Find OMFGCATA on youtube and watch some of his videos of skyrim :) he's funny and it might give you a taste of what its like.

Games like Skyrim are infinitely better on the PC. Fallout 3 came out a long while back and I'm still playing it due to the community-mods.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about Skyrim and might get the...freeware version but will definitely be picking up the GotY edition.

Too bad you need a really good computer to run it. I heard that the console versions have been tweaked so that the ui works well and everything though. Might be as enjoyable. I was going to get it but decided to get dark souls instead. Ill probably get it when it has a price cut.

^I'd heard that they were optimized from the ground-up for the console versions, hence why the UI is a bit clunky for the PC. I'd still prefer to get it for the PC over the console though, there's plenty of things that just aren't possible anywhere else.


If there's something missing from the vanilla game, the community's sure to add/fix it.

The UI is irritating as all hell.

I dont find the UI that problematic personally xD
But the game is epic.

It's a good thing my companion is good at fighting because I suck at it.

Also, do you guys play in first person or third person?

I switch between them for easier looting/movement

My companion's AI is totally retarded. She never follows me properly and she picks fights with mobs that kill her in like 2 hits lol. AND SHE'S ALWAYS BLOCKING MY WAY IN TIGHT PASSAGES

Had to reload at a save point that was like 10 minutes ago because I killed my companion and then I looted his body and was too heavy to move... =_=

Yeah, the weight limit was really annoying... I only had my armor and about 3 weapons and I was close to it. I got lazy and put in the code to increase the limit LOL

omg there's a code for that?????

I waste so much time just moving junk between my character and my companion because I'm 100% packrat.

wthhhhh why did a Winterun guard just kill me!!!


also, I just bought a horse... but I'm afraid I'm going to lose her/it...

What is Skyrim exactly...? I keep hearing about it.

Hailed by ''critics'' as one of the, if not the best western-RPG of all-time; Skyrim is the latest installment of the Elder Scrolls series.

Basically a single-player game with a massive, highly detailed universe with dragons, dungeons, magic and swords where you do what you want.

I wish it had limited multiplayer of some sort... I don't like playing alone, especially after I lost my companion... T_T He somehow managed to die and I didn't even notice until it was too late.

Too scared to keep going on with the quests because I can't fight alone. I'm really bad at aiming. I keep expecting there to be some sort of Z-targeting.

This game cost $89 here.. WTH!

The mod repository I used for Fallout 3. I downloaded so many mods that my mods folder is several times larger than the game itself.

Finally killed that dumb Hagraven that killed me like 10 times. =_= Kept healing herself and didn't know what to do about that... I think I was a little underleveled for it...


Do you know what makes your person swing faster? I feel like my attack speed with my two-hander is so slow... =.= I literally miss and wait for my enemies to attack me like 10 times.


I dun like how you can't cast Clairvoyance on your horse....

I don't think you can increase attack speed of 2H weapons. There's a perk to increase attack speed but it's only for dual wielding

What skills/builds you guys going?


I'm a Lockpick/Sneak Archer with a Smidgen of Light Armor. Sneak Headshots too good.

I have a 1H + shield warrior and now starting up a sneak dual wielder (x15 damage on dagger sneak attacks are too trololo)

I'm a two-handed whatever but I have Level 100 sneak now.. ahahahhahahahaha





In case you guys couldn't tell before, I have not that much idea what I'm doing...

I was happier when I realized how exactly to track and untrack quests from the journal, Pickpocket OP.

There's a perk for that???? a.L and I both used a cheat. lolz. x)

I knowwwwwww I was so happy when I learned how to mark and unmark quests and set markers. And then I just Clairvoyance everywhere I go. Except I can't CV on a horse so I basically gave up on my horse.

How do you level your Pickpocket??? I get so paranoid and save like 3 times everytime I pickpocket.

It was a little difficult at first when the skill level is low but if you put one or two perk points into the +success chance you'll be able to take most small items easily. Taking gold, keys and small items builds skill so quickly that you won't really fail after a certain point. You can even get multiple skill-points stealing from just one person.


Edit: man, having a high pickpocket skill is so corrupting. Just started a quest where someone asked me to talk someone else into forgiving them the debt they owe. The quest-giver is out on his luck so can't pay the debtor. I pickpocket his last two gold anyway.

Have you guys bought a house? Where did you guys buy a house?

You can buy a house in every hold as soon as you do the Jarl's main-quests. I just have the cheapest one in Whiterun(?)

Oh I knew that. I just didn't know which town is the best/most convenient.

I just use the houses for storage/selling stuff so theyre not really important.

I like Whiterun since its fairly central, is close to shops, access to Skyforge and I got a modded file so I have both an alchemy and enchanting table in the back.

What's the point of cooking? It's not a skill tree so it's not like it gets any better and I have so many ingredients that are taking up so much room. The things that you can cook aren't even that great, I don't think...

I lost my horse and companion after I became a werewolf and I have no idea where to find them again... @_@
