can make or break a game.
|
i def think that good atmosphere makes a game - lots of options and game control is important to me too, but mostly being able to interact and play with other interesting folks - i'm a huge fan of randomocity - yes its a word, ....now

I love it when you're killing Colls or Orges and some random 2x/3x starts KSing you, then they whisper you "WFT DO U THIK UR DOIG////!!11". My bad, I should just leave the mob if you decide you want it. Thank you for enlightening me. |
I want there to be a good community. I had a big circle of friends in Toontown and I have a big circle of friends here in Fiesta, both have taken the majority of my online game time.
I have played Runescape & Flyff but I never really built a big circle of friends coz ppl acted like @sses or perverts or both and I booted them. Ended up only playing in Flyff when my grandson was online playing. I have also played Angels Online, but after Runescape & Flyff was leery of adding ppl just because they asked. And I have tried a couple of others but never got into the game enough to know the community, but community would have been the make or break for me. |

haha, in rappelz, I started so many flame wars with KSers :P, and then the KSers usually get killed by my guild mates. Too bad you cant kill people outside of town in Fiesta/BK D: |
The people. Every MMO I've played so far, I've made some great friends that I still keep in touch with (mostly on facebook) even if none of us play the game where we met anymore.

P.S. SillySalty on TTC is such an abusive mod. I was temp-banned for putting pic links of Fiesta. Was also temp-banned for putting a YouTube video of the "PS3 1337". |
1. Inspiring awe. Has happened in RuneScape, World of Warcraft, and others. Includes the destruction of low levels for fun.
2. Community. Without friends, no one can ever advance as easily. Used to play RuneScape and World of Warcraft (haven't most of us played at least one of these at one point?), and advancing without solid support would have been difficult. Not impossible, but certainly hard. 3. Mastering the economy. Sounds weird, but I suppose there's that warm, fuzzy feeling after you can successfully manipulate the economy. 80c Vitalities, ftw? |

as in PK on, kill ppl, not training anyone, or anything, just turning PK on and killing them |
1. Graphics! i like cute kind graphics... which was why i was so into ROSE online and Fiesta, but couldnt get into Flyff and is not interested in those other really realistic looking character games...
2. In game content - quest and outfits. i just like doing quest... that's why i got so into Fiesta coz there's new quest even level! (or pretty much every level) And the armours and stuff comes out progressively (every 2-4 levels) so i can look different every few days... Flyff had 1 set of armour for 15 levels, i couldnt handle the boredom of looking the same way for a month... Usually those two would be enough to keep me playing for a long time XD i've never been in a close community of a game before.. but now that i've found a community like FiestaFan... u guys have set a REALLY high standard if i ever had to move onto a different game~~ |
forgot to put it in, agreeing with Hessah, Graphics :P, I love good graphics of the game. I am willing to try out any game with good graphics
|
Basically, i just love the "Cmon! We gotta do this TOGETHER or we wont make it." thingy in mmos. The group work is just amazing, specially like in ROBO where you just HAVE to help or mobs'll just pwn you. :D

I agree on graphics too. One reason why I quit RuneScape.
Call of Duty 4 + GeForce 8800 Ultra + HD monitor. You can't beat that. |
