Nature's Protection
What exactly does it do? Lower your threat level so you won't get aggroed? If thats what it is, then it really isn't working for me, or I just don't notice it working. I only use it because it looks all nice and special effecty xD
It only works if there is someone else near you, for example, your party members. It doesn't quite work when you're running away from a mob with nobody around... you're still the only target the mob has. A lot of people think this skill is useless because they probably use it when a mob suddenly starts chasing them.
Also, it works better when there is someone attacking the mob as well... such as a fighter's Snear/Mock or just basic attack. So you'll use it while in a party and you accidentally draw aggro. Then the mob will go back to the fighter. |

Try not to do it if you're partying with a mage. >_> |

This skill sounds more useless and troublesome than it actually does to help..

It's only useful if you're in a party, especially during KQs.
It only works within the circle. So all the flashy lights and the circle on the ground, it only works if the mob is in there and someone else is around you. |
Oh okay, thanks! It all makes sense now.
Trust me, it saves your butt when you've got the Mini Dragon on you. :P But the other time all my DoT skills were on it so it wouldn't leave me alone even with NP and fighters mock/kicking it.
Yeah, its been helping me a lot during Mara KQs
with ur dot on it, and it has ALREADY chased u do not bother to NP
it wont go away lol run a few steps, then NP more then a few actually Tactic to use it Poison! (at melee range) cast NP (infront of the mob while tanker is tanking) enjoy attacking |
Oh trust me I've tried everything to get that Dragon off me. At times without DoT... still, the bosses love archers.
"Loveless is new tank!" >.> |
So NP only works on melee mobs right?
It works on all mobs. She only said melee "range"... which would be right beside the monster.
Here... this is what I wrote on Outspark forums... I think it's a pretty good explanation ^^
Nature's Protection aka "Ks repellant" When a n00b comes to Ks the archer, archer simply waits for said n00b to hit creature. Archer then casts Nature's Protection, monster ignores archer, kills said n00b ks'er, and then... you have your own monster again, and ks'er is out 1% xp ^^ That skill pwns... I wish I had something like that. |

I feel guilty for every time I use it now because I LOL when I pass an aggro to like a party member during a KQ, and the person dies xD. *walks away* doop de doo*
It becomes "useless" in higher levels because if you use this during AOE parties... it'll go straight to the mage or cleric.
Nature's Protection allows archers to be pro bot killers. <---- In the words of my brother D:
But bots just heal D:
If you pull a high enough mob they'll die D< HAHA
That's when you pull something like the King Coll to kill them. :D
Bots actually heal really slowly... they dont know how to spam heal... (but they can spam ads =/)
i've been watching a few to see how they work XD but i tried pulling a train, then do a NP near the mobs and they dont really go off onto the bot unless the bot was hitting it... (this is on my archer of coz, in case anyone was confused) |

Nature's Protection?
Do you get it from a quest? Bc I though I read here somewhere u had to get it from a quest or something? Or do I have to buy it?
u can buy it OR get it from quest... i think the quest starts from the NPC in Elderine that u buy archer skills from, and the quest takes u to the NPC in FoM and u gotta talk to it and kill procks and stuff i think.. i cant remember exactly wat u had to do...
If u cant be bothered doing the quest (though i highly recommend u do) u can buy it from Merchant Nina in elderine using ur Fame points... |
