If this is a joke, >___> If this isn't, then D= Kurten, please don't be so rude ... But do try finding a hobby? Something you're good at, something that you want to do. Something that'll make you like yourself =) I know that I'm really easy to please, so I try to get some fun stuff on my mind like playing Fiesta everyday and then do my homework so I can get good grades and also feel nice. I don't have much to relate to your experience, so I can't say much. But please stop hurting yourself if you are. =D And kurten, please don't double post. EDIT // And I actually find the forums a nice place to hang out. Nobody knows who I am and what I do, so it's a cool break for being constantly under judgement. Don't be afraid to vent out your anger. Kurten was being a little rude. Stay maybe on forums, find a group that you like to talk to ^^ Or talk to your guildies about random stuff, lol. It just gets stress off your mind >__> |

How old are you, Frozen? Just trying to get the idea what your school's work load should be. How are you friends managing with school work? Are they stressed like you? Why do you try to be perfect? There is no need to be perfect, you should really just try your best, and do the best you can. Teachers often stress you to freak you out, just so that the people who don't work hard will work harder. Sometimes it's probably not as hard as teachers make it sound to be. I mean, if they really do mean it, then half the year should be failing, right? And that doesn't happen, right? Have you tried talking to your parents? What do they say? Or perhaps, talk to a teacher you like, or a school counsellor. Friends are great to turn to, but sometimes, with things related to school work, someone older (or someone not in the same situation as you) may help you out more. |
You don't have to excel in every single thing you do. If you're really stressed, ditch the unimportant things and focus on the important things. And then fill the unimportant thing spot with just time to relax or sleep .____. |
i dont have much friends around
and my classmates just take the easy way out which happens to be copying my homework i get isolated in school and i'm 16 this year taking N lvls and O lvls next year i didnt want to talk to any adults as i didnt want to be worried about me for the reason i'm trying to be perfect is not really sure... i just keep telling myself to be better, and even if i improve, i'll say it's not enough... and someone just told me i'm emo-ing -_- and i was like huh? that's emo? time to get off the comp homeworks are queueing up |

As for your friends copying your homework, you will need to find a way to say no. I know it's hard to say no without them disliking you for it, but hey, they'll have to get used to it. I don't like my friends copying off me either. I sometimes let them copy, I make sure that it doesn't happen all the time. |

Getting that much homework is crazy. I mean, if you don't even have time to do leisure activities, there is something wrong with your teachers.
|
o_________o Are you exaggerating when you say people copy your work? |
I would talk to my parents about this, or maybe a school couselor. It is not okay that you're suffering like this from the school work.
And like others have said before me, you do not have to be perfect. Nobody is, and nobody will be. You'll only be putting yourself under (too) much stress to try and be perfect. Everyone has flaws, and there is nothing wrong with that. I dunno if you're just trying to pass or try getting the highest grade possible. If it's the latter, take a step back and go for passing it. |
I think you really need to vent your anger/stress/frustrations on something. You'll feel better afterwards. Try going bowling, play some tennis or baseball, go paintballing. Put all that anger into a ball and fire away!

Hurting yourself never helps you. It just adds scars and more physical pain. Maybe you should seek professional help, cuz quite honestly.. as you get older, stress just gets worse, you just need to learn how to take it on, and handle it. No offense but I have little sympathy for people who resort to stuff like cutting themselves and suicide as a way to get out of stuff, my reasons I will keep to myself because I've pissed off a lot of people in the past for it.
I know how you feel, I developed panic anxiety around the end of my Junior year in High School and I still have it. I had a lot of stuff on my plate.. I had been screwed over in a lot of classes, I was babysitting my sisters kids when I wasn't in school, I rarely had time to do homework, I had to do it in the mornings or stay in the library after school, I was running 2 clubs at school, I wanted to apply to my college of choice, which I ultimately got screwed over with, but at the same time, I was being pressured to move to Michigan with my parents, away from my goals, and do what my parents wanted and needed. But, not once did I ever resort to or think of something drastic like phsyically mutilating myself. I suggest you try to work out some system, and get some professional help, or even go to a councilor at school. Thats what I did a lot.. my councilor at school would let me go to a meeting room there and just cry til I was ready to go back to class. Sometimes..(I suggest it, but don't abuse it) I'd just skip class, if I was desperate enough. Like.. one of my teachers would give us projects and 3 days to do it.. I'd skip his next class, go to my friends aunts house with her, and work on my stuff then. |
Ok, school work, manage your time well. Here's my guide thingy, hope this might help you or anyone else with stress problems with homework.
with stress problems with homework. I made this because it helped my older bro, others, and I when I get stress. 1. Stay after school a bit and ask your teachers about your homework, they will help you answer them. If your teachers don't help you, they are weird~_~+, teachers are suppose to help students. 2. Once return home, take a nice shower. Yep, a nice shower does work :), gets rid of some stress somehow, it worked for me, my older brother, and many of my friends, even some of my teachers said this way works. 3. After shower, dry yourself up, then you should start doing your homework. If you are still feeling a bit stressed, drink something hot, not coffee though, I think coffee makes your too hyper :/, something hot like hot milk or tea. 4. Drinking something hot while doing your homework helped me doing it easier somehow. 5. If you are still stress, take a nap, then do your homework. 6. Never not do any homework, they'll stack up and make your more stressful, do the ones that's due earliest. 7. Sleep early, like at 10:00 PM, 10:30 PM, 11:00 PM latest. Make sure to get full 8 hour of sleep. 8. Don't play games, like if you lose, you'll get more stress and want to kill someone. Experienced it, I threw my old xbox controller out the window because someone killed my 20+ killing spree in Halo2 in xbox live :(. |
There is one thing you could do it helped me alot and lessened my workload
I'd ask my classmates to hold some kind of "group study" but in my case homework.we would go to someones place..usually mine -_-...and we would seperate the work we did only if the homework they gave is too many then we would do stuff like this and if we couldnt meet we would just plan and seperate the homework and do it in our own homes and by the next day we would meet early to explain the assigntment to one another it helped me alot and relieved alot of stress |
Have you even tried getting psychological help?
Um... Do you do drugs? >.> |
If its homework issues.. here's some tips.
1. Start it in class. I don't know about you, but in my classes, we had a period in time where we didn't do anything because it was almost time to leave. It was like 10 minutes. I'd start my homework then. And then on the way to the next class.. I'd do a little more before the bell rings and class begins. 2. Get a homework buddy, not group, groups tend to get distracted. 3. Stay after school. At my school, we could stay back in the library and do work. Or if the teacher who assigned you the homework stays back, ask if you can stay back and do it then. 4. Work THEN play. I grew up on that. Even when I was in elementary school, I was not allowed to do squat til my homework was done. But in High School, when I got home.. I wouldn't do it right away. Take some time to relax. Have a snack, turn on some music, just sit there and breathe for a second. |
Your situation sounds like my little sister's. She wasn't the smartest student in class but she did try. Most often she wasn't 'perfect' enough so she stressed out often. But the good thing in her case was she would have a tantrum and everything would be fine after that. I'm not tell you to have a tantrum or whatever but it just means you need to tell your worries to a person.
I suppose at that age you wouldn't think about telling your parents but in the end they are the ones who will really care about you. That's what I've been told. You could have close friends but your family grew up with you and know you the most... it never hurts to just talk to them. If you're not easy talking to your parents then your school counselor is a great help. They have studied to help students not only with school but with things outside that such as students stressing out. I found that during high school the best thing to do was to take up a sport. I've played basketball all throughout my high school life and it's great to get your body moving because it helps to relieve your stress and forget the troubles. And though forums are a nice place to vent it's best you talk to someone in person... who would know you a little bit more personally. |

to sleep better... do some exercise (stretch, sit ups, push ups and stuff nothing too hard), then go for a hot shower... then sit in bed and read a book / magazine for 15 mins.. before you try going to sleep... this helps relax your body and brain.... i know if i was studying for a mad exam, or playing fiesta too much... i'll sleep with my mind thinking of the exam topic or pictuer myself playing Fiesta (0.o).... which can garantee u a bad night of sleep... my mum also said banana help release stress.. so maybe u can have one before u go for a shower =) u have to think of an alternative way to distract urself from hurting urself... close ur eyes and meditate for a lil bit... find a pen and draw circles on a piece of paper or something... |
Don't watch TV or play videogames before bed either, spend an hour away from them. Reading is the best thing to do before bed. Usually I read mangas, they're simple things to read, and they're quick. Its relaxing, and it tires your eyes.

Well... as my Phsyc prof said... the bedroom should not have TVs and/or computers. The room is for you to sleep and have... er... 'make love'.
And studies have showed that instead of cramming 3-4 hours straight with no break. You should be studying in increments. Say you set a time to study for an hour... take a 15 minute break, even 10 minutes to have a snack or strech. Then resume studying. After you're done... don't do anything else (ie. Fiesta, read, TV...) and go straight to bed. You'll be able to retain what you had studied much better than just cramming or stressing over your workload. |
