Stuck at lvl20 job change
 

Im sorta stuck at the part where I have to kill any monster in the forest of mist, because any of them supposedly drops the "shadow key". Well I've been there for about 2 hours killing everything from green minikys(sp?) to grave robbers and none of them have dropped me this key. Any suggestions?

I'd stick to killing ratman. Its never taken me long to get it, but its random.

What they heck? It's taken you 2 hours? Must be the horrendous drop rate affecting it or something. Any mob in the Forest of Mist is supposed to drop it. Like Yosei suggeted, you can try the Ratmen or Boars. For me sniping at Mini Greenkies and Phinos dropped it within 5 minutes. O.o

Seriously, I have terrible luck. It hasn't dropped yet. x__x

I got mine within the first 2 ratmen so you must have TERRIBLE luck

On all my characters it took 2 Ratmen, tops.
For my main it was the first drop.

First make sure you actually have the quest, then give up the quest and get it again, then just keep killing ratmen

What should I do then, if I happened to be bugged? D:

So now how am I suppose to defeat my shadow who has about 4k more hp than I do?

It's really easy, scrolls, hp pots, and full stones.

All you need really.

Buy some. I suggest defense, evasion, HP and SP scrolls. We have a job change guide somewhere on the wiki.

I would say you dont need any scroll. Casue Perastis did it without any scrolls. Just dont get too confident with your shadow, he might crit more often than you expect.

I would say if you have scrolls all you need is 15-20 crystals and pots, depending on your xp with the game.

I dont have any money lol. I bought the level 20 bow prior to job change, and I just realized that I get the lvl20 bow as a reward. I would've bought scrolls but I cant now D:. I'll just ask someone for buffs before I go back in to do it again. Maybe I'll get lucky this time.

**My last attempt was fail. I had an hp scroll and a damage scroll. I didnt have any buffs and I made it all the way to the last room. Killed all 4 of whatever the clone threw at me. Started attacking my clone and all of a sudden one of the stone things that I killed spawns again and I get double teamed. So I stood there fighting back spamming between hp pots and hp stones and still ended up dying x__x. This is rather sad and hopeless >_>

I would unequip your armor and bow at least, at the end of the light. I would also kill the Marlone archer and Marlone... megaton (?) that is hiding in the corners of the first dark room.

I'll try that tomorrow, I got pissed failing that quest too many times today. xD

Finally completed it! thanks for the help everyone. Btw, what do most archers usually prefer? bows or crossbows?

Omg I got my shadow key only killing 5 mobs, please be sure you have the quest first or is never take 2 hours for getting it. :P
