... 9 hour power cuts. :zomg:

There are protests going on about how our state should be split into two, and as such, the workers at the primary power plant which generates power for most of our area has gone on strike. Of course the area which would hypothetically make up the new state is having no such difficulties. :hulksmash:

9AM to 12PM, 3PM to 6PM, and 8PM to 11PM are the scheduled out times. :cries:

Well that sucks :s Luckily stuff like laptops/Smartphones still work with 3G, put it on charge when the power is up and you're golden.

Well, I don't have a laptop. Just the desktop in my room. I am a college student remember? XD

Also I have a very basic phone because I have a penchant for losing or spoiling my phones within 3-4 months of their purchase. XD

Lol. I love laptops when power is out temporarily. The other night the power went out at my boyfriend's and my laptop stayed on >=D but I had no internet :(

... yeah... blackouts are a pain.

Had one last night for like a minute. Complete darkness, that was crazy. Thank goodness I had a flashlight app thingy on the phone, lol.

The funny thing is both myself and my brother were in the middle of a game (he was on LoL, I was on Dragon Nest). As soon as we were thrown into darkness we were both going "nooooo".

What I usually do during times like this is to sneak around and make scary noises to annoy roomies/siblings/anyone/everyone I can find xP

During the day, the power cuts aren't so bad as I can just grab a book and read (unfortunately, it's usually a re-read rather than a read), but the night-time one is really horrible. I don't have any flashlights or such and neither do any of my neighbours. Pitch blackness for 3 hours. O.O It's actually kind of peaceful, in a boring kind of way, but all I can do is strum my acoustic, play stupid games on my phone and wait.

Try getting a powercut when you're sleeping without an AC on.

And I'm used to sleep on AC's voice. <3

Why do people have to protest.. so much rage~ I'm getting sick of seeing people protesting..
