Confusion on update??

We went down for a maintenance at around 5:00 my time I think ... ? That's nighttime for you? I'm pretty sure there was maintenance, there was a broadcast from GM SnakeEyes 2 hours before maintenance. Dont know why he posted it TODAY, though o___o |
Yeah, the Valentine packs have not been added. Maybe he does mean tonight and maybe it will be the one that updates the Cash Shop. But, yeah, I doubled and tripled checked it. And it is on the front page saying posted on 02-05-08, wth??? I think he needs sleep, haha. But, we will have to wait and see.

Tonight or not, its still maintenance...
They always say "xx.xx.xx Update" or "Patch" when any new items are added, so I doubt we're getting anything. SKiNG should have never put a date. "Early February" would have been better. |

Wait didnt the servers go down on Friday for maintenace?!
Cause I remember a Notice that said the same exact thing on Friday. "the servers will go down for 10min at 4Pm PST..." ...Maybe having a schedule isn't gonna work for Outspark... |
They work on the Korean companies terms. SKiNG said what they do is gather up information of what we apparently want, at the same time they debate on whether its good enough to release or implement into the game. They tell the Korean makers, and all they do is wait til the makers in Korea make the patch and send it over. Then all they do is apply. If theres a problem, like a glitch, they have to wait for another patch again.
But still... they should keep us updated cuz I'm sure 50% of the members of Outspark thinks they make the game. |

One of the CL quoted me and then gave me the bit about how dates aren't set in stone from wherever it was.
The stupid thing is that they put a date and not something vague like "the week of February 4th". I can live without an update but for them to not say a single thing is just beyond me. They did put up a date whether it's not in stone or it is; it's not going to happen they should've said something. Moreso if they're not the actual developers then they should say that... not let the CLs tell us. |
If they really wanted to do their job they would stop all the confusion and just give everyone a REAL estimate time and when its going to come out. Grr im angry D:<

I think the emergency update that occured earlier this morning was to remove the skill reset scroll from the cash shop.... :(

But you know what? In all seriousness, the GM's need to be applauded. I posted the post, because I thought it was odd that on the front page it stated the message wasn't posted until 02-05-08 and it was for 02-04-08. However, look at it this way. Why are we not on the main forums? *each insert your own answer* The poor GM's can't leave. They are stuck there putting up with all the randomness, Everytime they log in on the forums and on the game, they are flooded with people screaming at them and flooding them with questions. If I were a GM, I think I would go crazy.

I can relate to them @.@ Thats why I never blame the GMs when everyones all like "Screw you Dakkon!" Its not a one-man-one-company show.

I think people should be a lot more understanding that they are playing a FREE game. If they hate it so much and stay pissed off at outspark they should consider playing a game they have to pay a monthly fee to play, then they would have a right to get so upset when things get messed up.

Its not that easy to "hire more people". They are definitely understaffed; however, that is not the GM's fault. And they cannot go to their boss and say, "I demand you hire more people." It is kinda of like where I work. They give me a paycheck. I have to do what they tell me to do. When I am overworked, I cannot go to them and demand more help. When something happens that is out of my control, should I be yelled at? Yes, it is my job, but if it is something that I had no control over, should I have to put up with people "flaming" me all day?
Same thing for the GMs. It is out of their control and I can see where they get tired of everyone blaming everything that happens in the game on them. Just my 2 cents. |
You also have to remember that a good portion of the people playing the game are children. They only see the GMs so that's who they're going to be sending their complaints to. Even if they are understaffed it doesn't take more than five minutes to put up a small explanation. A CL can say all they want but afterall they're not exactly Outspark staff.
It is a free game but that shouldn't mean they lower their level of quality service. People don't seem to understand that with good customer service your profits will come naturally whether it was a p2p game or not. |
Yes it may be free, but for the people who spend tons on sparkcash its not.

Well, whether you pay for items or not... you shouldn't have to expect less just because it's a 'free' game. They are providing a service and when your customers question things you don't just ignore them regardless of whether they are mature or not.

I think it is more of a "you get what you pay for" aspect.
However, the ones of us that do use cash shop, use it knowing that we dont have to use it in order to play the game. We do it because we want to. Therefore, the game is still Free. |
That update that Spirit posted on the 1st page has nothing to do with all the cash shop stuff we expected from SKiNG's development post... the server when down briefly for us last nite (6.59pm GMT+11, which is 11.59pm PST), wich was also last nite for u guys and all i can see is they took out the Skill Restat Cash Shop Item...
they usually take more than just 10 mins to do a nice big patch anyway keke As for hiring more ppl.... I dont think hiring more GM is gonna help.. they need ppl that can fix patch/glitch/bug (a technician?) on their side, to help improve and speed up the maintenance of the game... getting more GM is just gonna give us a slightly quicker "we're working on it" reply.... |
Sure, we don't have to use the cash items... neither do people have to go off to watch movies or out for dinner. But you still expect something when you do.
If you've got the Cash Shop out and you know people are using it then it doesn't matter if the base gameplay is free or not. You have to look at it as a whole and as it is there are people paying real money for the game. You should give em the best service possible. At least that's what I believe in. |
And they probably are giving us the best service available that they can. It just might not be what we want or think we deserve. They may just be limited on resources and other stuff, and they are doing the best that they can with what they have to work with.

I'm probably expecting too much from them. :/ Like a lot of people say it's hard to adjust when you go to Japan and receive their level of service then come back to North America (in particular Richmond, BC). Same thing when you play Bright Kingdom and see the level of service they provide; they're on top of bugs with in a day of it happening. Then have a maintenance to fix within a week.

yeah.. u might be happier if u expect less from outspark XD
and yeah.. since Outspark is replying on Korea to send the patch (according to an earlier post), they cant fix bugs straight away even if they want to... which is a bugger... i guess that's wat we get for choosing to play a game hosted by this company that didnt develop the game... |
Or maybe they should hire developers and make it their own game... then gain don't know how good that'll be. o__o

btw.. has anyone tested if they fixed the battlefield bug/glitch thing yet?? or u still cant pvp? |

As for Outspark and stuff... Can't really say I have a comment. I don't expect much so I'm rarely disappointed. And I thought that glitch was fixed with the last patch. o-o |

I read the section on applying to work at Outspark, and there was a lot more requirements there than I thought there would be ;O I thought a GM was just a person to organize events/keep people happy/organize the schedule/respond to people, but apparently it's a lot more. Compared to lots of other companies and games, Fiesta doesn't exactly have the best to offer. I really think, though, that they're trying their best =/ When you have at least ten complaint threads on GMs in the forums every day with complaints on the game and complaints through PMs etc, I guess it gets hard. This is my first game, but I've read up on a few other games and they have much more things (in-game moderation, weekly maintenance, etc.) but as long as Outspark can improve I think that we really don't have too much beef with them. So, about the update @__@ What did they remove and add? |
