What do you guys use to make your sigs?

I'm just making this thread to see what programs or apps. you guys use to make your sigs. Currently, I'm using Fireworks 9, Gimp, and PCS3.

Niion 07-12-2007 05:17 AM

Is the person in your sig chinese or korean? :o

Blaaaaaaaah 07-12-2007 05:33 AM

Haha she's Korean ^^

I was making a lot of siggies a while ago, so I'm bored of it atm, that's why I have no new siggies recently. D: I'm thinking of making one with Super Junior in it but yeah, always out of ideas. @.@"

NavMan 07-12-2007 10:08 AM

If you didn't detect the sarcasm, then uFail.

Pritcher 07-12-2007 11:28 AM

I've never tried making a sig, if I did I suppose I'd start with PSCS2
I haven't tried the cs3 version yet how is it?

lol, poor Adobe. I wonder how much money they lose every year to theft/piracy. Well when they charge 2,499 USD  for their latest suite people will obviously prefer to get it for free.

Blaaaaaaaah 07-12-2007 11:35 AM

I heard CS3 is good because it also lets you play around with video files or something... but I can't really remember what the guy said! He just said it was better, lol.

It's solid. Most of the sigs that I make have ALOT of vector images, so I mainly use Fireworks. I go to CS3 when I need to engender some overlays for the images or to just spam filters! lol

I wish I knew! I'd like to start messin' with some video.

Anyone else here kinda mad about Adobe's acquisiton of Macromedia? I like Fireworks 8 SOOO much more than 9.

+Tequila+ 07-12-2007 06:52 PM

I tried CS3 it has a bit more tools but i still prefer CS2 lol...not quite sure why But i just feel more comfortable with it I suppose.

Belaslav 07-12-2007 07:53 PM

Has anyone ever heard of Corel Draw 11?

Pritcher 07-12-2007 08:41 PM

Yeah I know of Corel, I prefer Adobe's stuff in general though. Mostly because it's more popular so it's easier to find help from someone who knows the product or to find an existing tutorial. I might compare and contrast one day.

I haven't really used their graphics stuff enough to judge, but I do like the Ulead VideoStudio video editors and Corel has acquired that from Intervideo. I haven't tried the Corel version yet and I use Adobe Premier for the most part but VS has some effects and transitions that aren't available in Premier. It'll be interesting to see how the new version stacks up to Premier with Corel backing it now.

Yes i do have to admit... i use photobucket.
Partly cause im waaaaaaay to lazy to make a sig. and plus, im not to familiar with the program.
I took a video editing class and we kinda used it but.... thats all.
And tutorials are boring. haha....

Niion 07-13-2007 05:09 AM

the only thing i dont like about CS2 is when you undo a brush stoke it goes back to the previous layer =/

Kitager 07-13-2007 03:15 PM

^ Yea, I feel your pain. You what else can be frustrating? If you set the threshold of the history tab to 10 actions instead of 30! Oh the pain!! lol

Skeith 07-13-2007 03:19 PM

i dont know how to use CS2! lol

4swordlink 07-14-2007 01:09 AM

Yeah I reckon! I get so angry when I worked hard on colouring/shading/whatever, only to find that it was on the wrong layer in the end! Sighh!

Kwan 07-15-2007 02:43 AM

I had nothing better to say and PSP alone was too short to be accepted as a post.

CS2 is nice. Give it a go! ;)

I suppose no one here likes working with vector renders....
I haven't seen anyone post about Fireworks other than me! :\

01chans 07-20-2007 01:20 PM

I have Photoshop but I rarely use it... For one, its in Chinese and I am clueless about what to click.
Gimp is confusing too, but the lightings are amazing... My personal favorite is the Sparkle and SuperNova <-- used those for my MSSC poster :D
Does anyone here have MGI Photosuite? Its the best! (Read: best = simple)

PS> What is CS#?
