Would u buy regeneration potions?

For those who dont know, the potion production skill can create 2 potions at 150 skill (all tier 1)

HP regeneration potion:
regain 12hp per second for 15 seconds
(total 180 hp)
Regular hp potion heals 250 hp

Sp regeneration potion:
regain 11sp per second for 15 seconds
(total 165 sp)
Regular sp potion heals 230 sp

Obviously, regular potions heal more hp overall, but regeneration potions require more skill, and also they restore hp/sp over time. would anyone buy a regeneration potion and how much would u be willing to pay, and how much is that relative to regular potions in ur server? thank you.

I have made it and I have used it. I quit making it and I quit using it. In my opinion they are a waste.

Seconded what Spirit said. When I saw that SP regens took half the magic crystals (and I was low on them) I said "Jackpot!".

Then I had my mage actually rely on them. The regen is too slow for emergencies and the gain is too little. I ended up NPCing my vanished signs (those things can FLOOD an inventory) and going back to normal SP pots. I can't imagine trying to survive on HP regens.

If they had a seperate timer to normal pots (like how cleric heal and restore can be used seperately) then it'd be a nice way to suppliment your healing. As is, it's blah.

FatalLace 12-08-2007 05:14 PM

i've made them just to build my skill lvl when i wasn't in need of hp/sp pots and sold them basically @ cost, around 10c a piece. they sold quickly even with my shop advertising them as REGENs. seems likes some people like em.

Spirit 12-08-2007 05:23 PM

I would buy them if I saw them for 10c. Because you can always use them if you are running from one place to another and dont want to shroom up. However, in the heat of the battle, I found them pretty useless. It is simply up to the user. The lower levels may find them more useful than the higher levels.

Triumph 12-09-2007 05:09 PM

They're not so bad, in my opinion.

If you have Vanished Signs to spare, and have a shortage of Magic Crystals or Spirit Fruit, these are great for leveling your Potion Production. I've personally used the strategy, and used the potions myself. If you do serious grinding, these can be useful, as you probably will never have to stop if you use stones as well.

Valentines 12-09-2007 08:23 PM

I personally don't use them as they do seem like a waste.

Hessah 12-09-2007 09:23 PM

i dont use them, but i do make them (starting to get a bunch of vanished signs from my mule)

i sell them for 70c each, and surprisingly they do get sold! (That's better profits than my normal potions which i sell for 40c)

70c is a lot for something that heals less than a regular HP potion...

I turn all of my vanished signs into signs of trace because you will blow through those making HP T2.
To me those are more valuable than HP Regen.

What level comp does that take?

-Edit because I totally ignored the topic.

I wouldn't buy them unless I came across a really good deal, but they're nice as supplemental healing MP/regen between battles. I don't generally bother with them though.

Spirit 12-10-2007 03:57 AM

To comp vanished signs to Sign of Trace it takes 1000 experience points, which is step 2, so it requires T2 alchemy stones.

Pritcher 12-10-2007 04:01 AM

Ahh, thanks. I can't remember what level I left off on comp, but I'm not quite at 1000. I know I need Sign of Trace though, I'm gonna start hanging on to vanished signs again I think.

Spirit 12-10-2007 04:02 AM

That or I can comp them for you until you are at that level. :D

Pritcher 12-10-2007 04:04 AM

Might getcha to do that if I save up enough vanished signs. Have milk another one of my alt's fame for stones lol.

Spirit 12-10-2007 04:14 AM

If you do not need too many I can use my alchemy stones. I have stocked up on them and when I run low, I simply buy more. That way, if I need my fame for anything in the future, I still have it. I still have not gotten a definitel answer on whether those 10,000 fame are goin gto be required to get that lvl 60 skill. I am hoping that it will be like the level 20 skill and it will also be offered in a quest.

yeah its strange... i thought no one would buy it too, so i NPCed a lot of vanished signs in my early days of Fiesta...

until one day i magically realise that they sell pretty well... i hammered myself for a bit there...

i still dont understand who and why they buy it.. 70c is pretty pricey even if they misread it for normal HP potions... so yeah... dunno! but its good for me XD

Esen 12-10-2007 04:40 AM

Hmm... Maybe I should take advantage of that, haha. Though I NPC or even just drop all my Vanished Signs since I need the room for other materials usually.

Although i bought the recipes for them, I never bothered to make regeneration potions since I was positive I wouldn't use them. Why did I buy them then? Simple, to have a more complete list.

I got 5 SP ones from a quest last night, tried it out, found it too slow to be of any help for me and NPCed the rest for 5c each. Kinda wished I saved them since apparently people do buy them. xD

Hessah 12-10-2007 04:42 AM

i've never made SP potions.. i've only made HP... kekekek

i wonder if SP potions is just as good of a seller? but i kinda doubt it in a way.. since u dont need full SP all the time.... its pretty easy to use normal SP pots when u're running low

Hyper 12-10-2007 04:45 AM

I personally wouldn't buy them.

Potions in general isn't what the current Fiesta market is favoring. Ever since the Perfect Eyes/Miles, its all about Lix [2] and Xir [2].

And scrolls.

Esen 12-10-2007 04:49 AM

Ah, yeah, that's true. Also, people probably would've though they were normal SP Pots unless they read the description anyway, which is not a very nice result if they didn't. xD I don't buy pots, but I think I remember being surprised at the price of SP Pots until i read the description that they were regens. Don't recall if the price was lower or higher than normal, probably higher since people tend to high price things.

Hessah 12-10-2007 04:50 AM

but u run out of dust, and u hv a whole heap of meat and spirit fruit/magic crystal in ur inventory... wat do u do?

i guess u can NPC them... but i choose to use them up... i use to sell it.. though i've been giving a lot of the HP T1 pts to my mules.. instead of buying stones...

I'm pretty sure they aren't.

Though Lv60 weapons are given through the job quest.

Spirit 12-10-2007 05:35 PM

So you think that we WILL have to have that 10,000 fame for the level 60 quest? O_o.
I sure hope not.

NotMyWay 12-12-2007 02:18 PM

Thanks everyone for the replies... btw i tried selling regeneration potions for 40c overnight and no one bought, and i later dropped the price to 35c and 5 were sold... (pots in my server are typically sold for 15-20c). i guess i does sell but i dont think i want to wait that long...

Hessah 12-12-2007 11:20 PM

NotMyWay 12-13-2007 12:10 AM
