I was so confused before when Pause saw someone and told them to go away, I thought he was just saying it as part of commentating but it turns out he was actually talking to the guy.

I don't know if VOIP is required in the game.. what's "VOIP"? I mean I know what VOIP is but I don't know what it means in terms of gaming... can't you already do that with a headset alone? It's a steam game not on console.

And I think the guy meant if their "base" is near the area.. not sure how much you watched but they spend a bit of time trying to find a hidden spot to store their stuff and sleep I guess. So they wouldn't want to disclose where they "live" lol hahahaha

Like...how were they able to talk to the other guy? He was knew and they didn't know him so they probably weren't together on something like TS but they still spoke to each other.

Yeah I was wondering about that.... but aren't there games that have this feature implemeneted, and I guess the option to turn it on and off? I remember playing team fortress or some other FPS game and people I didn't know on the team started talking....

If it's in game then how were they able to communicate with him only when they were near him and then when he went off he wasn't in the convo anymore?

I reckon it's a toggle. Like how in TS you can mute and unmute conversations, cos they laughed and talked to each other in between talking to that guy. So he was on TS or something with his friend, and used "public chat" with the dude.

But I didn't see the interface?! Ugh ima google this

woah so apparently, if you're logged off, you're considered "sleeping" and people can kill and rob you if they find your sleeping body, unless you're sleeping in your own base with a metal door.

but I think there's ways to blow up metal doors too if you worked up to it. and server resets every now and then and you'll have to learn all the recipes again. so everything is really not perm hahaa hmmm issit worth ittttt if I would only play it like once a week haha prob would find that I have been killed every time I log back in.

I havent bothered to read all of this thread yet, but there is also some trollish things you can do with doors. Doors are linked to their maker such that he or she is the only one who can use that door. Which is why people use C4 (I think) to just bust in anywhere.

lol just watched Pause take over someone's house. This guy built a huge house with lots of metal doors inside, they attempted to a couple of things and failed but at the end, the were able to get onto the top and build their own metal doors and blocked off the main entrance so the original guy coudln't go back in... LOL

But it was kinda funny cos the house was built near town with radiation, and his partner ran inside trying to kill the original guy, but the original guy closed his metal door on him and trapped him inside so all he could do was wait and die by radiation LOL

I do want to play but I'm not sure if it's worth $20 for a game in alpha that's barely fully developed hahaha

Then I created another house but I learned not to create shelters in the dark now because I get a hole in the floor.
