Sad - BUT HAPPY! (8/3/2017!) Come comment!

I can say...of course with due restraint (due to NDA signage) that I for one, am VERY heartbroken as to how this game has turned out. I am also sad I never discovered this forum. It looks like a good piece to our Fiesta Online history. I am saddened to say I do not think Fiesta will make it much longer - I have been an avid player since Closed Beta.

I was hired on as a Forum Moderator (One of the VERY first, probably THE first!) to work with Gamigo in making things better. I would like to tell you all more but for legal reasons I cannot. I can vouch for a lot of what was said. In the manner of which Game Masters were treated.

Blizzard (GM/SGM Blizzard) was my training manager as well as Soda and one other. I grew very close to Blizzard...But due to the downturn in my personal life, I had to quit fiesta online and leave the staff team. However - I did manage to come back but with hitches, and I was not allowed to return to the team due to several issues concerning state, etc etc. I wish I could find Blizzard...She helped me more than she herself even imagines. Even if Gamigo owns the game now - I don't see it making a recovery.

You might wonder why I appear now; Well; You could say for good time sake? I miss being able to enjoy our game - But it's too late now!

My name, as you can tell is just the title of the game; this is to keep my identity secret. I hope you can understand.

Welcome to the forum. This isn't really a Fiesta forum any more in truth, just a small bunch of people posting in MOS. It's also not affiliated in any way with Gamigo (I think there used to be some kind of partnership with Outspark?) so you don't have to be worried about protecting your identity or something like that unless there's something else I'm missing. I'm surprised Fiesta is still around, people have been predicting its demise for years now but it still seems to be chugging along, so I dunno. Either way, enjoy your stay and your blast of nostalgia.

MOS?

- then what do they use this forum for? And yes, It is a little surprising fiesta's still here.

Vasu 05-19-2016 04:24 PM

Our spam and off-topic section. And I'm not sure who the "they" is you're referring to. :P It's just an old fan forum that slowly lost activity but has a small bunch of regulars that have mostly moved on from the game over the years.

Blaaaaaaaah 05-20-2016 08:23 AM

Yepp what Vasu said... we used to be so active maybe...7-8 years ago. But gradually people stopped playing Fiesta, we moved onto other games, and now it's just a bunch of oldies hanging out lol. Entropy has kindly been keeping this forum alive for us.

The golden age of FiestaFan... good times

Ralath 05-20-2016 10:54 PM

Wow welcome~~!

Yosei 05-29-2016 01:36 AM

Yeah, everyone here are players from the very early Outspark games. I was fairly active with the community. I was a CL for a bit, but then I quit doing that.

It seems like Outspark didn't have their shiz together if they ended up with a lawsuit for copyright infringement. No idea about Gamigo. I know someone who works or worked for them. Don't talk to him all that much nowadays.

Fiesta Online 06-25-2016 05:37 PM

Huh.. Sorry for the infrequent replies. I see though - I hope that one day Gamigo gets their heads out of their tooshes. Maybe one day we can revitalize this website. Would be quite the story.

I may be sticking around for a while.

A_Forever 06-27-2016 12:54 AM

What up. It was really only a matter of time, imo, that this game would hit rockbottom and what not. Sucks(notrly :P), but there are much better games out there nowadays.

Was just thinking about FF in this mindset today. Golden age. I'm coming up on my 9th year here, I believe. Even though I take long breaks.. 20s have become a busy decade for me. I'm in disbelief I was really 12 when I joined 😂

Yosei 06-30-2016 02:39 AM

Seen so many wee babus grow up. Well, we've obviously all matured quite a bit since we joined, especially those of us who were around when the site first launched.

a.L 06-30-2016 12:52 PM

I think I still have the mind of a 13 year old

Yosei 06-30-2016 02:01 PM

That's okay.

Mindspank 09-24-2016 01:45 PM

I'm about at a fifteen year old level mentally.

I regret not being around for this post. If I had a few tidbits of personal information about this Blizzard, I am almost positive I could find them online. I was around from day one of open beta all the way up until the Gamigo transition. Seeing what European MMO management companies do to their games, I unofficially decided to retire. Well that and the amount of hatred I managed to accrue while I was active was becoming detrimental to my mental well-being. I'm over it now, but I don't think I will be going back.

You really should stick around and become a consistent member of this community. If any Fiesta community deserves an infusion of active members, it's this one. Pretty sure this is the least toxic MMO community I have ever seen.

In my opinion, and based on the trend that European games tend to gravitate towards, I don't see Fiesta making any sort of a comeback. If the game did manage to start to make an upswing, the community would never be the same. There's nothing like the days of the 79/89 level caps and I don't think the game will ever reach that level again. Plus it's pretty much part of the F2P lifecycle that the game will eventually fade into obscurity. From a business standpoint, F2P games are meant for a quick fast buck, five to seven years at most. This has been a long time coming.

But, yeah. A late hello and welcome.

Yosei 09-25-2016 05:28 AM

MMOs never make comebacks. Especially considering this one started off as a generic flavor-of-the-month f2p Korean MMO.

Mindspank 09-25-2016 11:54 AM

I agree. Everyone wants to capture the WoW effect and package it into a free game. I believe Blizzard must have made a pact with some Deity, as WoW is the only commercial MMO still around that's relevant. Everything else does so bad, they go F2P then just slowly wither away as all F2P games do.

Now that you mention it, I am not even sure WHAT the draw was to this game for me. You're right, it is extremely generic.

Mindspank 09-25-2016 12:28 PM

To make good on my previous statement about finding SGM Blizzard, even without any personal information, I found a Facebook profile linked to SGM Blizzard on a video that was unlisted. The dark lord Chin Chin saw fit to grant me the power to find unlisted videos, and I managed to find the Goodbye video SGM Blizzard made that Gamigo made her take down. It cost me a lot of Chromosomes, I hope it was worth it.

So, Fiesta Online, if you would like to get in touch with Blizzard, here is the Facebook account she created for this express purpose:

https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007264936624

The only public post was from 2014. I am going to send her a message and hopefully see if the account is still being maintained by her. I am somewhat of a drama connoisseur so thank you for allowing me to investigate this.

Typohunter 11-15-2016 11:34 AM

How many people still play?

Pritcher 11-15-2016 08:49 PM

I never really gave a shit about this game to be honest; and truth be told I'm likely one of the oldest, yet least active, members of this site.

Honestly, the only reason I even bothered to keep playing the game back in the day was because of this site and back then I was using it as a way to test out and learn certain things like Flash and Premier and After Effects.

That said, even though I haven't played the game in years, I do still check in here every so often; 'cuz I have a soft spot for you guys. You all have a spot in my heart no matter what. Well you older guys n gals anyway. Yeah that's right I said older... even you young bucks are probably closing on thirty now.

For serious though, this site is most likely the best tether I have to those years. I can't remember back that far very well because I've abused my mind and body and I never kept any kind of journal or anything like that. This site is literally the best record I have of what I was doing nearly a decade or so ago.

Thanks for keeping it alive Ent.

Blaaaaaaaah 11-16-2016 10:29 AM

/wipetear

Yeah thanks Entropy. I don't really post but I still check it daily LOL well.. almost daily.

Vasu 11-16-2016 12:18 PM

Same here. I did care about the game at some point, but now this site is basically a link to dumb 15+ year old me. I go on occasional nostalgia trips. Even though life is good for me now, I had more of a sense of wonder back then. /sadfrogmeme

Yosei 11-16-2016 06:11 PM

I have this weird attachment to this site. It's like a constant... even if the forums are dead. I'll be sad the day I go to log in and the site is gone for good (if that day comes, please give us a heads up, Entropy!)

I also hope maybe one day there will be a game that a lot of us just happen to be playing and can maybe come together to do something :>

Blaaaaaaaah 12-03-2016 03:50 PM

Overwatch?? XD XD

<-- playing that now

The problem now is more timezones T_T while I was at uni I could play with you guys more often but now that I'm not it's hard!

I feel exactly the same. About this forum. It's No.2 on my browser shortcut even though I barely come here anymore. It's a lot harder to find time now as a mummy

There's so much of our history on here.. I wish I could back it all up and save a copy myself!

a.L 12-11-2016 07:07 PM

Instead of reading your son bedtime story books you can read him FF posts

Vasu 12-12-2016 07:57 AM

Gather round kids, and hear all about the FF +rep wars of 2008.

HAHAHA

Ah the dramas.. I used to get so worked up over them.. I think my favourite FF moments were the christmas (?) events. The mr squiggle and that quest thing. I feel like I've lost so much creativity as I get older =(

I recall all the times people accused the mods of practicing G___G bias and only promoting G___G members to moderators. We totes conspired against the whole forum and then sat back and twirled our curly moustaches.

I actually just re-started playing the game as a normal player a few months ago. I just hit level 83; Surprisingly enough I still enjoy it like I used to! Between work and other affairs; I don't have much time to play but I am grateful for the time that I do have when I do have it.

I appreciate all of the replies and enjoyed reading them all. I welcome anymore that may feel like commenting. :)

This broke my heart when she left. She was the first friend I made when joining the team. I absolutely miss her and wish she would come back and talk to me. We bonded like I never thought possible through an online standpoint... She taught me the ropes when it came to my job and we loved going in-game to answer player questions or spend time with people. It was so so so saddening when she left. I miss her so much! :cries::cries::cries:

ananewton 09-22-2017 10:52 PM

Reading the posts is really a wonderful idea.

Manzcar 12-20-2017 08:49 AM

It was a fun game in which you got to get away. And then I met a bunch of really cool kids and got to be cool with them. But now I am so old it's not even funny and don't even play games that much anymore. LOL but definitely nostalgia all the way.

Yosei 01-12-2018 09:11 PM

You're never too old, grandpa.

Oh, it's been such a long time since I have played Fiesta myself. I honestly quit back then, before this whole Gamigo-merge mess. The game was quite p2w on the late game, and as much as I loved to play it, I simply couldn't afford it.

These days, I feel like playing once again, but I'd rather spend my time on more productive stuff, since what made Fiesta so special to me was the community, and of course, all the friends I made both online and irl thanks to this beautiful game.

That's the thing, though
Everyone says it's P2W. This is simply inaccurate. You don't have to put a single dime into this game to enjoy it. You simply have the wrong mindset.
