Mysterious Buff?
When i was resting in the Sea of Greed (still in my house) a buff that "Increases Maximum HP and Maximum SP" just appeared on my buff list for 59 minuits. there was noone around me to cast anything, i didnt use any items, and i didnt cast anything(im a mage anyway so i couldnt of) X.x... was wondering if anyone knows what this is? it doubled both my HP and SP
edit: i guess i just didnt see anyone around - there was a cleric running around buffing everyone and he must of gotten me and run away before i saw him |
It is a very sneaky buff given to you by level 47+ clerics.

I'd like to get a couple of these mysterious buffs.

LOL @ iDerrick xD Alot of people do this voluntarily, and they're really nice. They'd run around and give those buffs to anyone that says please or thankyou, or they just give it to anyone in sight .__. -coughladylokievengavethebufftobotsoncecough- |
i usually stop to dispel if i run by anyone that's red/etc. ^^;

I absolutely Love this buff and have the greatest admiration to those that give it to us noobs randomly :D I wish we knew who gives it... I hate getting it and not seeing who... I feel bad not being able to thank them lol But I wont complain about the fly-by-buffings :P

its so much fun to see lower level's HP double, triple or even... 10x their original Hp XD
esp the level 1 & 2... their HP go from 47 to 447 LOL! |

Lady-Loki is bad about this. As she runs to where ever she is going, she will buff everyone along the way.

yeah i buffed a bot once by accident
(about 10 mins after i got my skill) so now i'm a lil bit more reluctant at buffing lvl 2x-3x clerics... i always make them talk to me 1st LOL |

I got mysterious buffs today! I never realized them until they were down to 26 minutes. And during the time it took me to type this post with my beloved buffs, I was in sea of greed getting mobbed by my train and eventually died. But thanks to whoever buffed me, I have a feeling its one of you forum lurkers.

I got them before, and there was no one around me except a lone figher... Weird.

the buff can be casted from quite a distance away =)

I thought you could only buff those in your party?

It depends on the buff.
I think Protect and Resist are used in parties. HP/SP is for anyone. =D |

i dont always stop to rev if they're near a town gate.... in fact... i've seen ppl that's like 10 sec away from a town gate (usually in CP) asking for rev =/ i find that a bit strange.. just spawn and walk back! |
Some of them shouldn't even be there in the first place. =/

I once had serious lag and asked to be reved about 20 secs away from the portal ... and someone called me a noob and told me to get off my high horse and friggin walk from eld to moonlight tomb. >_____________________>" Moonlight Tomb = good place to get random buffers xD There's so many people lvl 47+ that's going through, and they help heal me a little when they see me in trouble. Then I say thank you and they place a buff on me, and I realize they're lvl 47+ .____. |
The animation of the buff can be cancelled by jumping, so if the player buffs from a distance and then immediately jumps u will recieve the buff but not see anything.
I rather not buff people random people i dont know though, unless they are kind or have helped me or my frens, or unless they know how to ask in a polite way and with manners, for u will never know who... or what... you are buffing. and i dont heal people in town unless they have like 1hp. stop being so cheap and go buy a house and heal urself. |
I like to disspell people. I will hop off my rider to disspell them, then jump back on and take off again. Unless they are in town.

LOL! A lot of mages like dispelling xD I've seen a guy just standing at the ice vivis place in MT (where people normally get slowed down =__=" I hate that debuff) and just debuff. An hour later I still see him there, LOL xD There's nice people in the world. =) and bored people. |

i cant be bothered reading the next two pages of the thread to reach the end, so sorry if somebody has said this. But at one point everybody in FoM was getting a buff at the same time, everybody on the whole map. Its happened to me in FoM more than once. I hang out there more than any of the other low levels. Its a map thing, like EVERYBODY had one starting at the same time, and its possible thats what happened in SoG.
