Best Licenses?
My fighter is 29 now and I am sitting on my +4 ZK sword and wondering what Licenses to put on it. It seems to me that the best set for the lower level is as follows:
15: Mara Pirate Elites, Speedy Boogies, Mara Pirate Mauraders 20: (early) Glow Wolves, Marlone Megatons, Gold Slimes 20: (late) Ice Vivi's, Spiders, Zombies(or maybe bats) So what is the best set early or late for the level 30 weapons? I have seen alot of people with Hob licenses and zombie licenses. /function |
It depends on what you're planning on using the sword for. If you are going to solo grind much, then put the relevant license(s) on for faster kills. Otherwise, Ice ViVi licenses can give +1% crit to the weapon and it is the fastest to kill amongst your other options =/
Personally I think the lv 30-40 range passes rather quickly that spending time grinding up any license is a waste of time. With the exception of +9 lv 30 weapons, in which case put on... an Orc License would be a good idea :D |
I got the +1 crit% from a Glow Wolf Lic. I guess there a handful for each level that give said bonus.
Not to hijack the thread or anything but can the bonus crit% be stacked by different lic? Like my glow wolf lic stacking 1% crit with a ice vivi lic 1% crit for +2% crit? |

My friend complained a lot as a fighter killing Ice Vivi, coz fighters have low magic defence, and not to mention the annoying speed decrease debuff...
I think zombie is a good license, as there's quite a lot of them in MT (they appear in various areas)... my old lvl 30 hammer had a complete flying staff license too, but i could imagine that might get a bit hectic as flying staff is always with a masic staff... u probably wont want to put on a license of a mob thats already green to you, coz u cant lvl a license from a gray mob... and if u level in the process (which is quite likely as it takes like 600 kills) and they turn gray.. it'll be a waste of time... |
as far as i know, the licence for any monster higher then lv20 can go up to 'destroyer' which gives 40% dmg and 1% crit. grave robber for example are lv21 mobs
Baby werebear (lv36) still maxes at +1% crit tho Ghost (lv37) can go up to 50% dmg and 2% crit (Slayer title) Werebear (lv44) goes up to 60% dmg and 3% crit (Terminator) Harkan (lv50): 70% dmg, 4% crit (Annihilator) Archon Junior (lv60): 80% dmg, 5% crit (Conqueror) imho, the best licences are for monsters.. : you like are easy to kill enough of them there to keep killing non stop drop nice materials got to kill many for quests dont have too bad effects (like poison is really bad if you cant cure it) |

personally i would go with lvl 25-30 Wild Imp/Spider/Bat lvl 30-40 Zombie/Grave Wolf/Tomb Fox or lvl 35+ Bone Imp/Hob/ghost some of those (like bone imp hob fox wolf and ghost could be hard to get) it seems like a good sword so i would go with high 30s monsters i think my first set would be better for a strong lvl 20 though... |

i always try to group them in threes Btw if you really wanted you could have Weakened Ogre/King Coll/Harkan on your lvl 30 but thats like extreme 30s... |

i'm doing wearbears for lvl 40... they're pretty good too... 1 less crit % than harkans.. though.. but i can kill them a touch faster and there's more of them around

Yeah i put Harkan/Coll on my lvl 30 but i went to Uru pretty early so it wasnt the best move....
Prolly try to get Trumpies Stonies and somthing else on my lvl 50 anyone know a good AEW/FoS group of monsters? |
DX I hate licenses. Especially the name imprinted on it. It's harder to sell mainly because ppl don't like having a incomplete license/ur name on it. And it gets realy boring killing the same mob the whole time.

To be honest, I like having my name on an item I licensed. Especially when I enhance it +5 or further. After all, it is a job well done by me with my stamp of approval. I even level the weapon to get the added bonuses and increase it's cost. XD

I don't use licenses. Although if I did i'd use a Weakened Ogre, Harkan, and King Coll but only my level 50 weapon as it would be a waste on my level 40 weapon. I had a Harkan license but gave it away to some Fighter. I have no use for it for a while so by the time I can use it i'll just get another. On my level 15 I just put all three Mara Pirate licenses on it. I didn't put anything on my level 20 or level 30 weapon because it takes too long to level up licenses at those level. Although for a Mage, it would be extremely easy to level up licenses same with Archers because they kill stuff so fast.

Agrees if they have a party where they dont have too many dds...
and not unluky like me Cleric stole about 5 kills in a row that i needed for a liscense by pure luck xP |

If I got three licenses for my weapon and completed them all I could practically double the value of my weapon. The only licenses I could see being worth it would be a King Coll, Harkan, Weakened Ogre, and/or a Vampire Bat for my weapon.

So far I have Hob and Ghost. Saving the last spot right now. Might put Earth Spider instead of bone imp as the spiders drop scroll making loot and the imps don't seem to be itemized. Or just have a lame drop rate. Thanks for the advice guys.

Reviving this topic as im not getting to level 40 and want some info on 40s.
So to rehash: LvL15 weapon Mara Elite Mara Mauraders Speed Boogies LvL20 early Glow Wolfs LVL20 Late Ice Vivi Spider Wild Imp or bats LvL30s Early Hobs Ghost LVL 30s Late Weakend Ogres Harkens Lvl 40s early ?? LVL 40s Late ?? Thats what I think for Fighter who always has cleric with him. I thought the Hobs and Ghosts would be better late but they are too easy now in my late 40s. I think harkens and stuff is too low to fight in 40s with good xp. Any one know if orcs might be good for mid to late 40s? They give +5% if you can complete it. I have +9 GGk cutlass in the bank waiting for licenses. /function |
40 early Bone Imp/Prock/Harkan/Coll/Ogres
40 Late... werebear i guess(personally dislike)/Harkan/Coll/Ogres Bone Imps and Procks have quests (might be in high 30s though) Harkan/Coll/Ogres are good exp and drops Werebear... repeat quests...but who does those? personally put Harkan on but never finished it... never even close depends where you want to train if you chose CP party use those three, if solo choose the Prock/Imp/Werebear you can also mix it up. What class are you because it might be hard to uplvl liscense in party these are just some thoughts. |
I am a fighter that boxes a cleric on my second computer so getting the kill shot isn't an issue. I think Harkens and such will be too low level in the mid to late 40s I can already kill them easily at 36 so by 45 they will be a joke.
I was hoping for a higher level suggestion. I saw somewhere that "orc" gave +5% for a complete license. Thought that might be good if anyone has info. /function |
You do know that Harkans are actually for 45+ players. When you have a lv40 weapon it'd be nice to put on Harkan/Weakened Ogre/King Coll. This is what most will be killing at that level. Plus, if you find them to be easy then finishing the license will be a breeze for you. You'll get that crit bonus in no time.
Orcs do add 5% critical when completed but you're not going to be killing those as easily imo. But never huts to try I suppose. |
