What Level Do Most Find Difficult to Play?

GM_SnakeEyes' poll.

Who knows, we may actually make a difference. More quests at 6x, maybe?

rokaraged 01-15-2008 02:14 AM

Kinda a stupid question IMO
With the exception of mages for the first 20 levels...
Higher levels are always harder with the exp requirements and the fact half of the quests are bugged...

alexbre 01-15-2008 02:16 AM

ya, i think 40+ is b cuz now i talk and dont SUPER GRIND like the other lvl 4x's. But, now the game is more fun

secbro20 01-15-2008 02:17 AM

I was gonna post this.

Its gotta be the later lvls.

Yosei 01-15-2008 02:19 AM

Its not just our levels... its quests and other things to do.

Hessah 01-15-2008 02:19 AM

i was just gonan say that too.. that looks like a stupid poll... i thought they're gonna be more specific like "level 49 has no quest (well no working quest) hence hard to level, lvl 47 has so many quest its easier to level"

It is just the levels. 38/50 of my friend's list has now quit, and I'm just too lazy to clean it up.

At level 68, you have one quest. I think it gives around 500k experience.

You need 10 million to level.

You grind the remaining 9.5 million that is required to level.

Spirit 01-15-2008 02:21 AM

Too vague. I will not vote.

Yosei 01-15-2008 02:24 AM

They're probably trying to come up with something to pacify(sp?) us.

Spirit 01-15-2008 03:35 AM

Then they should ask for direct opinions, kinda like what they did with the class differences. That would be better. That way we could tell them what we wanted changed.

viasta 01-15-2008 04:41 AM

I voted to lv1-5 ~_~+, since the poll is of course high lvl is harder

Yosei 01-15-2008 04:49 AM

The poll is asking at what levels do most people wanna quit playing =/

ROFLMAO

I was hoping I wasn't the only one who noticed that!

Patchouli 01-15-2008 07:12 AM

I still hate lvls 25-32.

(the normal way, not sit there while friends fast-track you)

Yosei 01-15-2008 08:00 AM

Lol, so yeah.. I voted 51+ cuz.. thats my level, and never did I ever consider quitting 51-. This game really isn't hard.. its pretty self-explanatory.

Pedobear 01-15-2008 08:03 AM

Outspark meeting:

GM1: The poll says most people want to quit Fiesta at 51+
Gm2: Simple solution, lower the cap to 49. GG NORE.

Spirit 01-15-2008 02:01 PM

I was hoping that at the higher levels there would be more quests to complete. However, it is looking like from here on out for me, all I have to look forward to is grinding.

Yosei 01-15-2008 03:47 PM

LOL@Pedobear

Spirit: yeah =/ basically. Some levels don't even have quests @.@ Like when you get your BoD quests, save them for level 54.. 54 has no quests.

Spirit 01-15-2008 04:16 PM

Dang. They really do need to give us more quests. It used to be that we could level on quests alone.
They could make them harder and give more exp, but yeah, something needs to change.

Yosei 01-15-2008 04:23 PM

Yeah. I know its only beta, and bla bla bla, no excuses. People can level easily in BK, and we can't. What makes us different from the Korean gamers? Nothing really.. we're all gamers when it comes down to it, we should have it just as easy.
Stereotypically, gamers in Asia are more hardcore gamers, if anything, they should have the harder leveling system.

I still think we should start a BK thread on the Outspark forums. Maybe make a thread showing off what BK has, and see how the GMs on the forums react.

FoxyBrown 01-15-2008 05:23 PM

Wow... I've lvl'd pretty quickly from lvls 24-32 just by doing KQ and quests... but I have noticed that there aren't as many to complete. Before I had more quests to do than I could accept at one time... now I'm all done with them before/as I'm leveling.

As for running out of things to do... you could always throw a license on a weapon and work towards completing it for that crit% bonus.

Does that mean that you thought the first 20 lvls were difficult as a mage? Well, I guess since my mage began with a +6 weapon that lvls 1-18 were pretty easy for me :D

Yosei 01-15-2008 05:44 PM

Working on a license is even more boring than grinding really..

Lithon 01-15-2008 06:03 PM

idk, working on my orc lic was a lot more fun than grinding IMO, only because i was working towards some kinda goal, and getting good exp at the same time, yay for fighter solo's lol

Yosei 01-15-2008 06:08 PM

Soloing to me is boring D: and slow.

I'll do it. worse they could do is ban me. I've been there, it's not so bad.

Yosei 01-15-2008 06:33 PM

I think someone else is too.

Hyper 01-16-2008 06:41 AM

Lol, read my latest thread.

That wasn't even the full-blown BK thread. I need tons more pics ans stuff. Maybe this weekend, since I have 3-4 days off.

Agree!

Kill 30,000 (or some other huge number) of "blah" is a lot of work, especially when if you started at lvl 50 and go to lvl 59 killing "blah", the licence still didn't finish. (more of an issue before the cap was off)

I also hate how licences only apply the bonus damage to the damage range of the weapon (so in the case of lvl 50 wand it's only like +80% of 280), and don't work on any skill that isn't single target.

Yosei 01-16-2008 06:45 AM

I'm a mage(and I think you are too?). With a +9 weapon, and an INT build, I think I do enough damage as it is. Not worth it =/ Then again I'm the kind of person that can't do things for long periods of time without getting bored.

*thinks she might have ADD*

I felt hurt every time you mentioned killing me. -Tear-

Just kidding. xD

Well I wonder if they're really going to do something about the problem, or are they just making the poll to make it look like they're doing something? D: I hope it is not the latter.

Nice poll title.

At what level did I first feel like quitting? 1-5, because Roumen is so awful and unregulated.

Yosei 01-16-2008 03:07 PM

I just tried to speed my way out of noobland.

Patchouli 01-16-2008 03:30 PM

Well now that I think about it, I should probably clarify the 25-32.

I first made an END cleric which I gave up (and was the bane of my existance... now deleted), the second thing I made was mage. Around that time a lot of quests started being "kill large numbers of such and such elite mob", and I didn't like that much.

It also felt to me like a lot of monsters suddenly jumped a lot in hp compared to the monsters just before them, so my soloing ability died horribly, and the novelty of "yay jobchange!" had worn off by then.

Re: Yosei - I'm pure int, but I don't really feel there's such a thing as enough damage. That aside though, I feel that it takes too long to level the licence for a miniscule improvement in damage, when the only relevant part tends to be the critical bonus anyway :(

I would agree with this. I almost quit before even killing a slime because there weren't any really good guides to help me out with controls and stuff. The only other MMORPG that I've really played is Runescape, and it's beginning stages are VERY helpful to figuring out controls and what everything means.

It must have taken me half an hour to figure out that I could pan the view with the right click! I was wandering around the general area and couldn't figure out how to get anywhere. I was the SoG sign, but didn't see the stairs at first.

I kept seeing numbers appearing as though people were attacking things... now looking back I realize that they were poisoned :)

If you've never played Runescape, I'd encourage you just to create a character and play just the intro so you can see how helpful something like that is. It would be great for Fiesta and would ensure that more newcomers stay around.

Yosei 01-16-2008 04:47 PM

Lol, I was such a nub when I first started off. I wasn't the type to yell in shout for help. I was stubborn, I was determined to figure stuff out on my own. Lets just say that little fanart I made of the adventure of a noob was inspired by true stories D: (not knowing how to use my skills, and getting stuck in my house)

FoxyBrown 01-16-2008 05:14 PM

@ Yosei, lol. Yeah, I hear you.

I think Yosei and I are perfect examples of why you should help out noobs. We all start that way.. and it's usually the ones that aren't shouting that have the most potential.

I can't count the number of people I've whispered while running past them in Roumen because they are moving "walking" on the wooden horse. "Use flotation stones!" :D But I was there once too.

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to the people that contributed to the wiki suggestions. I'd never had thought to spam on Magic missle 1 to get more attacks in as a mage... as well as several other tips that help me out.
