Yes like an ignore, it works perfectly except you can't unblock anyone, to do that you have to delete files. See my post here.

anyone know if the blocked party gets a system message alerting them they are blocked if they attempt to whisper?

They might... I mean, you get a system message when someone deletes you off their friend's list. o:

Just about the best thing to come out of this patch I think. If they won't/can't actually do something about the spam bots at least they gave people a way to block them ourselves.

*sighs dreamily* This is the best part of the up-date. I love the hair and stuff, but.. :D I love this. It's awesome. I have now blocked 9 bots! bwahaha!

I wonder if the individual block lists are forwarded to the GMs... If we are always blocking the same spammers and bots and that information is passed to the GMs, then they can investigate and Canx those accounts. In the end, we could effectively self-police the city streets. Not vigiliante enough for me, but it's a start.

maybe coz it has something to do with deleting their files =/ might cause problems for the few ppl that doesnt know wat they're doing.. ANYWAY.. back to my point..

i recall Cretz making an announcement that if u relog (might hv to completely sign out and come back) ur block feature resets.... might like to give that a go~

You gotta block them every single time though, since new ones come anytime you leave. So it can get really annoying.

i logged into Roumen with one of my characters and i was bombarded by spam.... i had to block 11 bots to get my chat box under control again~

but at least i can do something about it!

I just go to guild chat, even on my characters that are not in a guild. :D

Of course, sometimes GG guild chat can go faster than those bots, lol.
