Job Change 2 Quest

Here's my guide for the level 60 job change quest! It appears someone made their own while I was in the process of making this one but oh well >_< I made this thread before then, so I'm not leaving it empty.

1. When you level...

Stock up on pots, stones, evasion, defense, vitality scrolls, and a cleric buff. If these are good enough for me, they're more than good enough for the rest of you!
Go to grand master Sean, not your class master, like Wishis i.e.
2. Part 1... Night of the Living Dead!! :O
He tells you he has a rellick for Rumenus and for you to take it to him. So you are then ported to Roumen, supposedly. When you get there, it looks normal, except all the noobs have "???" over them. You walk up to Rumenus, he disappears, and the area darkens up with a fog. Zombies spawn all around you, and go after you. They have a large aggro range so don't bother trying to avoid mobs. Once you've killed the zombies by the fountain, make your way towards the area with Robin, you should have them all killed by time you get to where the smith should be. It will say success! Like in a KQ.. but.. you aren't done, don't celebrate yet. You are then ported back to Forest of Mist. Don't talk to Sean, go to Roumen.
3. Part 2... Gambling for your level.
Before doing anything.. I suggest you restock up on w/e you need. Me, I restocked on HP stones for safe measure. When you're feeling secure, go to Rumenus. Talk to him, and when you're done you will be ported to a Casino themed room. Theres a guy there that tells you to choose a dice and spin the wheel. So.. you click on a random dice, then on the wheel, and the tiles start to light up. If you're unlucky enough to choose the wrong dice, trumpies and elf demons will spawn and go after you. When they're dead you spin again. Basically its the same process til you choose the right dice. When you have chosen the right one, the large playing card doors will open. Walk on through and be ready to fight. When you're in, a large joker trumpy guy thing spawns and attacks you. Kill it. Unfortunately he stuns, but he doesn't do that much damage so it should be fine. When you've killed him, "SUCCESS" comes across the screen again. Nope, you're still not done. You're then ported back to Roumen.
NOTE: He drops an item for the quest, it might not be very noticeable, but grab it!
4. Part 3... Roumen and Elderine
Before going back to Rumenus, go restock again. This is the part that does the most damage. When feeling secure, go back to Rumenus and talk to him. When you're done talking to him, Roumen starts to flash light and dark(cheesy graphics lawl), and then you're ported to Ancient Elven Woods. You get 5 minutes to find Elderine and Roumen. Go straight and then the first right, they will be by a fire pit. They start talking about things going after them. Soon, a group of monsters spawns, various kinds, FoS-type (not stonies). You have to defend the two of them. Don't panic if they're getting hit, but still, try to keep them off of them. This will repeat til the time is up, each time the spawns getting larger and larger. The fighting will go on til the last seconds, so don't freak out if you have like 1 minute left. It took me about less than a minute to kill the whole mob. Once time is up, and you've killed all of the mobs, it will display "SUCCESS". Now, you have officially passed the quest. They hand you a Necklace of Rumen. No.. not a legendary necklace of roumen ;p its a quest item. You will be ported to Roumen where you go talk to Rumenus again. Once done, a little announcement will come up on the screen saying you have just become level Enchanter/Warrior/Paladin/Scout. Congratulations! You will then be able to choose between weapons, and you've received 10 stat points ^^ Choose wisely!

My own tips:
- Don't let your HP get past 1/2 on part 3
- wait til the mobs come to you, except in part 1.
- Buy at least 2 of each scroll, in case the whole series takes you longer than an hour.
- Archers, use poison. Fighters, use mock. Mages, use magic burst. Clerics, sucks for you D: Although healing yourself will help keep aggro =D And empowering Bash will help too.

Random Info:
- No clerics can't heal Elderine and Roumen.
- Each area gives you 20 minutes to pass.
- No, that wasn't an equipable necklace of Roumen.

Will you also find out if the level 60 skill that Nina sells for fame can be obtained through a quest?

Phantom Badger 12-21-2007 08:53 AM

I heard the lvl 60 quest was were you had to guard someone and lots of mobs attack you (thats what a lvl 61 cleric told me)

Yosei 12-21-2007 07:18 PM

Thats one of the parts. There's 3 parts to it. I updated it.

Yosei 12-21-2007 11:01 PM

I'm done with my guide.

Valentines 12-21-2007 11:05 PM

Gratz ^^.

But now it doesn't seem like it's going to be hard. D:

Blaaaaaaaah 12-21-2007 11:06 PM

10 stat points!! That part was the best part.

You didn't know that?

lol

Yosei 12-21-2007 11:08 PM

It really isn't hard D: all the mobs are green, they die in like 3 hits for me. And they do between 20 and 40 damage to you, except the poison, it did about 120 to me.

That sounds yawn. D:

Yosei 12-21-2007 11:14 PM

Well that x30 ;p Kind of like in Robo when its time to start running. I should've taken a screen shot of the mobs. Its not hard though, it might be stressful for fighters and clerics. I didn't have to target anything, I just kept clicking magic burst.

Saeles 12-22-2007 12:00 AM

Suddenly, I sense doom for my support cleric, for when she hits that level. ^^;

Same. =[

Ralath 12-22-2007 06:32 AM

It's neverending mob spawn at the end?

O.O

Yosei 12-22-2007 04:32 PM

Like.. 15ish lizard knights and 15 elf demons spawn. If not more. They're not hard at all. But since I'm a mage, I had to use a bit of stones.

Lady-Loki 12-22-2007 05:49 PM

WOW! Thanks! I see CS items in my future, like the strength and HP/SP extender things. And maybe even a workout suit.

*hmmm . . . wonders how many of the CS items can be launched and adds to each other? Oh well, since I'm still in my 40's I have plenty of time to find out.*

Thanks again Yosei! I was gonna reps ya on this one but the darn system says I gotta spread some reps to some others before I can rep you again. Darn rep restrictions!

Yosei 12-22-2007 06:32 PM

Lol. Lets see what I had on...

tier 2 evasion, tier 2 vitality, tier 2 power, 2 tier defense, tier 2 aim, tier 2 mdefense(on accident), HP extender, charm of strength, charm of defense(or w/e), lvl 59 cleric buff.

With the patch I went from 1100~1300 mdamage to 807~890ish ;~; And from 450ish defense to 370ish.

Are they gonna fix the def and attack issues, or was that supposed to happen?

Spirit 12-22-2007 06:50 PM

I thought I read somewhere, where they were gonna fix that. But, I am not sure if it was just for the fighters or for all classes.

Sparkeh 08-07-2008 04:01 PM

Please keep the spam elsewhere. If you do not have anything to add about the guide or the job change, then please do not post.

Then you got lucky, lol. I failed it 3 times before I finally passed. I do believe this is hardest on clerics. We have no aoe or mock to keep agro and healing and rejuvenate did not seem to help all that much.

Ah...that's pretty depressing...D:

Spirit 08-30-2008 07:48 PM

Very stressful. I breezed through it on my squishy mage. I am pretty sure my fighter will breeze through it (2 levles to go), but I really struggled bad with it on my cleric.
