Many have been asking about GM_Steam's absence recently. Unfortunately, GM_Steam is no longer with us. The abundance of creativity he illustrated in the office never went unnoticed. In-game, many appreciated his kindness, some feared his monster spawning, but his determination to always better the user experience will be remembered by all.

However, information in regards to GM_Steam no longer being with us will not be publicized. Outspark wishes to protect the privacy of GM_Steam and we at Outspark can assure you that the level of service will not degrade with his absence. We hope you respect our decisions and as always, thank you.

Those who wish to say their goodbyes, feel free to reply to this message and we will ensure GM_Steam receives them.

It may be byebye to Fiesta, but it doesn't have to be byebye on FiestaFan ^o^ Riiiiiiiiight? *glares at Izahead*

There will be a member-made event for Steams departure on Wednesday the 26th in Apoline. Time is unknown.

Note: This is not a Ding-Dong the GMs gone celebration thread <.< Please be respectful.

fullback 12-23-2007 03:50 AM

Unexpected. He is by far one of the most active Gm's I have ever known.

Valentines 12-23-2007 03:52 AM

Strange, wonder why he's leaving.

Yosei 12-23-2007 03:59 AM

We'll never know, unless he tells us. But I think we should respect his privacy and not ask.

Valentines 12-23-2007 04:00 AM

Well ya, but i'm still curious.

Yosei 12-23-2007 04:02 AM

There's a rumor going around, but I won't believe what players say.

Valentines 12-23-2007 04:03 AM

Obviously not lol.

That's just not smart if you do.

Enraya 12-23-2007 04:09 AM

D= he seemed to be pretty active ... and funny xD

Sad to see him go.

Loveless 12-23-2007 04:15 AM

Aw, that's sad to hear... he really was the most active GM on Fiesta and was really great. I'm going to miss him. :(

It may be the noobs giving him a hard time about events and whatnot. *shakes fist* D:

Yosei 12-23-2007 04:17 AM

We should make him become more active here. So it isn't really gone. I'm sure he could still help us in some ways.

Izanagi 12-23-2007 04:28 AM

I am not supposed to be commenting on the situations so yeah...

Yosei 12-23-2007 04:37 AM

Okiday ^^

Blaaaaaaaah 12-23-2007 05:19 AM

Yah, you can always stay on FiestaFan even if you're not playing Fiesta. xD

G'luck with everything.

Yosei 12-23-2007 05:30 AM

Yeah, you better stick around, or else o.o *hasn't thought about the or else yet*

I'm sure you've seen but... just in case:

http://outspark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32814

And of course, it can't really be a going away party if you're not there... *shifty eyes*

Kreain 12-23-2007 06:13 AM

didnt his sig used to say Steam not Munin ?

Ralath 12-23-2007 06:25 AM

yes. More specifically, GM_Steam.

I think. o.o

Izanagi 12-23-2007 06:58 AM

I'll be there, on what, remains to say, but I will be there. And Munin is an oft used character name for me. I have always been a fan of norse mythos.

Hessah 12-23-2007 08:02 AM

It was a bit strange to have that massive xmas event noticing that u werent there... even though i'm not on Apoline... but yeah... glad u still stick around and check our post =D

Zotius 12-23-2007 09:51 AM

Norse Myths... I think O-mie likes them too... But you'll still be sticking around right?

I'm assuming it's so he doesn't get annoyed with questions like why he's still on FF by random people.

Yeah me too. I was kind of confused and kind of got the hint he was gone when at the Xmas event, SnakeEyes, a GM I had never seen before, was there.
But yeah, if you're still on Fiesta and on Teva, feel free to say hi =D I won't be like ZOMG ITS STEAM in shout or something like that. But I'm sure you know I wouldn't do that lol.

Zwivix 12-23-2007 05:28 PM

Actually talkin about new GM's I've never seen was GM Wildfire. I saw her those days that Teva was having connection troubles.

Anyway Good luck with everything you do Iza ^^. You'll always have a home here.

Spirit 12-23-2007 07:22 PM

I have to say, I am kinda saddened by this news. Steam was always the most active and the one that answered all of our questions for us. I hope that whoever replaces him, is as good as he was. I also hope that we get a GM to start replying in here.

Goodluck Steam in whatever you do after your Fiesta ventures. I wish you the best of luck. Fiesta has taken a major loss by losing you. I hope it ended under good circumstances and that whatever you move on to will better your career.

(Gee, that sounded all grown up, yuck!) But, as someone who is going back to college to improve her job position, I know how hard it is to climb a ladder.

Yosei 12-24-2007 02:09 AM

Well its true! I hope he does better his career after this. He better, or else *still hasn't thought of an or else yet*.

Hyper 12-24-2007 02:51 AM

Noooo! D:

Psh, Steam seemed like he was the most active GM, and he seemed to be the one who cared most! He was on FiestaFan at 3 AM sometimes! D:

Ninja text:
Some people say he got fired, but I didn't hear the details.
Well, they wouldn't tell me. T_T

Lol, maybe he was TOO active.

Nah, I kinda doubt that, a personal thing I believe.

Izanagi 12-24-2007 05:56 AM

Let me state right now that I hold no animosity twoards Outspark and the other folks that work there that I work with. In fact I am remaining in contact with them as I go forth elsewhere, they are good people, and the aspect that I will miss the most is the community.
Boycotts, bans, people causing trouble, that is not the reaction I wanted to this situation. While I appreciate the sentiment. It really touches me that you all felt that strongly enough about me to do so. I would rather you folks enjoyed the game that will be there with or without me and gave the new GM's and the old the same support and respect you have given me.

While I will still not discuss my leave from Outspark nor what prompted it, again suffice to say I and those there I frequently talk to are still on good terms. These things happen in life. I will be still be lurking around though.

Hessah 12-24-2007 06:16 AM

It would be nice if they interact with us as much as you did, and we'll pay the the respect they earn! =D

Yosei 12-24-2007 05:16 PM

Some people are nocturnal, like me.

Lady-Loki 12-24-2007 05:17 PM

Awww! I hate that we lost the most active GM (not counting Thong-man, but I think he only shows up to disrobe.).

@ Steam/Munin - hihi! got a Fiesta character named Munin? I'll make a recco to G____G to send you an invite to our guild! We don't really seek out GW to get points for wins and all, we mostly kill mobs between dances *dances 5 (oops, meant to dance 2)* and talk lots. Yeah, prolly talks more than mob kills!

Spirit 12-24-2007 05:34 PM

Ummm... what boycotts, bans, and stuff is Steam talking about?

Yosei 12-24-2007 05:44 PM

People were protesting his leave. People were refusing to buy stuff from the CS til they found out what happened, lol. Well, thats one protest that I know of.

LOL.

How pointless.

P.S. Outdated sig D:

Yosei 12-24-2007 06:10 PM

I'm in the process of making a new one.

Valentines 12-24-2007 06:19 PM

A long process?

Hessah, that is fine, just don't pay them negative amounts of respect over this situation. I like to point out that the more Negative feedback that outspark gets over this situation, the more difficult it will be for me to move on in the industry later. All I need is for them to get called and then bad mouth my work because they lost service over this.

Hessah 12-24-2007 07:53 PM

Ohh i see wat you mean... my point was trying to get them to be more active.. not give outspark negative feedback... geez... its quite dark out there! LOL

i hope nothing of wat other people said will affect your future... if a company has some sense, they should realise that you've got the power to bring a game's community together more than anybody else....!

So are u not allowed to sign up for an account in Fiesta?

First thing that popped into my head: Is the OutSpark staff immature enough to hold you personally accountable for the actions of the players? I would certainly hope not. Considering the anonymity of the internet we as players have no incentive to do them harm at your behest (you can't get to us and do anything if we refused you). I truly hope they would realize all actions of players are of their own accord and if they feel any actions are in violation of the ToS would then address it individually with those responsible.

Not that I intend to send anything negative to them anyway being that I don't know what was going on behind the scenes. Just saying . . .

Hyper 12-25-2007 01:39 PM

Yesterday in Uruga we saw Murdock, who is now a mage, killing Orc Hunters with physical hits.

He ignored EVERY word I said, which really pissed me off.

Why? There were only about 6 people around him, and I asked tons of questions. I think he hates me because I actually spell out words, and he probably thought I was mocking him.

Anyway, he was marrying two people off, then all these idiot noobs came and did exactly what he said not to. After the wedding, he spawned a King Slime, which died in seconds.

Then he showed armor and weapon requests of everyone but me!
"70 armorr pls"

*shows*

"Could you show the 94-99 mage stuff?"

"any oter requsts"

"94-99 mage armor please."

"coud i hv 70 maeg stuff"

*shows 70 mage armor*

Then his sister showed fighter armor and weapons, and she was the same way. Wtf, I guess GMs are allowed to make other people GMs, because she obviously wasn't 18. (She was talking about her mom, and why her mom hated the stripper outfit.)
And I could hardly understand her.

Also, while all this went on, a very well known bot was IN URUGA. Murdock didn't read shout, I guess.

I miss Steam.
