If I remember correctly, when I first learned about the mining, I COULD NOT stop! No lies here. From levels 5-12, I would practically live in the mines. I'd gather 10-12 sets (set = 50 pc.) of low. qual. copper ore, and I'd just amass SOOOO much copper! Anyone else here who loves to mine?

I mean, you get Blessed Xirs (or was it Lix?.. can't remember) and stuff like that. =3 I only got one but that was actually during the 3x drop event.. sooo not sure if it was because of that. xD

You can get Xir from the mines?! I'm gonna mine even more now! lol

What monsters drop them? Phinoflies or Magebooks?

Yea, mining was fun. I remember when Me, Lild, Kuhn, FeaR, and Sync went to the Silver Mines. Got a whole bunch of Rubies and Silver ores.

You don't get them from the mobs theres a chance of 1 dropping along with the minerals you're mining.

Where are silver mines located and what lvl do you have to be to survive?

The Silver mine is located on moonlight tomb in eldrine just look at the map! But i wouldn't recommend to go there solo! there are "Arc Mages Book" in the entrance and "earth prock" in the inner side! and plus going there is not easy because of all the monster blocking the way! lol

I recommend lvl 34+ if you want to go there and with a party! =)

i didnt like mining at the start because i kept getting owned by the phinos lol...

You should mine at the narrow places on the map. There's no phino's there but a lot of rocks to mine. You'll just have to get past one or two phinos to get to the narrow places, but once you get past, you shouldn't need to put up with any more. Even if you have to, it would be just one and you wouldn't have a problem if you're high level enough to kill them.

heh now that im at a lvl high enuff to kill them i just go around killing as many phinos around the place im mining as i can.

Lol I wasted Vitality buffs in the mines...just to mine.

When I went in the mine for the first time to kill a skeleton I was going to tele back, but there is always two phinos behind the npc and one of them agro on me and killed me >.> But now i'm too high of a lvl for them to agro me *loving it* ad the books are easy for me to kill so I just run around the mine when I'm bored XD!

It's alright, but it got boring quickly. I like the music inside, though.

mining can be ok, but it can get rather boring after all...I mean you can only get 4 different drops!

Still, it's worth it! During the weekend of the 3x drop rate, I picked up at least 9 sets of topaz and ALOTTA high qual. copper. During an average run in the mines(I stay there for like 5 hours+), I can make close to 8 silver....

I don't know if it's worth it then o.o But i think the easiest way to make some quick cash is mining I guess :o

How long does a run last, or do you mean that you earn 8s in 5+ hours.

When you stay there for several hours and say you make several silver, do you sell it in your shop, or do you npc it all?

If I did that I'd npc it since currently the only use for it is for a couple of quests but it's not hard to complete those and they aren't repeats

Both, per se. A "normal" run for me is like 6-7 hours. I don't always get the same amount of high qual. and regular copper ore, and topaz is even harder to come by. I wish I could make 8s in 5+ hours! That'd be awesome. My average is 6-7s (I get sooo close to 8 though!) ;)

I NPC the low qual. ore I obtain(I can amass this stuff hella) and regular copper ore. No one seems to want to buy that. High qual. copper ore I sell in Roumen, and I sell Topaz in Elderine. I can get alot of silver from topaz. Like, I once had 39 pcs. of topaz @ 1 s a piece. Best believe I made 39 silver! I went to the mines again and sold 24 pieces of topaz @ 2 s. I Made 48 silver 16 seconds! ;)

topaz is needed for stone production right?

Yes, its needed for xir(1) and xir(2). Think xir(3) is rubies.

I see, then I understand why people would want it. I never understood why people love to try and get +7-9 when they spend more money trying to make them then selling them

Heh, i upgraded my sword to +7 for the extra damage, more worthwhile in later lvls than 1-39 imo. But 1 thing I'll add is that I'll never pay 1-2s for topaz.

Is Topaz the one that makes the box around it outlined in yellow? And what's the one that's outlined in blue?

^ Don't think I've seen a drop with a blue outline. Topaz looks like a burnt piece of fried turkey w/ glitter, and a yellow border! :p

Rubies, don't even cost 1s. Also, 8s in 6-7 hours? That's pretty bad. I earn about 3s every solo run in Marlones which last about 30 minutes each

what Marlones? Fighters, Archers, the fat dudes, or Marlone the boss or what? x.x

Ok, so I'm guessing the one on the bottom line is Topaz, the item in the box with the yellow outline is Regular Copper, the item in the box outlined in green is High Quality Copper, and the one in the white outline is Low Quality Copper. Is that right? X_x

who knows, I forgot but I know what you are talking about. :P it's not that important to know right now anyways I guess

White outline = Low Quality, Yellow outline = Regular, Green outline = High Quality, this goes for all kind of materials.


I've also went to mine some copper and silver ore when i hit lv41 and was sick of lvling. xD It was fun lol.
Also on lvl3xs i've found a relatively safe place in LS2 where i could mine silver ore (i didn't know about silver mines back then). Spent some time there too. xD

Btw, i was around lvl10-15 when i've foind tier2 blessed xir from copper ore. ^^

there are silver mines!? I probably can't go cause the monsters will kill me T-T

I make more money grinding than i would mining or using other production skills really.
