Item Idea Thread
 

As some of you may know, there has been a new thread in the Fiesta Forums called "Artist Corner". It gives the users a chance to try and come up with ideas for items they would like to see added in-game, whether it be a new weapon skin, costume or costume item, mini pet, mount or mini house.

I know that not everyone is an artist, but it would be nice to see some ideas to help us all brainstorm. (In particular it would be nice to get some input from the guys, especially for in-game clothing. Some of the male costumes are dress suits or somewhat girly, and it would be awesome to see some more ideas for the male gamers out there. The main artists in the corner are female like myself, and we tend to think of the girls first for some reason... :3)

Feel free to check out some of the things we're working on, and also give us feedback or brainstorm for ideas! Also note: no matter how much you may like characters such as Link, Miku Hatsune and others, we CANNOT use their designs because that would violate copyright and potentially lead to trouble we don't wish to mess with.

Anywhoo...feel free to just start sharing your ideas here. It never hurts to make a suggestion and see where it may go.

-YOJO: caveman, army helmet, jester, skeleton tux, banana

uhh... if os is willing to pay for copyright, they should get halo suits that give armor... and also,

the weapon skins are as follows... ( ihope someone here played halo b4)...

fighter, 1h sword=energy sword
fighter 2h weapon=golf club (rofl(lol))
cleric mace=____________(some1 help me think of something... i just woke up..)
cleric hammer=gravity hammer
archer bow=sniper rifle
archer crossbow=spartan laser
mage staff=fuel rod gun
mage wand=missile pod

I don't think OS wants to pay for copyright, not to mention the fact that they would need permission from the makers of Halo before being able to pay for copyright. The idea is to come up with original items that will still be fun for everyone, and are appropriate for the Fiesta world. It is fantasy, which does open the doors to many, many ideas, although there are some things that wouldn't fit, such as a hot rod mount.

Well if you want to use Halo weps then play Halo...where would the fun be in having the same weapons used in every game you play? Also there would be no need for us to draw it if it was already made. It kind of takes the fun out of everything.

I've heard of guys playing as girls because the costumes & sc items are awesome XD

Rofl I've seen guys equip a bow like Minnie mouse and wear a tie and g string... Creepy

Haha...what we really need are some good ideas for things guys would like to wear. It's easy to make girl stuff to match, really. The only thing is that when I ask the guys in my guild or friend list they agre that we need better stuff for the guys, but then all they can suggest is "something cool", or an item off another game character. X'D

No I'm not OS staff, but they allowed some of the people that love to draw an opportunity where we could draw ideas for items we would love to see them make, and if OS staff liked them they may make them into actual in-game items.

However i got a question. They won't pay the people who do these will they. Crowdsourcing ftw but i think people who actually will draw these and make the presentation versions for OOS should get a little token of appriciation.

Anyway i'll post here if i think of smething nice x3

@Jane: It is likely we won't be paid, but I don't mind because it's a good creative outlet for me, and it gives the others as well as myself a taste of what game design is like. In case any of us do decide to take our careers in that direction, I guess you could say we're working on a portfolio? Maybe we'll recieve one of what we make for free; I really can't say as of yet.

I never learned (with the aid of a teacher) how to draw anything other than realism, actually. It took a lot of practice drawing, and looking at a lot of pictures and tutorials.

How about a pirate costume since there is a ninja costume already in the shop. or a Parrot pet :uhoh:.

It's really funny you mention that...one of the other artists made a pirate costume as well as a mini parrot. 8D

hehe and maybe you could do like a caveman outfit i dunno im just gonna throw ideas out there. Or like an army helmet.

Caveman...that's actually a pretty funny/fun sounding idea. Maybe I should make a list on the front page of ideas.

how about a joker outfit or like a jester outfit and hat with a funny pet that matches, or a skeleton + tux combo, or maybe, or one of those banana halloween costumes (dont know how popular that last one will be tho) i just had a random thought why doesnt fiesta make an ugly sweater for next years christmas special item.......

@abovepost: Joker outfit! Sounds good. If ever there WILL be one though, I hope OS won't make it look... Too weird. Skeleton-tux costume? How's that gonna look like? And lol at the banana idea and LOL at the ugly sweater idea. xD

well i love this thread to much to let it die so here are some more ideas :cutielove: ...............

like the small snowman in the shop there could be a bird in a bird nest hat, and for a house idea do like a snail shell or a like stump house.........

@ above post well i was thinking for the joker costume you could use like a mardi gras clown colors and for the skeleton tux it would look like a tux with a skeleton rib cage under the jacket and like ripped pants so it shows leg bones i guess......

hey, how bout ninja full skin that gets a bonus in pvp vs pirate and vice versa, and let's u do 120% dmg...
