See-through and is made of plastic... o:

I wish the US would update their currency. =_= I think it's a terrible design.

Loveless 07-07-2011 05:32 PM

US currency looks really... dirty.

Yosei 07-07-2011 05:36 PM

It's like we drew the short straw of who gets the shitty puke green currency. Some people were toying with the idea of using strictly coins but a lot of people aren't for it.

We did try spicing it up a bit by adding more color to our 5 dollar and 20 dollar bills :P

Sparkeh 07-07-2011 06:11 PM

Kool.

Bye Bye Fake Hundreds.

Ya Canadians, for the most part, are clueless about American money.. and multiple times I've been told it's fake cause of the quality of the bill.

No shit. Carrying around all coins? That would be a pain in the ass. I already carry around a wallet, phone, and keys. Now I have to have a purse for money? Fuck that noise.

Yosei 07-07-2011 07:11 PM

xD Yeah I have to have a wallet and a coin purse for my change. I usually end up saying fuck it and just throw the change down into my purse.

They're all too similar!!!

Last time my dad went to America, mum and I were sorting out his american notes and we had to sit there and look at each note and their number to sort them out properly... slow process =(

Hraesvelg 07-07-2011 08:50 PM

How often do you expect them to be updated? It seems like every five years they're rolling out new designs. They're called greenbacks for a reason, dammit.

A_Forever 07-07-2011 09:00 PM

Made of plastic? How does it go in thy pocket? D:

Loveless 07-07-2011 09:23 PM

Not stiff plastic...

Hessah 07-07-2011 10:04 PM

Our notes are plastic.. probably been that way for at least 10 years? someone had a stack of $20 notes in their pocket and put it in the washing machine by accident, after the washing, all the notes are still intact, in fact it was probably cleaner than before LOL!

Loveless 07-07-2011 10:05 PM

Yeah I read Australia has had them for quite some time...

At least when they implement these new bills I wouldn't have to worry about getting that one crappy looking bill. If it looks bad just wash it? Lol

Sparkeh 07-07-2011 10:08 PM

They need to update saudi riyal :C.

eh isnt it like... not the wisest decision to mass produce more plastic crap when we're trying to conserve plastic and such?

Hessah 07-08-2011 12:23 AM

Not if the plastic will not become a waste..

Actually I don't know what they do to old money.. does the bank regularly take the grubby ones away and destroy them and the Govt print new ones?

Sparkeh 07-08-2011 08:48 AM

I think the banks give the old money to govt and they recycle it?

I don't think anyone is going to be throwing away their money. At least not in a literal sense.
