Exp-O-Meter
When i was grinding these weekend, i thought about how much exp i was doing per minute and per hour. After all i have to grind several hours just to a level. Until now i uses a buff measure 10 or 30min and the exp i get. But thats inaccurate, like when i forgot how much exp i had.
So i started thinking about a tool that could capture the exp gained, and generate a graph that shows when and how much exp i make additionally the average exp per hour. Until now i only proved that it is technically possible. And i want to know if there is an interest in such a tool. If i get enough positive feedback i will contact outspark and speak about the project. |
I wouldn't complain about it. The only thing that might bother people is that if they realize how much exp they get and how long it took them to level it might discourage them a bit =\

yeah, the grind in fiesta isn't the easiest i have seen lol
|
Ha. Try Flyff then you'll say its easy xD
|
grinded, when mush started, in the first week 1-60 straight ^^"
But flyff is not part of the discussion, let us return on topic:) |
Yeah, might be neat.

You could do it manually, just open Notepad and write something like:
5:00 - 2000 exp 6:00 - 5235 exp 7:00 - 8420 exp Granted, that's not an automated program, but it would give you a general idea. |
*cue the eerie/though provoking music...
If you build it, they will come... |

I like that idea. Sounds good if you can get outspark to go with it. |

Its also a bad choice to grind 1h just to notice u are way slower, then somewhere else. I also noticed that people like high values, without ever thinking about the risk of dying or that faster kills with lower exp may result in more exp. But until i don't see much interest is the exp-o-meter, but it looks like u guys love to whine about the exp in flyff. And i cant understand it, after all the grind in flyff is easier then in fiesta, if u use the correct strategy. |
I would love to see a tool like this. I often wonder, as you said, if I'm getting more XP by killing green monsters in high volumes, or is it worth it to burn a couple silver in pots and hp/sp stones to train on something yellow or even orange. Or what about in a party?
These are the questions I thirst for an answer to, and your tool would be it! And yes, I have no interest in taking the time to do it manually. I'd rather just grind :-) |
I think the exp in this game is better than flyff. Might not be but I really think it is. .09% at lvl 81 from the best possible mobs is just god awful. I dont think fiesta is that bad.
I would use this exp thing for a day, then I would just forget to use it after that. |
i could make you one that measures the dots by using a screen reader and when notepad has focus it will write time and xp since the script started. its too much effort to read the orange line acurately.
edit: i could maybe put 3 read points of the orange line to give you 25% 50% and 75% until next dot. if there is interest i will consider it. |
