Lunia OB comes out July 31st AFTER Fiesta CB2
www.luniafan.com <--another fansite made by Keetos It's an Arcade MMO with 6 different characters. Eir-The healer Sieg-The Warrior Dainn-The Wizard Tia-The Thief Dacy-The Summoner Slime-The blobby lump that does more damage than all other classes combined Instead of grinding, this game has stages for you to do. During the stages, you have objectives (Guard a NPC, protect a town, kill monsters) and you get XP from killing monsters. Near the end of a stage, there's usually a boss monster that appears. Killing that boss monster = big xp and nice equipment for your party. At Stage 10 for all episodes is this really hard boss that actually takes strategy to beat (took me about 2 hours to beat 1-10 boss). So far in KLunia, I think there are 7ish episodes. Each episode has 10 stages. |
I played Lunia up until lvl7 I believe. It's a really fun game. o,..,o
|
cool lets make a fiesta lunia clan!...or we master fiesta THEN master lunia...which seems like a MMO+RPG+Street Fighter?
|
never tried lunia
But eh, an action mmo always catches my attention. |

Meh, I already beat episodes 1~3 on Klunia. Took me awhile since noone was on during that time to team against the bosses
|
Now I'm thinking about trying Lunia out...
|
It's a really good game worth trying. The gameplay in Lunia is totally different than almost any other MMO I've ever seen
|
Yea, I actually hope Lunia will inspire more games similar, and even better games. THE AGE OF CLICKING RPGS SHALL END LAWL! >:3
|
Well, if you'd like a 2D Lunia-like MMO, it's Pi Story for you. >_>;
To get back on topic, Lunia's unique. But it's kinda boring as you can only grind in story-quests. There are no proper training regions anywhere. |
Screw grinding. I hate grinding, no point of it in Lunia
|
It's not that hard to train in Lunia. Besides, beating stages again and again, it can only benefit you in both lvling and getting equipments. Especially if you play it with buddies so you can trade items.
What I love about Lunia is the fact that in most boss lvl items (excluding the final boss items like 1-10 or 2-10) is the fact that no one is greedy on keeping them, cos they are so common and easy to get. Although these equipments aren't very great, they'll at least upgrade you to be able to survive. |
After the end of the stage, people trade items if they can't use the ones they have. If they can't trade then off to the alchemist
|
Exactly, I reckon it's a great system, which hopefully won't be ruined. D:
Btw, I checked out "Pi Story", looks interesting, reminds me of Dungeons and Dragons that I used to play at the arcade. o.o Thanks for the reccomend. :3 |
I've attained the second highest level in Lunia CB, and the highest overall stats in general, and I must say the game isn't without grinding (and so far, it was only because of the stages we were limited to, even then, me and my friend who reached the highest level found out how to bypass this as well), but the game definately sidesteps the traditional grinding people has become familiar with when it comes to mmos.
Some points that I've found that "stands out" from other mmos. -Parties are literally promoted. There are "Public Rooms" which makes partying simpler since its kinda "forces" you to party, by allowing players to join until a certain point in the stage. There are also private rooms for private play with friends or solo. -3 Different ways to get EXP. The traditional exp from monsters/bosses, Quest EXP, and End-of-Mission EXP. This system makes it so that grinding is unnecessary in Lunia, in the traditional sense. -The "Action" RPG feel and system, of course. It gives it a new "refreshing" and fast paced feel. -Dual Refinement system, where you can upgrade a weapon/armor two ways. Normal refinement, and "Shine" refinement. It still follows the standard "Upgrade" rule that mmos follow. This makes having "Perfect" equipment alot harder, especially with the random "Grading" system. -Item distribution system in parties. The common loot is a free for all, but the "rares" are specified to whom it belongs. Not the best, but it works pretty well, even better in tandem with the Item Box reward for beating a mission. -A Storyline. Meh, I really was never into storylines, nor the whole gender specific characters (Such as in Talesweaver), but it appeals to certain crowds. -PvP System. The whole "Skill over Level/Equipment" applies to PvE, but alot more in PvP. I've defeated people 3 levels higher than me at one point, and struggled against people 5 lvls lower than me. Eh, I'm probably missing some, but I'll leave it at that. I'll be playing Fiesta for the last 6 day before Lunia (And hopefully keep my Top4 Spot in the server), but Lunia's where I'll be mostly after the 31st. |

Though this is not the right thread I should post in, has anyone found the link to the official English site? Or is it not up yet? I'll need some people in my future Pi team too. >_> |
