Why do people hate it so much?

I actually quite like it.. I don't see how it's different from the old profile except for that it's prettier than the old one...

It's easier to stalk people/get stalked.

I went through just about my entire news feed hiding stuff.

You mean because you can go back a lot further with the timeline?

Or they actually changed the view permissions?

I hate it. I'm content with my wall.

But the cover idea is pretty~

I prefer the timeline personally. Especially the cover photo

I think all your posts past a certain date become viewable to all your friends.

Well. It's complicated. So all the posts made before Facebook came up with these privacy settings become viewable by everyone. But there's a function that turns all your posts into only viewable by friends. However, if you have certain filters on your posts (like I do) where you've blocked certain friends from seeing some things, it turns those filters off.

Which would you prefer if the change hadn't screwed up all your privacy settings?

I've rarely filtered posts from individual friends so the change didn't affect me much at all.

Oh OK.. I'm stalking myself now.. kinda weird...

I'm pretty sure I've set limits from way back... seems to still be there case..

Honestly, I would have preferred all the posts go to private (only me). People don't need to stalk me that far back anyway.

Yeah it does make it easier for people to creep. Granted they DO naturally have access. But its kind of like leaving your diary on your desk vs. on the kitchen counter IMO :P
