How many of you are willing to

Pay 500% more for a cash shop items if they were to be permanent? maybe 1000% more? Personally I would pay that much for a critical devil dress simply for the reason of it being mine... to have to pay a monthly fee and have my item expire simply feels too inconvenient and of a sense of "renting" imo. Outspark can still make money from consumable items like extenders and teva, and most likely players will be more willing to spend on those if their costumes are permanent. Any thoughts?

Spirit 01-18-2008 01:59 PM

Tough one. But, if you think about it, the item could be made permanent and then that way you can change them out when you get tired of them. However, I do think it would be a bit unfair to have the costumes with crit bonuses as permanent. As much as I LOVE the crit rate, I think it would be unfair.

:confused:UNFAIR @_@, for who?

500% yes i would pay
1000% no i would not pay

THAT would mean buying suits fro around 10 months worth and GOD knows i wont' be playing this game that long from now on :D

Also it would kinda suck not to be able to change the colors from time to time

Spirit 01-18-2008 02:11 PM

It would be unfair to the kids that play that cannot buy anything from CS. Trust me, I am all for the CS, but having the extra crit is giving me an advantage over the ones that cannot pay for a costume with crit. However, it is only temporary and then I am back to the same level as they are. If it was permenant, then I would always have the advantage.

Or something like that... it all sounded good in my head, until I started trying to explain it.

Amanda2_0 01-18-2008 02:14 PM

Far as customs go permanent options would be nice and mounts... but things that add to stats should be temporary, cause really not everyone can afford CS items. Yeah and I probably would buy more things like pots or extenders if mounts or customs was not a thing needing to be paid for monthly to keep them. I doubt though we will ever see permanent items in this version of fiesta.

-Leona- 01-18-2008 02:20 PM

:DWell spirit it all depends, cuz right now i have stocked on critical santa suits and hats for 5 months therefore i will have the adv for another 5 months anyways, and when that runs out i'll buy other critted suits =P, therefore as far as i'm concerned mine is kinda permanent anyways

BUT WHAT I'D really love is to find an item ONLY FOR ME that gives 500 to each stat :D, than i would pawn everyone :D, BUT NEVER AS AN AGGRESOR BUT AS A DEFENDER (protector of the weak) THE LIFE OF A HERO :D

Yosei 01-18-2008 02:33 PM

Depends =/ In BK, you can buy permanent ones, and you can sell them too.

toolrocket 01-18-2008 02:35 PM

I think you ought to be able to buy "permanent" items w/ a level cap. Once you pass the threshold level, the item expires. Im a CS user and i sorta like the variety of things expiring after a while. I got pretty sick of the workout suit after 30 days. fun While it lasted, but good night, i was ready to see what my l40 armors looked like.

If i bought a special wep or armor or something, and it didnt exire until i leveled to the next level, then i wouldn't feel like i was wasting my money b/c i dont play much during the week. I could enjoy the item on MY schedule, not on OUTSPARK's schedule.

so, no i wouldn't pay extra for a permanent item b/c i'd surely get sick of it. and variety is the spice of life.

Spirit 01-18-2008 02:38 PM

But, if they made them permenant, then you could change them out when you got tired of them and put them back on later to give you more variety.

toolrocket 01-18-2008 02:41 PM

Good point, i guess i dont know HOW they work. If i bought a wep that was intended for a lvl40 mage, why would i want to go back to it once i had leveled to 50? Or are the weapons strictly bonuses. For example, the workout suit added bonus crits on top of my regular mage armor?

Edit: Spirit i just rep'd you and you got your third green nugget. it actually works!

Spirit 01-18-2008 02:45 PM

Speaking hypothetically (since in all likeliness this will never happen), but here is how I would do it.

Costumes would have several options and depending on which you picked, the price would vary. You could buy a 7 day, a 30 day, or a permenant outfit with no crit. Or you could buy a 7 day or 30 day with crit.

I haven't given much thought to the weapons, but I do not think they sohuld ever be made permenant, simply because once you level, you no longer need the weapon.

Edit: Thx Toolrocket. I didn't even notice, lol.

Yosei 01-18-2008 02:49 PM

I think BK has ALOT of options on what you can buy. I was looking at the cash shop, and they have different varieties of each costume.

Ulrike 01-18-2008 03:26 PM

I'd second the idea that if the item increased stats, then yeah it would be unfair to those who don't have to means to access the cash shop. But for mounts, mini-houses, or purely aesthetic costumes, then yeah being able to purchase permanent versions would be a welcome addition.

With that said though, personally I wouldn't mind seeing all items being have permanent options haha

Ethelinde 01-18-2008 04:11 PM

If only the greedy *bleeps* at Outspark would do a bit more for players this game would be so much better (ps I'm willing to sell my permanent items to players if I'm able to, after all I'm too lazy to farm for my own silvers). :p

rokaraged 01-18-2008 04:48 PM

Personally I would pay

But thats about 10-15 dollars just for a costume

Hyper 01-18-2008 04:58 PM

Having non-permanent weapons would be an aweful idea.

Yes, once you level from 40-50 you use a different weapon, but the CS weapons are purely aesthetic. That's why people in BK buy them, and that will be why Fiesta people will buy them.

And it may not make as much sense at levels where its easy to level- 40-59, but once you get to 70 or even 79, where you need tens-of-millions to level, you'll never accept it.

Also, permanent clothes don't raise stats. It honestly would never even be an issue with fairness in PvP, because they're tradeable.

Valentines 01-18-2008 06:39 PM

Yeah in BK the perm suits have no stats.

MikeyG 01-18-2008 07:42 PM

I like BK =)

I'm going to state what everyone else said... because it's what I believe as well.

I would like to see the non-stat suits for permanent =)

The statted ones for permanent would be like... someone lvl 79 could buy a special suit to wear on top of their lvl 70 armour because they're rich like that. Then they buy the crit suits for permanent of all varieties. (because they're rich like that). Now they have godly armour, hit the lvl cap, with a godly wep, and +25% crit rate for permanent.

well then... I sure hope I'm in their guild O.o

MikeyG 01-19-2008 03:54 AM

nice people give me a negative rep
because my grammer if bad, thats sad rofl...
