trickster class...yes? no?

i was wondering is it worth it to make one ive been playing for two years and i wanted to start fresh with a new character what should i make? im looking for somthing strong good in pvp but alos fun. is trickster an option or not worth it?

Welcome!!!

My trickster is level 70 now. For trickster, think of axe wielding fighter with ability poison, without ability to stun or mock. Similar style of play, definitely fun. I have a friend in the low 60s who gets 1st or second almost every time in pvp, so strong at least to that level.

IMO, I think you should play both until 20, then see which you like better and continue with that one. You csman always go back to the other one. There's 5 slots so you can try all 5 classes.

They are different styles of play, close in vs. distance. The mage becomes the most powerful player in the game at the highest levels, so either will depend on how long you plan on staying with the character.

DeathClutch 04-27-2011 11:22 PM

i plan on maxing it out eveentually like i already have a mage i started lvl 23 and its fun but trickster looks sick too. all i have is two questions are they strong? and what stats should i make the build on ?

DeathClutch 04-27-2011 11:23 PM

im talking about tricksters above

Helion 04-28-2011 03:29 AM

Tricksters main attributes are strength and dexterity. My build is 25 in spr for the crit bonus, with the rest in Str. The other popular build is full dex. With my build, I am currently out damaging axe using fighters at my level, which is 70.

Helion do you use dual sword or claws?

Helion 04-28-2011 05:29 AM

I used claws until 35 when you get the second soul using skill for dual sword. I like the look of the swords better, and I will take damage over speed every time. Yes, I know some people say the calculations favor speed, but when you kill something in 2 or 3 hits, speed is a non-issue.

DeathClutch 04-28-2011 11:36 PM

so would u consider trickster better than mage? lol

Lady-Loki 04-29-2011 08:58 PM

My trickster is L49 and I still prefer my mage. I just like range better all around. But the trickster does decent damage. I am 25 SPR for the crit and split the rest between STR & END, but even with that I seem to be a squishy trickster.

ninjacatdude 05-22-2011 04:12 PM

does anyone know what tricksters can become at lvl 60? can't find any info on it.

Helion 05-22-2011 04:50 PM

L60 title is Cruel - L60 job change is to Renegade
L80 title is Split Cruel
L100 job change is Spectre (dual swords) or Reaper (claws)

Welcome! :)

Considering that you've played for two years (regardless of whether or not you've played a Mage) and you wanna 'start fresh,' might as well pick Trickster. It's new, it's fresh :D lololol. But then since you plan on 'maxing it out,' you'll have to consider the fact that mages really become more and more powerful especially in the higher levels.

But then again, you might be among the first to play a trickster up to the top and who knows, it might be fun and sick. Well it should be, lol

Note: I haven't played on OS in ages so that wall of text is just my opinion. :)
