Being a cleric, I didn't find it that hard. Sure it's a little harder to keep aggro, but if you tab between all of them and just hit each one, you should do a fine job of keeping them off Roumen and Elderine. I passed it my first try, so I wouldn't really worry that much.

I failed twice.. I think..

Some tips would be to heal yourself a lot, even if u're not dying, it's one way to keep aggro and reduce the chance of the mobs going to Elderine and Roumen..

And yeah tab through the mobs, and hit them until you get aggro off Elderine and Roumen, you don't necessarily have to kill the mob before you hit the one...

Mob spawns in two groups, one on either side of the bonfire, I often stand on one side, try get aggro of one group, then work on the other group...

in the end you just have to work fairly quickly and.. GOOD LUCK!

I played it for a few people who had trouble with it. It was pretty fun, comparable rush to when you're barely managing to keep people alive. Then again, I was a virgin non-CS user on my original play-through so had to use all +0.

If they haven't changed anything since I played, it's pretty much like the previous posters said. Gaining aggro purely through heal-spam seems to be less effective than in normal-maps so cycle Bashes on mobs that are attacking the NPCs.

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard that Roumen has more HP/Def than Elderine so they said to prioritize getting mobs off of her. Take that with a grain of salt.

They spawn in clumps so just wade in there and gain aggro.

Ty for advice, but I still got some questions...:laugh:

1. do roumen and eldy hit high?
2. will dragging them away before the next mob be helpful?
3. does restore generate aggro?

u guys are awesome, thank you so much!

Kaini 11-28-2010 11:34 PM

1. not really xD
2. not really.... xD
3. YES, more than heal I think, use it.

^^;

like the other said, healing to get aggro isn't as good as just tabbing through the mob and hitting each until you get aggro. That is what I did, and it works best.

it like Janesama said,its not as hard as everyone says. i successed on my first try on my cleric. just make sure the mobs attack you most of the time and you`ll be fine. but i had to spam every heal i had

Restore doesn't gain aggro. You'll want to be spamming the crud out of Rejuvenate. That is a major aggro stealer. Also don't camp at Eld/Roum, go out and meet the mass from one of them. This is a good way to keep them off the heroes, and also generally the heroes will help each other this way, just make sure to watch them.

Don't use a def/eva scroll you want them hitting you and hitting you harder so you can heal more and pull more agro. Use a vit and aim if you use a hammer. Also if it helps keep them on you leave off your pants and boots. Keep the top for the HP boost assuming you use a 55 top. This will allow you to heal for more and keep them on you. Towards the end you'll need to put them back on probably though for the defense.

(It may seem like I'm stalking every thread infestation is on...I'm not, I swear q-q)

Anyway, main tips:
1. The mobs spawn in two large groups; figure out where they will spawn, then stand at one of them so you can immediately get aggro of one group when they spawn.
2. Eldy is squishier than Roumen (SEXIST D:<). Prioritize getting mobs off of her.
3. Hit tab and cycle through the mobs. Attack the mobs that are attacking the NPCs ONLY enough to gain aggro, then move onto the next monster. You want to take as much damage away from the NPCs as possible since you probably can't kill them quickly. @-@ (Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that if the NPCs are alive by the time the timer runs out, you will win regardless of whether or not the monsters are still alive.)
4. Spam heal and rejuve to maintain aggro.
5. Certain mobs hit harder than others (I forgot what they were q-q). I guess look at OS forums to find out what they are and prioritize getting those monsters off the NPCs first. n-n;

I finished it on my first try, pretty much spam heal, stock up on some potions, scrolls and hp/spr stones, and in case you get mobbed too much just run around and have the 2 npc kill them off.

DarkValkyrie 12-13-2010 10:44 AM

I finished it on my first try on both Bijou and Legel. The key is like it has been stated to spam heal and I ocassionally use tab to go through the mobs quickly and make sure as less as possible are attacking the NPCs.
