I've put this in the spam section since its going to put up possibly...flaming against me.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reasons why Fiesta is going down the drain....and fast Now for the record for everyone who's going to say "I haven't played the game enough" i'm a lvl 58 warrior on fiesta ( I HAVE used cash shop) and personally i've loved the game for the most part. Most of my complaints are pointed at Outspark not the game itself. 1. Bots.. These by far are extremely notorious and there hasn't been much stop to them. You can see them in most areas that are below lvl 40 and they've been plaguing fiesta for months. Outspark has not done very much at all to stop them but for the benefit of the doubt, they recently they installed Xtrap. Why am I still attacking outspark? because the bots are still there and Xtrap compromises other players who do NOT BOT OR HACK by not allowing them to play. 2. Gold Selling Inflation has taken a steep hit on the economy of fiesta because of this. Most higher leveled players barely have more then a few gold (1 million copper) pieces which can now be bought quite cheaply. (5-10 dollars a gold piece) The economy thank god is Still stable but its still suffering over time because of this. 3. Lack of influx of new players Its very sad to say this but it could be said the higher end towns (Uruga to be precise) if not more populated are equal to the starter town population. If you look around the newbie areas (or KQS) for the most part THIER VERY EMPTY. And really with the gold spammers in the starter town and few other people to play with people are only left with solo or small group grinding, who can blame them for quitting?.... Once the older players get bored and leave who will replace them so the community stays alive? 4. Outspark's focus on monetary gain With all do respect any business has the right to make a profit, but the cash shop has dramatically affected gameplay to the point that if you want to become competitive in this game you HAVE to cash shop. Some of the cash shop items give tremendous boosts advantages over no cash shoppers. (7% crit rate increase for example) Cash shop items are untradeable unfortunately so players who cannot pay are pretty much screwed. 1. In the Chinese version of fiesta you can change ur hairstyle anyway you want for free. In fiesta, your stuck with 3 base hairstyles 3 colors and 1 face style and if you to acess others, you have to pay. 2. In their last christmas event the Gms promised people prizes for random people who came in costume. The only way you can get a costume was through cash shop. While its debatable....i find it unfair. In all honestly i hope that the rumoured 11 million dollars Outspark got(http://kotaku.com/344137/outspark-ge...ames-in-the-us) would be focused on fixing both Fiesta and Sos. I don't want to see this game break down into another Knight online/E-games Please no spam ...Just an intellectual discussion...I know i set myself up for this... |
1. yeah they're annoying, but I don't find it that bad. I AM playing for free after all.
2. I thought these gold selling things were just a scam. Do you actually get what you pay for? 3. I agree. I run through Roumen and it's like it's almost empty (on Bijou anyway). 4. I also agree. But then again... you said so in the first place: they are trying to make a profit. Nothing is free. As for me... I'll happily play along for free and let other cash shoppers pay for me, even if it means not having as cool of stuff. |
1. You are playing for free....But whats the point when the bots ruin aspects of the game? IRO had severe problems like this too where actual people to play with became hard to find outside of a guild..
2. Some are scams some actually do pay.... I know quite a few people who have done it... 4. My problem is outspark from what i've seen is COMPLETELY focused on the cash shoppers. I know they (well I also pay too) pay money but should it be Cash shoppers>> to normal players in things such as events?... |
Its not just the economy in the game... its whats available to us and the speed in which we level.
Almost everyone of my friends who has quit has said its because it requires too much grinding to go on further in the game, and that all people seem to do is wanna grind. Also.. it lacks other things to do. I mean really.. we are limited, people have to come up with stuff to do. We got grinding, KQs, helping people, and just chilling in town and socializing. Not all of us are little kids or MMO noobs, we know what Fiesta could potentially have and what other MMOs have, and a lot of us started playing in hopes of seeing what Fiesta had, and in... 7 months, really gotten nothing new. Just the same stuff in different forms. |
4. I would say, from their marketing viewpoint, Yes. They want to give people reasons to spend money. And if people will splurge a few bucks for a chance to win something cool, they'll do it.
As I said... I really don't care. This is just a way for me to pass some time and have fun doing so, forget the troubles of the world for a few hours, ya know! |

Your suggesting also a social issue, which i can agree too.. Another problem is itself, a large amount of fiesta players because of outspark universalizing areas out of Japan are seperated by race, language and culture. With all do respect to all cultures, this puts BIG dividing lines between the community. Hence it becomes signifcantly HARDER to find friends to play with... anyone wanna go play domo?! XD Jk.... |
I think its just that u've played the game for a very long time and probably getting a bit bored of it and so i see all the bad side coming out...
just like how u started going out with a new gf.. u're madly in love with her and she seems perfect for the 1st 2 weeks then once u got use to her all the things u dislike starts coming out.. but it doesnt mean she's a horrible person... if u know wat i mean.. 1. Yeah they're annoying... but i only ever see them in BH and some in MT... report them so they dont get higher! 2. only a VERY small population buy gold from these dodgy sites riiiiiiight? i hope so =/ 3. if Outspark realise that they're not getting enough ppl to sign up i'm sure that'll be the 1st thing they attend to.... (more player = more revenue, they'll look at this before bot issues) And are ppl going into Bijou? its probably quite normal that new players pick the 1st server... 4. yeah they're a company not a charity, if cash items are tradable u'll hv an even worst economy hit than gold site trying to sell in game money... 1. (why is it back to 1 again HAHA) didnt they say the chinese version everyone use hacks and bots.. well u just complained about that... so would u want just 3 hair to choose from... and have everyone using hack and bots? 2. the "prize" i got from Dakkon were 3 stockings -.- i dont think the non-cash user were missing out on much gotta double post coz u guys posted too quickly for me... Quote:
Foxy answered my bijou question... but i'm sure if there's a decrease in population, outspark would ensure the marketing department get to work... |
was just discussing this with someone *cough* and there's some stuff you might add.
-ridiculous xp needed to level. I know the first time I saw that I needed 1million xp to level, I was flabbergasted. Once I found the right methods and party though, 1million wasn't really so bad. It gradually sloped upward, 1mil, 1.1mil, 1.3mil, 2mil etc. etc. Now I'm lvl60 and need about 3.4m to lvl....not so bad, then I found out that level 69 requires 11million xp.... excuse me..but did it quadruple in 9 lvls? It was hard enough getting to 60 on Stonies and Trumpys but there's no way the average person will grind to 70 on the same mobs they did 20 lvls before... -what Yos said there simply isn't anything to do in the game "game-wise", other than grind I personally think the game has amazing potential but they're releasing all the good-stuff too slowly |

And i guess ur right about the GF thing... >.>;; |
What Bright Kingdom has that we don't...
1. Battlegrounds 2. More zones 3. More KQ 4. Easier leveling system 5. Tradeable cash shop items(apparently) 6. Customizations 7. More skills 8. Houses(not mushroom houses) I'm sure all of that together equals more fun than this Fiesta =/ I think the multiple cultures is fun. You get to meet people from all over the world, and those who have a lack of perspective for the rest of the world, you get to see and hear what their life is like. Although I must admit I find it rude when people find out I'm America and then take advantage of that time to bash America and our government and our president and the "war" etc. I also think the players on this game are black and white. Those who play just to mess around, and then those who take it seriously and just want to move forward. I leveled in hopes of being able to experience new things, go to new places, try new KQ, but now, it isn't really worth it. |

Or the rediculous cash shop items that ruin PVP? Or the fact that the cash shop seems rushed while all the other game content is not in play? Quote:

I have to agree with you on most parts. Outspark (and most companies in the NA) are only concerned about short term, get rich quick schemes. If they want to survive and keep making a steady income they need to concern themselves more with their customers. If they make them happy then they don't need to worry about Cash Shop items not being sold because with good service being provided there isn't a reason not to support them. I'm always checking the news on other Fiesta versions and the thing about the other companies (well, at least the Japanese one) is that they actually compensate for a major bug/issues in and out of game play. They recently had a major update in-game where a lot of things changed... and of course you can't help but have bugs arise with it. They received feedback... took about a week or two to fix everything and even gave players free items for not being able to play at 100%. Also, if they fix something but another thing did a rollback, as soon as they found out they had an emergency patch to fix it up within a day. That is the sort of service a lot of the companies should learn from. They don't necessarily have to give free stuff... but they need to compensate for lost time even with small events (there are, afterall, paying customers too). Not only that but they need to keep people aware of what is going on. Even announcements... small ones to say they are currently working on a fix right this minute and will be ready in xx days. If you are constantly left in the dark not knowing when level 60 items will drop, of course your most dedicated players are going to be fed up and leave. |

Please .... Help me get to the promised land we know as Japanese Fiesta... |
not everyone has to PVP in Fiesta... if u're looking for a PVP game u might be playing the wrong game... (considering all we've got is a guild war where results isnt even recorded.. seems liek PVP isnt highly regarded by Fiesta atm)
cash shop item really help boost the PvE scenario though... so that's the "up side" of cash shop? i mean if non-cash players can get the same thing s cash players.. then why would cash players spend real money in game? there'll hv to be an incentive for us to pay for their salaries.... wat event thing again? the xmas event where u get random price? i said already.. i got 3 chocolate stockings from Dakkon... i dont think the non-cash players missed out on much... nor did we cash players gained much.. EDIT after reading loveless post: yeah i do hate them for promising a compensation then deleting the post and pretend they never had a fault! but.... wat can we do? |
I seriously think a GM should read this forum more often.

1. Pvp is still a gameplay element of the game. You can rationalize all you want saying the game isn't meant for it but the point is...its implimented but its BUTCHERED 2. Of course they need incentives....But in this rate you will feel FORCED by the game to buy cash shop later on |

-more balanced classes -a much more stable economy, and you are dealing with higher amounts, meaning you dont have to worry about how you're gonna save up another 5s for that skill you need next level. -NO bots -more freedom with non-gaming aspects (you can craft any item you want as long as you buy the skill, etc.) Honestly, after playing Bright Kingdom, i cant play fiesta. I just feel like i've been short changed. Quote:

Moved as requested, as long as it's not spammed up.

I totally agree. How the hell do bots even get to Uruga without being detected?
I've heard of people buying "gold", and was even accused of doing it myself. I went farming, them showed 200s to someone who was supposedly a friend, then mocked a noob (grammar of the lazy people who buy gold) "ya iZ jus bye teh gold form sites they wrok!!!1!". I guess some people can't take a joke. And I guess some people have to tell everyone they know that I did. That might have seemed the only way possible, since a lot of people didn't go to Uruga in CB. Whatever. /rant |
money plis hypar. :3

Well, you have to keep in mind that though Fiesta and Bright Kingdom is the same game Bright Kingdom has had two years of experience. Therefore the contents of Fiesta will be far less than that of Bright Kingdom. But with that being said the level of customer service is intolerable. I've recently visited the Outspark site and I see in the Announcements (at the front page) a thread that is 2 months old popping up. Another time I even saw something from September there as well.
Someone (was it Hessah) said something about promising compensation and then Outspark deleted that thread. That is just wrong, you're not a politician so do what you say you will. I have used the Cash Shop as well and I wish I had spent those dollars better now when I see how horrid things are in and out of game. And I bet you that if you started a thread like this in the official forums the GMs will just turn a blind eye... let the CL deal with it. Another picky topic about character balance. I can see how it's a tricky situation but to ask for opinions about it in the general forums is much too chaotic. Everyone is going to say their class is underpowered or another class is overpowered. But why the heck are they asking the people now when the problems listed in their polls have, in fact, been addressed more than enough times (some just a rant) on the forums. Instead of dragging on the process they should just set up a schedule and work on an actual timeline to bring players what they need most to enjoy the game. They need to show the public at least a vague outline of what they will be working on throughout the year... a list. They don't even give out what they fix in detail... or even fix what they say they would. |
Bright Kingdom might have 2 years experience
But its been around 25% of that 2 years atm...and looking at the current status with all the bugs bots, game play problems, i would find it a stretch to say we have 10% the gaming experience they have in BK |
They probably didn't have all of that stuff developed when they released the game in Korea, but then kept developing as the game went on. That doesn't mean it should be the same for us.
|
I expect I'll get lots of tl;dr after this, but whatever:
<Wall of Text> Note: See bottom of post if you're that lazy. First of all, I'll hit on the bots. The high leveled community (myself included) does not feel the presence of bots at all. There are none in Uruga, Forest of Slumber, Concealed Prison, Ancient Elven Woods, whichever map you choose. I'm aware that there are floods of bots, myself encountering no less than twenty in Sea of Greed when playing on an alt. However, it kills the game for newcomers and low leveled players, which means that eventually, like stated, Fiesta will fall. Secondly, gold sellers. RMTs, as they are commonly known, are annoying for those who work hard for their gold. The figures aren't quite correct here, it's around $3 USD for 100s, and $30 USD for one gold. Can they be assed to do it and check? No, that's "grunt" work, and GMs are far above such "grunt" work. Not much more I can say here, let's move on. Thirdly, the lack of new players is largely due to the absence of caring GMs, CMs, or CSRs. Don't give me some bullshit answer that they are active; they aren't. Simple as that. I was a Closed Beta 1 tester, and Bla~ahs was too. I'm sure she can confirm that Outspark staff are about 1/100 as active as they were during testing. I understand that they have other pressing concerns, but I highly doubt it's necessary to remain in invisible mode the whole time. Break, Guntrix, dschang, Kezzerdrix and the old crew are rarely seen, if at all, by Fiesta players. Kezzerdrix left Outspark, that's understandable. Break posts more frequently in Technical Support and Secret of the Solstice, Guntrix is gone too, and dschang never posts anywhere. Some of you may argue that Jagex Ltd, the creator of Runescape, is active. They're not, see below. Q: "Jagex is active! They ban bots daily!" How can you say that? A: Jagex only talks to those "chosen" few, their Player Moderators. Yes, they give constructive feedback to them, but only them. They have secret meetings that only Player Moderators can attend, and if partycrashers show up, they get teleported somewhere else. These secret meetings are called "surgeries." Bet you didn't know that, did ya? How do I know this? Once upon a time, I was a Runescape nerd, and yes, I was a Player Moderator. One of the first 200, if I recall correctly. Fourthly, all companies have that drive. I'll use numerous examples to prove my point. The game many find pathetic that people play, Runescape, was run by one of such companies, which is named Jagex. In an effort to "protect" their users from RMTs, Jagex created a trade limit. In short, players were not allowed to trade if one trader's offer differed by a value 30k gold of the other's offer. The limit of 30k is the equivalent of 3s in terms of Fiesta currency. That sounds confusing, so I'll redefine into Fiesta terms. Assume a +9 weapon is valued at 900s. However, the NPC value is worth 30s. Thus, you would only be able to purchase it from a price range of 27s-33s. Sounds stupid, doesn't it? They implicated it anyways. Another is ijji. For those of you from MAIET Entertainment, aka GunZ: The Duel, the GunZ service was once upon a time good. Then they signed a contract with ijji to host. Now, ijji plays a tune very similar to Outspark: if you want to make your life easier, spend about $100 USD and you're set for a year. Armor sets are roughly $10 USD for 3 months, and if you factor premium meds, there's an additional $5 USD you spend for 12 months. Also, the best shotgun in the game is worth $12 a year, and in a game where just about everyone uses shotguns, many people buy this. So basically, your yearly payout comes down to the following: 4($10) + 12($5) + ($12) = $112 USD. I was optimistic, I guessed less. If you stay around that long, you pay another $112 USD, and so on. They don't care if you quit, they've made your money already. Conclusion for the lazy people: 1) Bots running around unchecked gradually decreases the new gaming population. Does Outspark seem to care? Not really. They have "better" things to do than merely "banning" bots. 2) Outspark bans RMT trading, but they can't be assed to do "grunt" work, which involves running around in the three servers banning gold spammers, and can't be assed to check IPs for those people who suddenly gain gold with no apparent work. 3) Outspark staff inactivity is as low of that of Jagex, ijji, Nexon, Gala-Net, or whatever company you pick. It's inevitable, just hope that Outspark doesn't develop their present illness into a disease. 4) Money makes the world turn around. Fact of life. Outspark has to make money somehow. Notice the ads? Or how much a mount costs? It may not seem like much, but you pay $6.54 for a raccoon a month. No, I'm not encouraging a boycott, or trying to be a martyr, or being a badass, or trying to force my opinion upon you. I'm laying the statistics out for you, and I'll let you judge and make your own opinions. Yes, there will be biased comments in there; it doesn't matter what you read, you'll end up with biased comments from the author. </Wall of Text> <run flamingcomments.exe> <run flameshield.exe> <run tl;dr> |
i think Jap/Korea/HK companies are more serious about their business than western countries... like my aunt (in HK) said that she got told off for not responding to an email in 5 mins.... where as fos us Aussies here its "you will hear from us in 48 hrs" and still nothing happens...
Its a bit about wat's "acceptable"... if BK stuffed up and they dont attend to it... Jap ppl have so many other options, they'll just go play on a different game... where as the impression i've got from Outspark is that their GM are a bit half-ass about things and nothing happens.... i wish we can MAKE something happen... but i really dont hv a clue now.. all we can do is spam up their PM box but they might just end up ignoring us... but in the end.. apart from the server downs.... my gaming experience is still quite good... its not perfect and they've got HEAPS of room to improve... but its not so bad that u cant play happily.... |
