IRL Update

I remembered that I havn't really given you guys an update to anything in a while. And today I came back from my Presentation evening with my GCSE result certificates, so I thought it would be a good time to update, so here goes.

GCSE Results:

Media Studies (Double Award) - A* A*
Additional Science - A*
Mathematics - A*
Media Studies - A*
English Language - A
English Literature - B
Science - A

Creative and Media Studies Diploma - A
There were like 7 units and some other stuff as part of the Diploma, with my overall grade being A, the other units and stuff are:
  • Principal Learning in Creative and Media - A
  • Unit 1: Scene - A
  • Unit 2: Performance - A
  • Unit 3: Artefact - A*
  • Unit 4: Record - A*
  • Unit 5: Campaign - B
  • Unit 6: Festival - A
  • Unit 7: Project Report - B
  • Extended Project - A

And right now I'm in College studying Computing, Physics, Maths and Media Studies.

    That just about covers it

Maths? Since when did we get more than one?

Just kidding, I know that's how you Brits say it. Nice job on the scores.

Thanks guys, it means a lot :)
And Hrae, Maths is short for Mathematics, I always assumed that the plural nature of the word was due to the numerous sections of mathematics ? Although perhaps I am just being a derpy British.

I've just always found that to be a particularly funny quirk between American and British English.

I'd have thought color and colour to be the strangest myself.

Math.. sounds like a word that's unfinished to me..

Loveless 12-16-2011 01:58 AM

Sounds like a word I never want to see.

Good job on the scores though.

Color... colour... we're supposed to use "colour" here in Canada but a lot of people use the American spellings. :o

The way we spell Program... The proper way we should spell it is Programme but the heavy American influence has dropped most of the me's off...

Good work on the scores BDEX. Somehow though, I always find exams that aren't from my country to be easiest. I got ~2090 on my first SAT attempt without much of a studying, but somehow I only came in at 47,888 in my state-wide exam. :o

Thanks for all the kind words people, and it does make me wonder how all these spelling differences came into existence
