How Fast do you Level?
Like the title says, how fast do you level? In a month, I've gone up five levels ... from lvl 26 to 31. And I think, compared to the speed other people level, that it's kinda abnormal o____o lll I am constantly facing the pressure to level, as all of my friends are now more than 15 levels above me, not just 10. So how fast do you guys level? |

LOLOL @ A_Forever xDD That's why I'm starting a mage, with no-one to influence me to level and whatnot. I was just too influenced on my archer ... so I think I'll try to start over. I hate starting over on my produc skills though T____T EDIT @ Pritcher, posted at the same time xD Hahah xD I don't seem to go anywhere on my levels either, and it's starting to get boring at lvl 31. I want to stay and farm ice vivis, but then again I want to level. My mage is starting to appeal to me, since I've always been attracted to magic and my only reason for starting an archer was because of auto-attack o__o |
I...don't. You seem to level at around the same speed I did though. Somewhere around mid-twenties is when I'd start to slip away.

Hmm.. when I go for a grinding session, I gain about 20% on average. So, that would take me 5 days to level. But, I don't grind everyday, so every 5 or 6 grinding session, I will level. Haha.

Umm... from 60-> 77.5 in a month, but that wasn't playing every day.
Granted, I think I'm outside the demographic intended for the question... |

Dependent on where you grind.
If I go grinding in FoS, about one level every two days, at 6x. |
One month to get from level 1 to 40. I wish I could get powerleveling lol, itll take me 4-6 days to get to 40 with that. :p

@ Spirit Wow, keen eyes ^^ Well, I mainly feel pressured to level because of the people around me and what they say. You know "newb is n00b" and stuff like that. And first of all, I want to level so they don't treat me with such disgust. It's like they're handling dirt or something; I'm a person, I know how to play, I may be 3x but I at least have experienced something. Some people just ... ignore me. I never bother people voluntarily, and have never asked a random person for a buff/dispell yet, but some people just look right through me =/ Even if getting to a high level will be a hard grind, I want at least some kind of respect, even if it's little. Secondly, I feel left out. As I've already said, my friends are much higher above me. They're really nice: a lot of times they drop out of their grinding parties just to help me farm or level, and I really appreciate it. But, while they're doing all this for me, they still have their things to do. I get left out of a lot of activities because of my level. Third, I want to help out others. I've always admired people that will take a break from grinding and help out people. I know that a lot of people say that I can help others that are lower, but I really haven't taken the time to do that. I want to level up, become strong, take a bunch of newbies that want to learn (and are not noobs >__>") and help them out ;O My friends help me, and when will it be my turn to help them? That is my question. Yeah, I think that's why =) |
Second question. If you are happy at the level that you are at and you do not care to level quickly, then what does it matter what other people think? Just ignore them and work at your own pace. All that should matter is that you are having fun playing the game your way.

Since the beginning of OB, I have gotten to level 63, thats 5 months? My 20s.. I'd level once a day, same for my 30s, or maybe every other day, 40s, every 2 days, 50s, once a week, if I grinded hard I could almost put in 2 levels. 60s... not even once a week o.o

I probably have no place posting here due to my level, but I have to agree with spirit.
I level slow as dirt. I have been playing for three weeks and yeah, I was hardcore grind/quest untill level 24. once I hit the 1/3 marker in ANY game I play, I dont know what it is, I just start to get bored with grinding. I focus more on what i want to focus on. for a while it was enhancing weapons. I went around and enhanced the lvl 1,8, and 15 bows for people for FREE. Because it was what I WANTED to do. People I had on my friends list would say things to me about my level but I dont care. Im playing the game the way I want to play it, and I throughly enjoy it. Because in the end, its YOUR character. Its YOUR game. And as far as helping people, everyone needs help and I guarantee that your friends will in some way, shape or form come to you for help. It might be because you found some green gear that he can use, or that he needs lower tiered items, but everyone CAN help everyone in this game. And most of the time its not about helping who you want to help, its about helping who you CAN help. alot of people just a few levels shy of yours populate the FoM on my server, asking all KINDS of questions. I have physically walked someone to where the ratman spawns because he didnt kno how to turn the grid squares on in the map. Play the game your way and forget what everyone else says. |
Well I level my Archer about 1 level every 3-4 days I play. (Usually casue I cant find a good party, and when I do it doesnt last long). And my Cleric I level her 1 every day.

I level... don't know. I often restrict myself due to quests or something so sometimes I level pretty fast (for my playing style) and other times really slow (which, for me, is normal). |

Hm... let's see, since OB started I first went with a Cleric and got it to level 40. I think that took about a month or so. Then I switched to my current Archer which is at level 58 and that took up until a month or so ago.
I found leveling with my Archer to be pretty easy. Partly because I found a good group to party with. And during my 50s I was somehow always the one tanking so... I gained levels. |
Wow, I'm glad I'm not alone in slow leveling ... =) And to Spirit's question, I solo almost 90% of my time. I remember mainly partying for either KQs, quests, or helping other people. I want to level up quicker to get to all my friends' and guildies' levels, I guess that's mainly my cause of leveling up faster. I don't try to find a party, because I know I'll make friends with them and watch them level up huge amounts in the next level. And then I would have to find another party, make new friends, watch them level up from a distance, rinse and repeat. I started out as higher leveled than most of the people I've met, and now I have to watch them go grind with their friends in AEW. I feel like I can never keep helping a friend and keep talking to them because of our distance through levels. |
G____G always has your back. WE do not mind helping you out. We only go to FoS and AEW, because we have nothing better to do. If you EVER need help, do not hesitate to ask guildies. That is what we are here for. We would love to come help you, because it offers us a change of pace. We also dont mind taking you to the higher levels to get you more exp. I would go into a lot more, but I will save it for later. :D

I would expect now to level around 1 time a week >.< which is annoying the hell outta me seeing how so many of my friends are slowly gonna hit the cap before me >.<.
I dont' see any way i can get capped in less than 2 months AND THAT IS JUST RETARDED >.<. Not long ago i used to be one of the highest level fighters around (maybe in top 5 if not 3), now i'm dust >.<, so many fighters (not mentioning the other classes), outleveled me i almost ended up quiting last week >.<. I'm bored of grinding as hell therefore i rarely grind anymore but without grinding u can't level after level 70 which is retarded >.<, yet even though i started hated grinding this stupid thing i have called ego and competitivness will push me in grinding some more just to hit that damn cap :(. I WILL THOUGH TAKE BREAKS AND GO BULLY MARA AND MARLONE :D |
I... don't think you were ever top 3. I THINK you're #6 now though, or somewhere around there.

Well before I joined GG, I leveled like a turtle D:. But thanks to everyones help, questing and lvling was made alot easier. Enraya, when we met, you were like around 10 levels higher than me, but now I've caught up. You should feel free to ask the guild for help or ask me. Since we're around the same level, we can quest/kq/grind together. All you have to do is ask~
