My Adventure On The AEW Farm =] (lots of screenies)
So after some unsucessful attempts to once again kill robo for the quest (stupid noobs) I decided to unsuccessfully grind in Uruga. Then my bf was all like: "im farming in aew" and i was like: "i want in on that action ;)" so we get there and this is what happened:

but where are you farming? not much point unless you in the AEW farms where you get items you get sell for 500c each :P

I farm in AEW. Even though Im only lvl 31 and mobs 2 hit me >.< I dont really care about lvling right now, so the lost exp doesn't bother me too much. Every mushrooms sells for at least 100c ( Priceless ones sell for 400c) Its great. Every 10 drops=1s at least

LOL!! not to mention that the "entrance" to that mushie field is also guarded...
i have yet to try and risk my life for those diear mushies... why do ppl need high lvl mushies?? |

Hey! I was doing that last night cause I was so bored. Of course, the mushrooms were well-guarded and being a lone Archer, it's hard to get at them. I use a total of 3 stones and 1 tier 3 pot to kill one stupid Trumpie. So all the profit... somehow do not feel like profits. O.o I'll try again another time when my favorite tanker is online. ;)

yeah, about the sap farming spot, it's really not realistic to assume you'll get a haul like I did on that picture anymore.
When that pic was taken, the spot was still largely unknown to players, only a few guilds knew about it and everybody kept the info to themselves for fear of it becoming too crowded. So yeah at most there were 2 other people there besides me that day, and one of them left like 15 minutes into the farming, leaving me with only my friend to farm. then after a hour or so my friend left also, so I was left to farm ALL the wood in the area alone for as long as I could go on without my brain melting. So I came away with 1200 HQ sap. xD 50 sap = 10s, so that totaled to 240s. If I try to go there nowadays, I can barely get 100 sap without losing my sanity. xD too crowded, and yes, people do pull trains on you just to get the wood to themselves, and that in turn results in the killed person retaliating by war or other measures. |

The other day I saw FlameGirl and KLSFury farming. All the while I was running away from mobs on my laggy little raccoon. Then the map kept crashing cause there were like 2-3 parties there. D: Most I've seen in that area. I guess they couldn't handle the sudden surge in people.
I'll have to try and find that sap farm while I still have my raccoon to travel around on. ;) The herb farm is near the mushroom farm. It's towards the path that leads to a dead end... but it's also filled with monsters so you'll need to have someone else with you. I had a party where one of the mages just kept farming while the rest of us fought the mobs. Good exp and money for later. |
The sap farm, should you want to go there despite it being crowded now, is reachable like this:
When you enter AEW and come down to the first crossroads, turn right. there is a spot of greenkies and lips there, from where you must go through. you go uphill a little, and then down again as the path continues. When you go down there is another, bigger spot of greenkies and lips, and this part is usually where people die... the road is pretty narrow, so you'll most likely get alot of beating. One you clear the greenkies and lips, there's usually a queen spider wandering around there. At this point you should see a "gate" to your right, and you simply go through this gate to reach the open meadow with the huge tree in the middle. This is the sap farming area. There are mobs around the tree in various spots, but once you get the hang of it, you will learn how to avoid them and where the wood spawns. Now, good luck on avoiding and contending with the PEOPLE. they're your main concern. xD |
@ lilian: well im on apoline, so it might not be as crowded, and we can always mob train people to get rid of them :P would it be too much to ask for you to screenie the AEW map and in paint or photoshop draw where i should go?
@ loveless: yeah we're trying to get some lvl 38-39 people to 40 so they can join the guild. So we bring them along, we kill the monsters and they farm the mushies, so we all get exp and money at an even rate ^_^ |
