i had braces... had 2 teeth pulled out... i wouldnt say it was the most pleasent thing i had... but i'll be able to smile freely to cameras once its over!!

and u kinda get use to the dentist after a while coz u hv to go to them so often kekeke

i hate my braces....they leave cuts and sores in my mouth..and i can't chew gum, eatbeef jerky or carmel or anything of the sort >:O

My teeth aren't straight but I don't "need" braces and I don't plan on getting them. Sometimes people actually need braces but braces have turned into a totally cosmetic thing because straight white teeth are what your "supposed" to have. I think its kinda dumb, honestly.


Oh, and I hate the dentist too. lol

well having straight neater teeth is suppose to help u chew and help your digestive system...

so there's some health factor there too kekeke

I don't like the dentist either, haha. Anyways, once you get use to them, braces aren't that bad. I honestly didn't feel any pain when they pulled two teeth out for mine (felt rather weird though). I find retainers worst since you have to take them out when you eat and stuff then put them back in.

And yeah, straight teeth does make it easier to chew, but I guess if your teeth are not so bad that you need braces, you might not notice a difference?

In any case, I screwed up my teeth situation so... Yeah, I want braces again, but I don't really have the time/ability to take care of it right now... Though, it means more pain later... Oh well.

As for colors, my friends changed them every month. During Nov/Dec, one of my friends got green and red, haha. I think she gave every color they had a try at least once.

yeah retainer / plates are annoying... i've heard stories where ppl went out to eat with frds.. (say at MacDonalds)... and they wrap it up in serviettes... and put it on the tray...

and when they finished the meal, the chuck it all out together with the rubbish kekeke... i think it happened to my cousin LOL so i was extra careful with mine

but my plates were pushing my teeth upward (so my top molar doesnt touch the bottom molar) and my orthodontist told me to stop using the plates.. and now i can feel it moving slightly out of place =/

but i'm too scared to go back... HAHAHA

I got mine on 1 week ago and they hurt like hell D';

the 1st week was the worst.. then it stops hurting... then it hurts for abou 2 days each month after u ur lovely trip to the dentist..

omg i fell so bad 4 u man i have near perfect teeth:D so i dont have 2 wear braces

Not really. My friend's dad is a dentist. And he's kind enough to let me talk to her on the phone... My friend has a rainbow bracer... Except that it doesn't only include the 7 colours... And I have near perfect teeth too... But I still gotta find a way to remove the little bit of plague on my front tooth...

Eh! my braces are not purely for cosmetics >:O
if not for them i would have a tooth growing out of my chin right now :eek:

I hate the dentist, but he gave me some of the best news when I went yesterday -- I don't have wisdom teeth. They dont exist in my mouth, so they'll never grow in. No pain, no money spent. How sweet is that. :D

wisdom teeth are teeth that grows when u've earnt some wisdom... people without wisdom teeth are considered dumb.

they're 4 extra teeth that u grow when u're about... 19-25?? i think age various a lot from person to person...

so normally u hv 8 molars (big teeth at the back)... and wisdom teeth are like the next teeth... and for many ppl they dont grow straight, they grow sideways and stuff, and often there's probably not enough room to hv those 4 extra big teeth, so people go and hv an operation to remove them.

depending on how old u are.. u probably wouldnt know that u hv wisdom teeth yet...

i saw mine sitting there when i got my braces too... but they didnt surface till i'm like 21 and its still growing =/

but there's no pain (yet) so i hvnt been back to get it checked up keke
