When you're kind ...

Today, I was in Lumie Stone 1, and partying with some people (which ended disastrously, by the way >.>). And there was a lvl 17 archer. I thought he was really nice, didn't blame us or the cleric for dying (we all died in the span of five seconds LOL), and when teleported back to Elderine didn't leave the party and sought me and this other cleric out.
So I thought that was cool, and he was one of the nicest people I've met on Fiesta. So I decided to give him my lvl 20+3 archer armour for free (except he gave me three scrolls in return >.>). And he said thank you ... unlike most of the posts I read about bad people.
And it feels so nice to be kind!
I mean seriously ... what the hell are those annoying people thinking? Do they have no morale? >.> Share your stories of when people were nice to you, or when you were nice to others.

PS. ZUCHINNI~~~ I SAW YOU IN YOUR SHOP AGAIN!
I think you're the only Fiestafanian I've seen besides Hessah. >.< And Aeropagus.

a.L 11-26-2007 12:15 PM

My kindness usually extends to guildmates, and fellow FiestaFan members only. I rarely speak to randoms, so helping them would be very uncommon. Call me an ass, but there are a lot of selfish idiots out there, and I don't want to bother dealing with their true colours that show up AFTER I help. Not to mention the reliance built up through these things. Help someone once, they buddy you. Next time you log in, they'll spam the crap out of you, asking for help with every single quest.

If this doesn't make much sense grammatically, it's because I'm up later than I should be, and my brain is basically dead from studying...

jacquin 11-26-2007 12:32 PM

Don't really have any stories of specific niceties yet, though I did like reading your own.

So for that, I'll be nice and say thanks for putting it up.

toolrocket 11-26-2007 01:34 PM

Plenty of nice folks out there. Get a scroll here, give a scroll there. I was in MT w/ a low lvl20's cleric and a green helment dropped from a masic staff. It came to me, i gave it to her. Later we got some silver bars which she immediately traded to me. Never seen her before in my life and probably never will again. I find if you behave like an adult instead of a little kid it comes back to you in spades.

Yosei 11-26-2007 02:04 PM

When I was level 20ish, someone just randomly gave me a +5 staff. Then back when pets were like 80s, someone gave me one for free o.o

Zwivix 11-26-2007 02:32 PM

The nicest person is well a lv53 Cleric in Collision. I was looking for a party in CP and as I was about to leave he invited me to his party. We partied for 3 hours and I went up to lv 2. He told me he helps random low level people!

Nicest person alive.

MysteryBabe 11-26-2007 02:59 PM

Once was in a mara kq with a lvl 19 archer he was kinda cool. he said every kq he had done he got an empty box. guess i was in a good mood and felt bad for him so after the kq i switched on to my archer and found him gave him a +4 green name bow and a +3 lvl 20 top.
I have one friend that has always given me scrolls and always offers to give me silvers if i need them he is a sweetie.

Fr0Z3nWind 11-26-2007 03:03 PM

my guild leader
kindest ever
drags me to pt her at cp for exp
=D and now i'm lvl 3x grateful to her and the guild

unlike some people who calls u noob n reject ur application for guild

if ur counting saving up ur scrolls mats n giving them free to a person daily,
yeh i do that
he gives me 5 shield scrolls in return
not much but i appreciate his kindness

Cpt_Amazing 11-26-2007 03:29 PM

well if you're on teva and around Uruga, you've probably seen me once or twice. I'm usually very kind there as well as I randomly heal people regardless of partying with them and hanging around the stairs to make sure that no one (to the best of my abilities) dies from a train. Also whenever I'm bored of Uruga I take some time out to help people kill Mara or Marlone for quest they might have letting them have anything that might drop.

That's my typical kindness, random heals and killing Mara and Marlone. Anyone in teva ever needs me, don't be afraid to ask, I'm usually willing to help granted I'm not in a party atm ^_^

Loveless 11-26-2007 03:43 PM

I remember running through Vine Tomb one day for a quest and ran past a cleric. Few seconds later she gives me a trade request in which I pressed okay and she gives me a green crossbow and just locks trade. That was a nice gesture. I haven't seen her since... just randomly hear her but never see her. O.o

As for myself being kind... depends on the person. A lot seem to take an advantage and think that a one time power level means they can ask for it anytime. So when low levels friend me and afterwards ask to be leveled (especially by saying "lvl me plz") I immediately delete them from the list. I just can't stand people typing like that to ask for a favor.

Fr0Z3nWind 11-26-2007 04:23 PM

lol...... loveless
never seen cpt yet hahas

oh ya there was once a lvl 50+ cleric shouted that she's lvl 20+ doing mara quest
thinking i needed mara dead too , i pm-ed and she partied me
she kills mara in a few hits -_-
well quest done n she continued to whack some pirates hee hee

LIES! You follow unsuspecting people in uruga and heal them until they are annoyed enough with you to party you! AND if that doesn't work then you dance in front of them!!!!! lolol j/k

Anyway, I have really never been poor in this game so in return my cousins really haven't been either.(Cpt_Amazing say one thing about chests and I will kill you!)

One such story was when I was on my alt archer who was grinding boogies and this one cleric was reviving everyone in Sea of Greed. He was talking to someone and I heard them compare money and he was a little poor so I gave him 5s. He was so happy he could by another skill! We added eachother as a friend and meet up party etc ever since.

I also remember another story of Meek who Cpt_Amazing found to be very nice. Meek was leveling another fighter who was on follow and he partied Cpt_Amazing proceeded to split the drops and give Cpt_Amazing silver lumps whenever they were dropped.

Hessah 11-26-2007 09:49 PM

When i was a lvl 8 cleric, someone gave me a clean lvl 15 mage.. and i got very happy XD then i realise u get about 5 from Slime KQ and a free one from quest LOL

Sir Wolfgang was pretty nice in Uruga the other day.. we're leveling at the same spot, and i was with Destrus who will die in 1 hit by Orcs.. So whenever Wolfgang sees us in trouble he'll help out...

And i found it nice that after i revive people, and i run off, they take the effort to whisper me to say Thank you. It's always nice to know the things u did was appreciated... even though its little...

Loveless 11-26-2007 10:00 PM

That reminds me. I was soloing in CP another time just over the bridge where Harkans and Ogres spawn. I was there alone for a pretty good amount until a fighter and two clerics came by. I was fine with it so long as they kept to a corner as they did. Despite having two clerics, they got mobbed a few times and seemed to be in trouble so I decided to lessen the strain and pulled aggro from a Coll. The fighter said thanks and was nice...

Later, another group of mob was ganging up on them again. So I helped again but this time the cleric blows up and accuses me of KSing. I explained that I was only helping and that if they're fine then whatever. Of course she had some pinecones up her rear end and proceeded to shout at me. Then told me she's telling her whole guild about me. All the while the fighter is trying to calm her down knowing I was helping only. It was rather hilarious how she went head over heels on the whole incident only to say "let's be adults and drop this"... Right, the one who was swearing her head off through shout is telling me this. I ignored her anyway. :P Never again have I helped another soul... unless I see a mob train after a party.

Hessah 11-26-2007 10:09 PM

LOL yeah that gets tricky... i often ask 1st.. "do u need any help" and if they died in the process of saying "yes" then well.. i'll revive them LOL

Loveless 11-26-2007 10:21 PM

Unfortunately I can't... revive them. :P And by the time I get my cleric on to do it they'd be in heaven.

EDIT: 300 posts! Woot.

Blaaaaaaaah 11-26-2007 11:15 PM

First thing I thought of when someone was nice to me was Lilian helping me with my quests when I didn't know her back then. It was funny, it was like:

Lilian: "Are you bored? I'm bored. Can I help you please? Please??"

LOLL! 8D I'm sure I've received heaps of help before but I can't think of any at the moment because my brain is stuck.

But yeah, I'm pretty much like wacky and only help out with guildies and friends I know. =P

Hessah 11-26-2007 11:33 PM

LOL the brave and kind lilian..

i not as brave as her... i'm worried that if i help a newb they'll ask for help for the rest of ur fiesta life...

i shall learn to be more generous... I'll do it when i'm sure my friends list is full...

viasta 11-26-2007 11:39 PM

I hate being nice now as cleric, ppl are about to die while soloing, I heal them back to full health and after those ppl are done with their mob, they don't even say thank you, they just walk away, thinking healing them is what any clerics should do. Also im not even on their team :/

Hessah 11-26-2007 11:48 PM

yeah... i'm starting to get use to that... sometimes they dont actually realise they got healed... (as there are many times where i didnt realise i got buffed)

so just put it down to "they didnt realise" and happily move on being a kind cleric kekek

Loveless 11-26-2007 11:53 PM

Actually there are some people when they realise they got buffed but don't know who did it they'd shout a thank you.

Hessah 11-26-2007 11:55 PM

XD yeah that's nice.. saw a shout in CP once "THANK YOU TO WHOEVER BUFFED ME"

but often for me i dont realise till like 5 mins later.... why am i short on health?! keke

viasta 11-27-2007 12:21 AM

I do the shout thing too :D

Esen 11-27-2007 12:27 AM

Hmm... Yeah, sometimes I get healed while fighting and before I can find out who did it, they are gone. xD *is still not use to chatting while fighting* I also rarely ever notice I get buff as well. I run around a lot, and I also freak out when I notice a lower health bar so I think something is chasing me. xD

Hmm... Well, like I said, I've been healed and randomly buffed. Not much else... On my level 18 cleric the other day, a level 24 cleric randomly partied me while I was in Sea of Greed. I didn't know why, I just assume maybe he's going to help people kill Mara so I accepted it without asking. Anyways, turns out he was going to Burning Hill to kill Marlone, and I just decided to follow since I never gone deep in to BH before. I pretty must just healed him and other party members, though I think I died around 10 times. I was surprised they didn't just ditch me honestly. After Marlone, they went to MT, and my journey ended when we were surrounded by zombies. I was told to run, and I did, but then another one spawned right next to me, haha. I just found it interesting.

My own kindness... Hmm... If I see someone asking a question and no one seems to have answered them, I usually whisper them if I know the answer. On person as asking where Hobs were... I was trying to get into KQ so I quickly sent him an answer, only to realize I told him Sea of Greed instead of Sand Beach. I've gone to SoG a lot lately and for some reason, I couldn't remember Sand Beach, only that it started with an S. I felt bad as I wasn't able to correct myself. ^^' Other time, someone was having trouble with his/her production skills. What I told him/her didn't solve the problem, but he/she said thanks anyway. I guess since I bothered to answer with something. I haven't done anything else yet, I'm poor so I'm in no position to donate or give things away. ^^'

viasta 11-27-2007 12:28 AM

I stay when Im healing some other person though, and see if they'll say thanks, but they just run off

Esen 11-27-2007 12:45 AM

Once the person is fine, I usually run off since I have places I desire to reach unless I'm already in the place I want to be.

Zwivix 11-27-2007 01:00 AM

Oh I just remembered another cleric that helps everyone. Her name is Reviva, she casts Endure on anyone she passes by. ^^

Hessah 11-27-2007 01:19 AM

LOL! that reminds me.. from Esen's post.. i help people in Roumen too...

but a lot of them time they dont reply me if my answer solved their problem.. i only get a reply if they're asking for more questions...

i'm not sure if its coz they're still trying to find the whisper button.. or they just dont bother saying thx.....

Fr0Z3nWind 11-27-2007 01:28 AM

maybe it's wow wee... it work let's see wat happens next (u are completely out of their mind)
hmmm.... does teaching a archer how to equip a xbow while she's holding a bow count as a helping o_o
there's this archer who got a KM's xbow n couldnt equip is (techincally i found out y, if u have 1 free slot in ur item, u cant equip u need at least 2)
thus having to pull the bow into ur inventory n right clicking ur xbow
manually o_o

:D, I did that, asking a lot of questions, to Yosei lol, but I say thank you

Samoht_Okpoh 11-27-2007 01:32 AM

Yeah... I've not realized I've been buffed or healed before. I was playing as my mage earlier, and I'm running thru the Sand Beach to the Forest of Mist, and I get there, and I glance at my health, and I'm all  My health! I'm dying! And then I saw the buff... And then other times, I'm " Why's my health full now?"

I like being nice as my cleric. It feels nice to randomly be nice to people, even on games...

Enraya 11-27-2007 09:54 AM

That's the cool thing about clerics. They can help out without being accused of doing something mean >.>
I saw a fighter once, being mobbed by who knows how many monsters. So, I start pulling them out one by one and killing them. After I finish, he runs up to me and calls me a KSer. =.=
Sometimes it's hard to determine the line between helpful and annoying.

Yami 11-27-2007 12:00 PM

There are a lot of nice people out there, luckily. Random buffs when they run by and so on. I don't usually ask for buffs, but if I get one I'll always say thanks.

As for my own niceness. If I see someone get mobbed by a hug group I'll stop and heal them. If I could I would buff others (can't yet). I answer questions, give out free pots and scrolls in KQ and I bought a 40s axe for a friend yesterday... You guys can be the judge :P

a.L 11-27-2007 12:05 PM

Glad to know that there are some nicer people out there.

Fr0Z3nWind 11-27-2007 12:32 PM

i often run to get buff from my gl, nice person she is
actually jsut wanted the resistance so the vivi wont keep slowing me x_x
and she help me with quest too
nice nice person

i do go around tlking about her in game

Amanda2_0 11-27-2007 01:59 PM

Hehe, reminds me of the other day when I had opened up shop in Rouman and I was shouting with some other ppl. Anyway, eventually the convo lead to why no one buffs ppl anymore in Rouman. So I closed shop and spent the next hour buffing every person I could... humm its just the kinda thing I do when I get board. There has a been a number of times my heal pulls agro off the person being attacked, so far nobody yelling at me for KSing, but it is a hard point. For example I draw mobs, because I want too and then often ppl KS thinking they are being helpful. For the most part just telling ppl you are fine and don't need help works.

Xylem 11-28-2007 11:26 AM

Same. Must be a friggin botter.

HOWCOME NOBODY IS FROM BIJOU ON THESE FORUMS? Ahem.

Well, I once dropped a few Tier 2 SP pots to someone in my party. We hardly talked, but she was helping me with my quest. I think. Hey, Tier2 is alot :P I'm in my low 20's. I sometimes Invincible some people when they are mobbed. I usually only get a reply half of the time though. BTW stupid invincible. I only found out it lasts only 5 seconds, AFTER i bought the damn skill. The description didn't say anything about duration.

Enraya 11-28-2007 11:32 AM

Pssht, don't underestimate Invincible.

5 seconds last = 5 seconds win

Do you know how much damage Invincible can take? Especially from bosses!? 8D That's why tanks love clerics.

Back on topic: Yea lots of times I'm a KSer >.> Try to help people out. If they tell me that they're handling it fine, I back off. If they shout at me and curse, I keep on hitting the monster and then collect the drops. lol

Xylem 11-28-2007 11:40 AM

Yea, I figured that invicible was quite useful for KQs and such, but I rarely get into them. For example, i completely failed to enter a KQ this afternoon to test it out T.T

Back to what you were saying: I think you should only help them if they ask for help. If they die without asking, then that's their problem. When they're fighting 1 or 2 monsters... I think it should be fine. However, in my case, whenever I'm being chased by 5 or so, I usually yell out HELP. Anyways, I think you should only help people who asks for help. Like me. Too bad we're in different servers.

Enraya 11-28-2007 11:48 AM

LOL xD We'd make the perfect pair!

The thing is, they're not going for two to three monsters. They've got like eight, nine monsters on their tail and they're running like crazy. Especially when they don't have a hobby horse >.>

On KQ: I get into KQs fine :x But I have to hide in an itty bitty corner in Burning Hill to avoid the mobs and just watch the thing go from On Schedule to Recruiting, lol.
