Full of drama! I love it. I've been on an action anime kick lately, definitely needed something like this anime.

I'll probably read the manga later on. It has a live action too? Anyone know if the live action is any good?

I was reading the manga for awhile... but stopped. I don't like drama all too much.

DAMN STRAIGHT I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH NANA!!!!!

I even got my Fiance into it, he now has the soundtrack in his car..

The movie was really good too! #1 though, didn't like #2 much coz they changed the cast.

I liked the songs from the movie better too, but it's still all awesome!!!!!

I wanted to go to Jackson Burgers when I was in Japan, but didn't if it still existed or where it was...

Haha I looked the movie up online, apparently the story changes from the equivalence of episode 19+?

I don't know if I'll bother with the manga since it is on hiatus. The anime is pretty good even if it is terribly different from the manga story (haven't confirmed this yet).

The drama in the anime is just so real. I could see all of this (aside from you know... big rock bands being involves. That's a 1 in a million chance).

I just got to the part where both Nana's go to the Trapnest concert. Before that I was inner raging over Shoji.

Yeah the movie mainly focused on rock star Nana, so a lot of the stuff related to the girly Nana and shoji was cut out..

But Ren in the movie looked so cool, I found him on a Uniqlo poster in Japan (sort of like Giordano) and took a picture LOLOOL

I'll continue watching it :) and then I'll check out the movies.

The only thing I truly dislike are the MAJOR recaps. Some episodes will play like 50% of the previous episode @_@ Sometimes I'll get confused and wonder if I'm actually watching the same episode over again.

Yeah that was kinda weird~ you can pretty much skip the entire episode..

On episode 28 @_@ omg I love this anime. Though I want to pimp smack Hachi.

I finished the anime and I'm onto the manga (the parts after the anime). I have a love/hate relationship with this series. I love it yet I hate certain aspects of it.

1. MAJOR exaggeration and melodramatic attitude within the music industry in this series. It's like the record companies literally control their lives.

2. Hachi! Argh. That girls outlook on life is black and white. First she has this "All you need is love" attitude, and now she thinks she needs to accept and be happy with her current relationship with a man who is essentially abusive and controlling while there is a perfect guy down the street who is just as financially stable.

And the series is on hiatus T___T I'm afraid to reach the end. It's been on hiatus for 2 years. Not a good sign.

I KNOW!! I FEEL SO SORRY FOR SHOJI! Like why go for a dickhead when you've got someone that would take care of you?! That's why I wasn't as happy with the 2nd half of the anime..

You gotta watch the first movie~~

I'm routing for Nobuo at this point. But from the looks of it, she's going to end up with Takumi.

Why did I say shoji? I meant Nobuo....

The 2nd movie makes Hachi looks like a stupid pretty face..

In a lot of ways she is in the first half of the series. But overall at the later parts she's MAJORLY in denial. Which makes me mad because aside from her ditsy-ness, she's a decent character... she's kind of the glue for all of the other characters. So seeing her lose out in the end kind of sucks.

Yeah agreed~ she's more decent in the first half coz it's all about the development of her relationship with Nana..

I love the story line of Nana and Ren in the movie!! I've cried a few times for them...

but in the 2nd movie they changed the cast for Ren and Hachi so it totally sucked..
