Yeah that and Windows 8, and Windows Phones, and Bing...

I read somewhere that the ps4 has a different architecture than the ps3, so it would take to much work to be able to emulate the ps3 on the ps4. You can also always just keep your old system.
I don't think any of those products are bad :(.

I'm not saying Windows Phones or Bing are bad, just they don't have much market share and I believe MS loses money on them every year which doesn't help their stock price.

Windows 8 on a laptop I really don't like though.

People are also mad because you can get these games, but you will have to buy them digitally. And they are also making it so you have to install the games. So one console per physical copy of the game. You couldn't sell it again or let a friend borrow it.

Ooo... I'm surprised that these console games are making it harder and harder for us to get our money's worth... it's just pushing gamers into online games like Steam...


Triumph is the Samsung stock going up?

It should be, the S4 is a great phone, and just came out in the United States. A quick peek in the Korean stock exchange seems to indicate it rose a little last week.

I hate the plastic feel of the S3/4, so incidentally, I now have an iPhone. Which most of my friends find hilarious, since I used to be a diehard Android user.

The issue with the Xbox One is that if you have mandatory game installation, combined with a non-replaceable hard drive (lol, what are we, the 1990s?), you are quickly gonna run out of space if you own a large collection of games and DLC. If they really plan on doing everything through the cloud, and have your games stored on the cloud... that's gonna get expensive.

Sales jumped 875%? on the Wii U last week, so I dunno what Microsoft is doing anymore. It's nice and all to try to appeal to everyone, but if you spread yourself so thin and alienate your primary consumer base (gamerfolk), then things aren't gonna go so well.

I'm still hung up on the "we're gonna appeal to the casuals" and "we're also gonna keep the subscription for Xbox Live."

You technically can still lend I think, but you'd have to let people sign in on your account... but playing LAN is probably a thing of the past. Yay moneygrubbing. Playing multiplayer online (e.g. CoD/BF) won't change much, but no more lending RPGs to friends without lending them your account also...

Even then, these online gaming store/source thingies tend to freak out and have a long and pain in the arse procedure just to log in from another PC or console. I despise code confirmations.

My boyfriend and his friend thrive off of borrowing. One will buy a game and let the other borrow it. The other will buy another game and let the other guy borrow it. Guess that's now over for the xbox.

And our stupid coalitions ask "why do we need fast internet" soon Australia won't be able to use any of these devices coz everything has gone cloud our we still live on copper wire. And we wonder why businesses are closing down here...

My hubby is thinking about going iPad mini coz he's sick of his S2 battery life dying on him and it's only a year old, so he wants to get off Samsung.

In your opinion, was it good to switch to Apple after using Android?

If you meant iPhone... situational. I miss being able to extensively customize, and battery for me compared to the Android phones is relatively the same, maybe a hair better on the iPhone 5. This is, of course, comparing between this year's phones.

iPhone 5 trumps S3/HTC One X battery any day.

^ I have the HTC One x+ , every person I know has an iphone five ... I leave my 4g/lte on all day with multiple things running at all time and mine out lasts them.

All I ever hear from my friends with the 5 is how they miss the battery on their 4s so much more.

As for xbox one ... this system is just made to spend $$$ on. Wether it's the ireplaceable hard drive or any of the other cash grab options. One of their biggest selling points is how many transistors they have yet how easily is that going to over heat?

Both new systems are jokes really, but do you want a gaming station ... or a system that does every thing your computer does yet much poorer? All these new features on the one just attract the attention of idiots

Interesting, I'm coming off both the HTC One X (2012) and HTC One (2013), and I'm still having better life on the iPhone than I am on Android. I guess it depends on your use... heavy texting and multimedia here. Used to deplete both of the HTC phones in 6 hours, the iPhone lasts about 7. Maybe it's just a newer battery and lasts longer.

The Xbox One's going for your average consumer (e.g. people likely to go for the Wii U) and that's where someone in marketing has studied their textbooks too much, and hasn't even gone out into the real world to see what people really want.

Ahhh the average consumer, god bless lol. I think my phone they really improved the battery life on so that must be the reason. My other HTC's have had horrible battery life too.

I chopped the story a bit..

He wants a new tablet, and eventually a new phone when his contract finishes.. Coz usually people say you should get the same OS for your phone and tablet so you don't need to download everything twice... so he's got a S2.. and supposedly he should get a Samsung tablet... but he's getting sick of his S2 so he is thinking of moving onto Apple.. hence the Mini iPad..

He doesn't really use his phone much.. We were trying to figure out why his phone's battery life is dying so much, and it seems that some of the games he's got runs in the background searching for 3G the entire day even when he's not playing it.. so I guess in that sense, the infrastructure of the iPhone seems to be better but we haven't got a newer model of Samsung to compare..

So the only different is really the customization... I'll get him to weight that when he's deciding.. thx

Yeah, I think the S4 is better than the iPhone 5 but I've never used either phone myself so I'm not sure I'm a good person to be giving advice.

Regardless, I've always preferred the PlayStation. Just got a ps3 a month ago so it'll probably be a long time before I even get the ps4.


I'm much more excited for all the new 3ds games coming though.

After I installed iOS 7, I immediately regretted that decision. It is god awfully ugly, even if it is streamlined.

Yeah, I have developer access. I also have Mavericks on my laptop... Mavericks is cool, but iOS 7 is meh.

Zynga offered millions to Mattrick who's the guy that look over the Xbox One to get Mattrick working for Zynga.

I love how all the comments says the same thing, how he messaged up the XBox One launch and they're still hiring Mattrick!
