Archer Builds
Well I'm Gonna Abandon my current character for an archer and i wanna know some builds.
Yea so post builds you can say if thats a good or bad but i want it to be mainly about archer builds. |
Well I have an archer, it's build is mainly Str. I do put up End, but not much really. Only when I feel I need some.
i'm thinking of maybe doing a 3:1 str:end
That'd be good, but maybe more Str than End. Hehe just my opinion. You'd die less with that build but damage may not be so good.
oh oka 5:1?
I made my archer a nearly 1:1 DEX:SPR build with maybe a little bit more SPR but I had 2 +7 DEX rings to make up for it; I really like how he's turning out. Crits rock and come frequently and my evasion is high.
I prefer SPR to STR because it adds damage due to crits and it also adds M. Defense and SP. The damage may not be as consistent as from STR but that's all STR does for you. And I chose DEX over END because END doesn't really add all that much HP and it's just cooler to dodge than take a hit even if your defense is better. I'm also thinking about a END:SPR combo, though. I might make one and focus on STR just to see how it does compared to the one I have now, but I have a feeling the damage won't be that much more impressive, especially if you hardly ever crit with skills or normal attacks. I'd also like to try a crit build because I have a feeling it could be pretty badass. |
but with spr u have high crit and crit rates but crit doesn't appear often(at leaest for me it doesnt when i had a cleric)
In kFiesta, my Archer has a 3:1 STR:END Build and it's working out amazingly. :3
oh cool. ill do that then
what I'm going to do in OB (I kind of put some mistake stats in other places( is probably 2:1:1 DEX STR SPR. I like the build :D
In kFiesta, I'm currently doing 3:1 Str:End build.
I wonder how this build would work:
3:1:1 STR END SPR I'm going to test it, but I want to know if anybody's already gone down this road! lol |
1:1 STR/DEX build ftw?
if you use your skills a lot your build is going to cost you money (sp pots and stones anyone?)
my archer(started it today, lvl 12) is 3:2 end:dex
its good, i block a good ammount of hits. im used to a mage so i love the defense of an archer and the attacks are cool too |
i think a 2:2:1 Str:spr:dex would work amazingly. i am gonna try it in OB, possibly even scrap my archer i have now and try it.
Ok putting this out there would a 3:2:2 STR SPR DEX work and save money. THink about it at higher lvls. Good dmg. Good aim and evasion and good crits and mp. Get back to me on that.
I'm doing a full SPR build and it's working out very nicely. :3

Spirit is all an archer really needs. Endurance offers nothing to archers in the way of block, which is what's so attractive about the stat. The defense and HP gained from endurance, even at higher levels, is negligible. The same can be said about strength. 30 strength about level 50 will only give you 40ish damage, which is only a small slice of your base damage (which would be about 1000 damage).
Spirit gives you three things, all of which an archer needs. Critical, which doubles the damage of any attack it procs on, skills included. At level 50, this provides you with 5-7% bonus critical (using the pure spirit build), and that's a lot. With the appropriate equipment, scrolls and potions, you'd have 16-17% critical. I'd say that's pretty generous. The magic defense spirit offers is negligible but is an asset nonetheless, as magic attacks will hurt far more than physical attacks (since none of the archer equipment offers much for magic defense). The bonus SP is needed, desperately. At level 50 you'd get a bonus of around 250 SP, which is about 10% of your base SP pool. More SP helps reduce the toll spamming your skills will have on you. The bonus SP increases the amount recovered from SP stones, saving you a small fortune over time. Anyway, I don't feel endurance or strength are good stats for an archer, as their benefits aren't so brilliant later. |
Brilliantly said.
