Hi! ^^
Well I'm new, I have a lvl 14 archer full SPR build right now. I have power shot empowered +4 dmg, active shot +1 dmg, fury +1 durration. I got a nice light bow +6 that I got from a KG ^_^. Any tips? I got scroll making and decomp... but I can't really find anything to get my decomp up and getting SBL is a pain...
and I'm looking for random friends :D. |
First off, welcome to FF. :D
You can always go into the mines to find mid quality copper ores for decomping... then selling the low quality ones. :P Since you're level 14 you can farm Ratmen then later Lizardmen for SBL. I think after that you have to wait til you can kill Ice Vivis for the SBL. Full SPR might be hard to start with but it will pay off later in game so keep at it and best of luck. |

A tip to level up decomposition fast would be after mining copper ores and decomposing them, use material composition to recompose them into mid quality copper ores then decompose them again. This can also be done with other items like mushrooms. Of course, you will lose money or earn very little if you do this, but when you gain more skill, u might be able to make some profits. If you are new, i suggest not doing this too often. Also, by making a few characters, you can have all production skills and transfer items between characters by using the bank. Also, for scroll production, you can buy materials from other players, produce scrolls, then resell at a slightly higher price. But dont sell for too high, otherwise no one will buy. |
I haven't done this yet, but as NotMyWay said, I've heard decomp and comp recycling (decomping stuff, recomping, decomping, etc. until stuff is all gone) works well in building up skill production but you have to spend lots of fame on AS (alchemy stones) and not gain so much money. I guess the best way to do that is to make a new character with decomp and comp as their produc skills. I've heard scrolls were really good sellers, but I haven't tried vending them yet xD Just out of curiousity, what server are you on? =) |

Hi and welcome to the forums. To build my decomp up I went into the mines. You may also want to consider buying alchemy stones in a shop instead of slowly purchases them with your fame.

I got the same skills as you. But I never bother to train my decomp. For scrolls I always make a new character and have them pick up SBL and Torn Leather. At the moment I think making a cleric to pick up your stuff would be good since they dont die that easily. Good luck with everything. |
Wow this is a nice reception :), thanks for the tips everyone... are alchemy stones sold more in Roumen or Elderine? So is a full SPR build after +25 SPR worth it or should I go strength?

Well to you get alchemy stones at the fame shop in Elderine. So do quests to get fame which you use to buy the stones. And welcome to FiestaFan.

If your ever are short on money go farm mushrooms in AEW.

What's AEW? And what are mushrooms worth? Or mushrooms as in the monster?

Well AEW=Ancient Elven Woods it is a higher leveled map, mushrooms are things on the ground that you click on twice then you pick them for a couple seconds then you pick up their drops.

Lol I doubt that anyone that isnt lv40 can stay alive for long in AEW....

When you die you just relog instead of going to town. Then your right back in the same spot you were before but ALIVE! ^.~

Alive but low on HP so get ready to hit some stones real quick.
And as for the alchemy stones, what Spirit is saying is set up a purchase shop in Elderine right there in front of Merchant Nina or just check for people who have set up there selling them. But you would probably do better to buy just 5 and then set up a purchase store coz you can probably get them for less - might take longer, but might save you some coins. |

I really like the spot that Blaaaahs marked with "herbs." There are always a lot of herbs and mushrooms there except... I never went because it is kind of out of the way and me, as an archer, didn't like dealing with the monsters there.
I think the circle marked both is OK though. That's where I farmed for a while. There are still some mobs there but they are easier to avoid. |
I always farm at the place where it's marked "both" xD Thanks for the map Blaaaah's =3 The one with the mushroom is very useful for getting some common mushrooms for decomp, though the money from selling mushy stuff isn't as great as herbs. |

All I've ever farmed at is the intersection at the center, abundant with mushrooms @_@ although they're only common... ...And at level 49 I still die in 10 hits or less [without doing anything :P] from a Blue Clover Trumpy... How squishy I am =\ =X |
